Chapter 10 An Encounter With Everly

Ansley walked out of the faculty room feeling a little depressed. She kept thinking of Bonnie, which was also her name in ancient times. She was really annoyed. It was true that she was surrounded by hundreds of handsome men at that time. But she really didn't feel anything for them. She just had the hobby of collecting them.

Ansley was really pissed off.

She couldn't help but wonder if those people were questioning her abilities. The more she thought about it, the angrier she got. She took out her phone and called the only number in her phonebook.

"Hello, ancestor. What can I do for you?" Jordy said in a hoarse voice that sounded unpleasant.

"Don't talk to me in such a disgusting voice."

"I'm sorry, ancestor." Jordy's voice became normal this time.

"Prepare a marriage agreement for me. And what do I need to do to get married now?" Ansley said unhurriedly.

There was a long silence on the other end of the line. Jordy was so shocked that it took time before he asked in disbelief, "Ancestor, are you getting married?"

"Yes."

Jordy lost his tongue again. "Where are you right now? I'll ask someone to send the material to you once I'm done with it."

"Okay. I'm in Imperial University," Ansley replied.

The way she talked, Jordy felt that something was wrong with her.

He checked his family records. Every time Ansley showed up, she would do something shocking. But this time, why did she go to the university? Did she only plan to get married and go to school?

Going to school was the least he expected from her. It sounded so ridiculous.

Then all of a sudden, Jordy remembered what his grand ancestor had once told him.

Ansley was not an ordinary person like them. He was about to ask her if she had already adjusted to her new environment and was having a good time

when she hung up.

Ansley waited in the university boringly for two hours before Jordy's man finally appeared to meet her. She took all the documents and looked through them with satisfaction.

"Well done. Tell Jordy that I have a reward for him later." She was smiling now.

Jordy's man looked at her in surprise. He didn't know why she said those words. Why did she just call Jordy, who was his master, by his first name and even said that she would reward Jordy later?

But he remembered that Jordy warned him not to do anything reckless, so he didn't get angry with her. He just said goodbye to her and drove away.

Ansley looked at the documents in her hand and smiled satisfyingly. She found a place where no one was around and dropped her scooter on the ground. Then she turned on the GPS of her phone to locate Yan Group accurately.

On her way out, she encountered someone.

As soon as she arrived at the door of the library, she happened to meet Everly, who was going out. Her only concern now was to find Wilson, so she didn't bother to talk to Everly. She turned around and was about to leave.

"Ansley?" Ansley heard Everly call her from behind.

She felt it was so annoying.

But she still turned around. "What's up?" she said in an unfriendly tone.

Everly seemed to be so aggrieved. Instead of replying to Ansley, she put on a pitiful look and glanced at her friend next to her.

Ansley really had the urge to throw Everly back to ancient times to be a concubine. Everly was so cunny. She could surely win and get a higher position while fighting against the other imperial concubines.

"Ansley, I'm really sorry. Including you, there are only three students in Archaeology Department. It must be very difficult for you to get along with them, right?" Everly suddenly said. But she didn't sound like she sympathized with Ansley. Instead, she gloated over Ansley's situation.

Ansley had lived tens of thousands of years longer than Everly. Of course, she could see through what was on Everly's mind.

"It turns out that she is your sister. She actually chose archaeology? That's really surprising! I heard that the passing score in Archaeology Department is very high. I wonder what's her score in the entrance exam," a young woman who looked acrimonious and mean chimed in.

Upon hearing her words, Everly looked at Ansley with embarrassment and responded, "My sister didn't take the entrance exam." She was implying that Ansley was a good-for-nothing, and her family spent a lot of money for Ansley to get a chance to go to college.

Everyone around was smart enough to understand what Everly meant. So when they looked at Ansley, their eyes were full of contempt.

While listening to them, disdain surged from the bottom of Ansley's heart.

"Yes, you are right. Everly, I heard that you only enrolled here after passing the exam. That's awesome. Unlike me, I only got in here because of Eddie's help."

Ansley had never lost in arguing with others in the past tens of thousands of years.

Sure enough, Everly pulled a long face. She felt very embarrassed.

"Ansley! What do you mean by that?" she shouted.

Ansley's expression turned cold. She had already lost her patience with Everly.

"What I mean is, Eddie treats me better than you. Do you understand? If you don't, I suggest that you learn your mother tongue again."

Pissing people off was a piece of cake for Ansley. Before Everly could lose her temper, she had turned around and left.

Watching Ansley's receding back, Everly was furious. She didn't mind the comforting words of the people around her. She clenched her fists so tightly that her nails dug in her palms.

'Ansley, you've insulted me in front of so many people today. I'll definitely not let this pass. Definitely not!' she thought in rage.

There was a trace of cruelty in her eyes that seemed inappropriate for her age.

Ansley didn't care about these young women at all. The only thing she wanted to do in the world this time was to find out why there was such a bond between her and Wilson. Previously, Wilson was either too ugly or too poor after his reincarnation. And he died before she could find him. But now, he turned into a handsome man, and she liked him. Of course, she wanted to chase after him, let him stay by her side, and study him carefully.

At the thought of him, the depression in her heart was slightly dispelled. She swaggered into the parking lot, walked straight to the elevator, and went to the 66th floor.

As soon as the elevator door opened, Ansley bumped into Conor. Frightened, he took a few steps back.

"It's you again!" Conor uttered in horror.

He wondered why Ansley just appeared and disappeared all of a sudden. Besides, this elevator needed his and Wilson's fingerprints to work. How was she able to enter and come up here?

"Where is Wilson?" Ansley asked directly, ignoring Conor's words.

Here she was again, asking him the same question. Conor hesitated for a while before he decided to talk to her. But when he saw her face clearly, he couldn't help swallowing.

"Well... Miss Luo, I think you must have been instigated to pester Wilson. He is already very angry. You or the Luo family can't bear the consequences if you don't leave him alone," Conor warned calmly.

"Oh? So what?" As she spoke, Ansley looked at him leisurely.

"You'd better leave and give up as early as now. In that case, you can save the Luo family, who was behind you," Conor advised sincerely.

Seeing the stubbornness on his face, Ansley lowered her head and chuckled.

"Do you think you can punish the Luo family at will? I'm looking forward to it," she said in a clear voice.

Conor was stunned when he saw the smile on Ansley's face. He only felt that at the moment, something exploded in his mind. And he even forgot what to say.
