Chapter 2 His Attitude Greatly Changed

Andres came back home to discuss some countermeasures with Eddie. However, he didn't expect that Everly would also come back.

'Here she is! This is the bitch who wants to replace me in this family. How shameless she is to let me take her as my sister, ' Everly thought to herself. She stared at Ansley fiercely. Her eyes were full of viciousness.

'Alas, these kids are really disobedient, ' Ansley thought helplessly, sighing with resignation.

She hooked the chain of the jade pendant in her fingertips and swayed it casually.

"Eddie, how is it? Have you decided yet?" Her patience was limited.

Eddie thought that a carrot-and-stick approach was needed to solve this problem, so he prepared a long speech to persuade Ansley. However, when he saw the jade pendant in her hand, his eyes narrowed in shock.

When Eddie didn't say anything, Andres was afraid that he would change his mind, so he hurriedly opened the box on the coffee table.

Then he turned to Ansley and snapped, "You! You're such a bitch! What have you done to my father? Believe it or not, I will kill you!" Andres pinned all the blame on Ansley. As he spoke, he was about to rush over to her.

Slap! Before he could make a move, Eddie's palm landed on his face.

"Bastard! You get the hell out of here!" Eddie's eyes were burning with rage. It seemed that he had turned into a totally different person.

Perplexed, Andres stood rooted to the spot. He wanted to say something, but Cecilia stopped him at once.

Something was off. Eddie was supposed to send Ansley away. Why did his attitude change all of a sudden, when he saw the jade pendant?

Was there anything special about this jade pendant?

"Andres, don't be impulsive. Just do as Dad said." Cecilia was shrewd enough to make the right decision in this critical moment.

Eddie was an austere man who wouldn't do anything against his principles. There must be a reason why he had changed his mind.

"Mom, why are you stopping Dad? Just let this bitch know that the Luo family isn't somewhere she can come and go as she pleased," Everly chimed in anxiously when she noticed that something was wrong.

"Shut up!" Eddie shouted in an authoritative voice, ignoring her complaint.

'How can Grandpa be so stubborn? He can't even distinguish right from wrong, ' Everly thought to herself. She felt so aggrieved that Eddie scolded her, and her hatred towards Ansley got even worse.

"Miss Ansley Luo, I wonder if you already have a place to live," Eddie said as he bent down respectfully.

And, of course, Ansley was satisfied with his attitude.

"Well, since we are a family, we should live together here, right?" Ansley replied concisely. In a word, Eddie immediately understood.

"I'll ask someone to clean a room for you right now." He was so eager to ingratiate himself with her.

Under the malicious gaze of the members of the Luo family, Ansley slowly stood up. She glanced at Andres, who was still being restrained by Cecelia, then looked at Everly, who was crying. She then shook her head.

"Eddie, since you admit that you've failed to recognize me at first, I can forgive you. But your son is such a potty mouth and ill-mannered man."

"Yes, yes, you are right. I am so sorry if he has offended you," Eddie said hurriedly.

Andres was furious that he didn't know what to say.

Ansley walked over to Eddie and patted him on the shoulder.

"Next time, if he says something like this, I don't mind teaching him a lesson for you." The corners of her mouth curled up, but what she said was shocking.

Beads of sweat oozed out of Eddie's forehead as he nodded repeatedly.

He instantly broke out in a cold sweat. But he tried his best to regain his majestic aura and turned around to face Andres' family.

"Andres, having a new member in our family is not really a big deal. Who knows, her arrival is a blessing to us, and she is an important person," Eddie said firmly.

He had to confirm something first before telling them the truth. After all, Ansley's real identity was really shocking.
