Chapter 8 The Most Distinguished Guest

The moment the three of them set foot in the nightclub, everyone's eyes were on them. It was impossible to ignore such distinguished guests. It would be criminal to neglect them, and so they held the staff's attention just as keenly as they held the guests'. The three men were sent to a specially reserved and prepared VIP room. Groups of well-dressed girls were sent to them to keep them entertained for the night. Even the owner of the club, Judith Xi, came to personally propose a toast to them.

The girls that had been sent to them had readily volunteered to serve them when they'd seen how handsome the three men were. They were used to serving old, fat men who had no manners or were obscene to the core. It was a rare treat that they got to see rich, young, single men. They had been just about to clamber over to serve them. And they'd done so with wide, charming smiles on their faces.

"What an honor it is to have such distinguished gentlemen in our small nightclub!" Judith said cheerily as she walked into the VIP room. She was holding half a glass of wine in her hand and had an enchanting smile on her face. Judging by her appearance, she was in her early forties. But she was still as glamorous and beautiful as though she were a lady in her prime. Her makeup was done in such a way that it flattered her striking facial features, only further enhancing her natural charm that she exuded with every step she took.

Colin's eyes widened as he beheld the stunning woman before him. He took a glass of wine offered to him by one of the girls and raised it towards Judith in a toast. Then he gulped down the rich red liquid in a single breath.

"I guess you are the boss around here," Colin said as he put his glass down and turned to Wilson. "I have to say... This place is awesome. I didn't think such a small town could have such an astonishing establishment. I mean, just look at the owner! How charming and beautiful is she?"

Wilson, as usual, looked completely disinterested. He leaned back against the sofa and regarded Judith with a calm expression. He didn't look tempted in the least bit, never once allowing the cold expression to lift from his face. "Nova!" he called, completely disregarding Colin's words.

Nova carefully disentangled himself from the woman clinging to him. He muttered gentle apologies and gave her that sweet smile of his. When he turned to Wilson, it was with a look of understanding on his face. "Alright then. Now that the boss is here, I think we can reveal why we are actually here. We heard you had a very popular girl working here by the name of Isabel Lan. Would you mind calling her over here?"

At the mention of her name, all the chatter and giggling stopped. The entire atmosphere went quiet, and the impending feeling of dissatisfaction could be felt. All the girls around the men were frowning now, their playful expressions gone. They all looked towards Judith, but none of them said a word.

"It's no wonder you three gentlemen are here then. Of course you'd be here for Isabel!" Judith said as she swept her gaze over the men. She narrowed her eyes in consideration, then looked back at Wilson. While she didn't know who they were, she could sum up enough to know that they were different from her usual guests. She'd seen enough people in her life to realize that these men were customers she couldn't afford to offend. Since they'd come for Isabel, keeping them happy should be easy enough. She gave a nod then turned to the bartender. "Go and fetch Isabel!" she said to him.

"Boss, Isabel already has an appointment with Mr. Hong. He's been on the waiting list for her for a long time already," the bartender said timidly. He looked in the direction of another room situated outside.

"Cut the crap and do as I say," Judith said sternly. Her charming smile was replaced by a look of displeasure at being disobeyed. She was quite certain that Wilson was perhaps the most important guest in the club at the moment. Even if Mr. Hong had been 10 times the man he was now, he'd never be able to compete with this gentleman.

"Yes, madam!" The bartender nodded and turned to do her bidding without further argument.

The second the bartender left through the door, Wilson fixed eyes on it. He paid no attention to what was going on around him. The slowly building chatter and the music faded into the background, nothing was as important as the door to that room at that moment. Behind that door was Isabel Lan, the most popular girl in the nightclub, and the woman he'd been dreaming of for far too long.
