Chapter 6 VI

Elly

While I lay in bed, trying to sleep, I keep thinking of Kain. And my heart aches for him. I can't even imagine being alone for so long as he has been.

I think of what Kain asked of me, to dance for him. What if I dance for him tomorrow? I am sure he won't expect it. He can show me his photos, and I can dance for him.

I was about to fall asleep when I receive a text message on my phone. I retrieve it from my nightstand and look at the text message. I smile, and my heart beats a little faster when I see that Kain wrote to me. He also sent me a photo of the moon. "I wish you were with me right now, gazing at the moon."

The thought of being with Kain under the starry sky while we look at the moon makes my heart beat even faster. Why is my heart beating so fast? I know Kain, for what? Two days?

But it is something about Kain that makes me think about him. A lot. And I can hardly wait to see him tomorrow. And to dance for him.

"I would like to be with you too. See you tomorrow morning," I tell him.

In the morning, I spend a lot of time in front of the mirror. I put on natural make-up, check my clothes in the mirror several times, brush my hair, and tie it in a high ponytail. And when I am satisfied with my look, I go to the kitchen to eat breakfast.

"Do you have a date?" my brother asks when he sees me. "Who is he? What rank is he? Is he your mate?" My brother starts with his never-ending questions.

"Slow down, Dan. I am not going on a date with anyone," I say, but in reality, I feel like I am having a date with Kain. Is it a date? I want it to be.

Dan narrows his eyes. I can tell he is not buying it.

"Then why are you dressed up? You are even wearing make-up."

"I am not dressed up. I am wearing a t-shirt and shorts. And I can wear make-up when I want," I say, hoping he would drop the subject. "Do you know who asked me about your number?" I ask him, trying to change the subject.

"Elly, don't try to change the subject," Dan says.

"Andrea. She told me yesterday she needs someone to take her shopping. Her car broke down, and I told her you would take be more than happy to be her driver for a day," I say, ignoring him.

Dan grunts. "I hope you didn't tell her that. I am not free to drive females around while they shop."

But before I can answer, I hear the doorbell. "This must be her," I say and rush to open the door.

"Hi, Elly!" Andrea says and hugs me. She is new to the pack. Andrea and her family moved about two weeks ago, and she is the only female that is trying to be my friend.

"Hi, Andrea," I say, returning her hug. "Dan is in the kitchen. He is waiting for you."

Five minutes later, Andrea is dragging Dan after her.

"Have fun!" I say and close the door. I wait until I hear the car leaving and go to the forest.

I am so happy. I can spend the whole day with Kain.

Kain

I sit on a blanket, my back leaned on a rock, waiting for Elly while I check the photos I chose to show her. I spent a long time last night selecting only the best pictures.

"Kain! I am here!" I hear Elly's musical voice.

I look at her. God! She is so beautiful, she takes my breath away. I wonder what she would say if I told her how much I love her. That I couldn't forget her since I was eleven years old. I have to be patient. Maybe one day she will love me back. I only hope she won't find her mate until then. Because when she finds her mate, everything will be over.

"Elly! You look so beautiful!" I say before I can stop myself.

"Thank you," she tells me, with a bright smile on her face.

"How about I show you more pictures?" I say and wait for her to sit next to me on the blanket.

I decided to bring a blanket because I thought it would be more comfortable than the log.

I am busy showing her a picture I took in Paris when, suddenly, Elly shrieks and straddles me, putting her hands around my neck. I can see she is very scared.

"Oh, God! Oh, God! A spider! " she says in a panicked voice.

"It is OK, Elly! Tell me where the spider is, and I will make sure he won't scare anymore."

"On the blanket," Elly says while she tries to get even closer to me, pressing her body to mine.

I look on the blanket, where moments ago Elly stood, and I don't see anything. I look back at Elly. She looks at me with wide- eyes.

"Tell me it is gone. I hate spiders!" Elly says, looking into my eyes.

"You can relax. It is gone. I won't let anything bad happen to you."

I start running my hands up and down her back while I wait for her to calm down. Her scent is driving me crazy and I try hard to control myself, because I want to kiss her. I push all thoughts away. The only thing that matters is to get Elly calmed.

After a while, she relaxes. And her face turns red, like a beet. She closes her eyes and groans.

"Please tell me I am not on top of you right now," she says.

"Elly, look at me," I tell her.

She shakes her head and tries to get away, but I put my hands on her hips and stop her. She opens her eyes and looks at me with confusion.

"Kain?"

My entire focus is on her pink lips. Her scent is driving me crazy. And before I realize what I am doing, my lips are on her lips, kissing her. I know I took her by surprise because, for a moment, she stiffens in my arms. Moments later, she is kissing me back. I push my tongues between her lips, and when she opens her mouth for me, I push my tongue in her mouth. God! She tastes so sweet. My tongue moves inside her mouth, tasting her, and soon both our tongues are engaged in a dance.

I switch positions, and Elly is now under me. I break the kiss to look into her eyes. I want to be sure she wants to kiss me as much as me. She puts a hand around my neck and brings me closer to her until our lips are almost touching. "Kiss me again," she whispers, and my mouth is back on hers, sucking her tongue.

My hands travel all around her body while soft moans escape her lips.

"I imagined kissing you before, but it is better than how I thought it would be," I tell her between kisses.

"You imagined kissing me?" she asks me.

"All the time," I say and kiss her again.

We kiss for a long time until her lips are red and puffy. I lie on my side, looking at Elly. I caress her cheek with my thumb. She looks at me with her chocolate eyes.

"I want you to be mine, Elly. I love you. I always did," I confess to her.

"Kain. We can't be together. You know the rules," she says with a sad voice.

"I don't care about the rules, Elly. All I care about is you. All I ever wanted is you. I spent ten years looking for you, and now that I found you, I will do anything to be with you," I say before kissing her again
