Chapter 8 Why Hadn't She Shown Up Yet

In Imperial University.

"Hey, I heard that your Archaeology Department has a new student. Is it true?" Gerard Su said. He and his friends stopped Brenda Ge and Terrence Han, who were about to pass by them.

"I thought you two are the only idiots in the world. I didn't expect that another stupid person would choose to study archaeology," said one of Gerard Su's friends.

Gerard Su, who had always been surrounded by a group of people from rich families, had a dazzling appearance. With his lascivious eyes and charming look, he was very eye-catching. The obsidian earring on his left ear that gleamed added to his appeal. He actually looked like a playboy.

Holding a stack of history books, Brenda Ge pushed her glasses and was about to argue with them. But before she could open her mouth, her wrist was grabbed by Terrence Han.

"Brenda, just don't mind them. They are not the only ones who tell us that, anyway." Terrence Han, wearing a plaid shirt, lowered his head and was about to pull Brenda Ge away.

Brenda Ge wanted to vent her anger, but she still listened to Terrence Han. When she turned around and was about to leave, a disdainful voice resounded behind her again.

"Gerard, see that? This bucktooth is quite courageous. She doesn't even allow us to talk to her like that. But it's true that everyone in Archaeology Department is insane," Miguel Bian sarcastically said as he crossed his arms over his chest.

Upon hearing this, Brenda Ge, who had been pulled by Terence Han, suddenly stopped and turned around.

Terrence Han's face turned pale. He knew that he couldn't stop Brenda Ge, so he was naturally afraid of Gerard Su and his friends.

"Brenda, let's go!" He thought he could save Brenda Ge, who was about to lose her temper.

"Terence, let go of me. Why are you so cowardly all the time? Everyone is already scolding you, and yet, you just let them bully you. What can you get if you keep flinching? Do you think everything will become peaceful? That's bullshit!" Brenda Ge handed her books to Terrence Han and took off her glasses.

"Brenda, I... You'd better not cause trouble," Terrence Han stuttered after being silent for a long time.

"Coward!" Brenda Ge snapped, glaring at him.

Terrence Han was a tall young man with a height of one hundred and eighty centimeters. But he didn't even dare to raise his head.

Brenda Ge didn't bother to look at him. Instead, she walked straight to Gerard Su and his group.

"Gerard, I don't know if your life is just too idle. As far as I can remember, you are from the Architecture Department. What are you doing here in Archaeology Department? What we do here is none of your business. If I were you, I would stop messing around. I'm a Taekwondo black belt and a martial arts champion. Keep behaving recklessly, and I'll torture you to death. I will let you experience the real whole-body massage." As she spoke, Brenda Ge rolled up her sleeves. She didn't look like an elegant young woman at all.

Gerard Su's eyebrows twitched as he looked at Brenda Ge in front of him.

"Gerard, this bucktooth is so reckless. Does she think we are afraid of her? Does she know who she's scaring?" Miguel Bian said as he also rolled up his sleeves.

At this moment, a thin young woman stood in front of several strong young men. Obviously, she was at a disadvantage. But she was unwilling to give in. A fight was about to break out.

Gerard Su stared at her and got a chance to study her features. She had short hair and a pair of dark and bright eyes that make her look energetic. She was not that pretty, but she was lovely.

But... Of course, she only looked lovely when she behaved elegantly. But now that she made an attack posture, she looked totally different.

"Well... Miguel, what she said is true. Don't be impulsive." Gerard Su hurriedly pressed down Miguel Bian's hand, looking a little embarrassed.

Miguel Bian was so surprised that he was rendered speechless. He couldn't help but wonder why Brenda Ge seemed to have a different impact on Gerard Su.

While Miguel Bian was still at a loss, Gerard Su hurriedly pulled him behind him. Then he looked at Terrence Han not far away, then at Brenda Ge, who was moving her wrist.

"Let's go!" he ordered to his friends. But he sounded a bit unwilling.

Gerard Su and his friends went there defiantly, but now they left dejectedly. Who would have believed it happened? But when the onlookers looked at Brenda Ge, who stopped acting aggressively, it didn't seem to be that difficult to understand.

How embarrassing it would be for a group of young men to take action against a young woman!

If Brenda Ge knew what everyone around her was thinking, she would probably be so annoyed. It was very obvious that Gerard Su and his friends were afraid of being hit by her, right? They were the ones who should feel ashamed.

Watching Gerard Su's group's receding figures, she snorted coldly. Then she turned around, put on her glasses back, and left with a stack of books in her arms. With an anxious expression on his face, Terrence Han followed behind her, trying to explain himself.

When the onlookers gradually dispersed, an illusory figure suddenly appeared on a big tree.

Ansley sat on a branch as thick as an arm and watched Brenda Ge leave. There was an unabated interest in her eyes.

She had witnessed everything that happened just now. She found Brenda Ge so interesting that she couldn't help but take a liking to her. Brenda Ge must also have a good taste because she chose to study archaeology.

Thinking of this, Ansley lifted her feet lightly. She was like a butterfly that fell to the ground while dancing.

Inside the control room of Imperial University, the security guard, who was dozing off, caught a glimpse of Ansley, who suddenly appeared on the screen.

He rubbed his eyes and murmured, "Alas, I am really old. I can't see things clearly now. I thought she suddenly appeared." Then he shut his eyes again and let out a deafening snore.

Ansley walked around the corridors leisurely. Many people passed by her, but no one dared to stop because of her eye-catching appearance. As long as she didn't want to, no one could see her true face.

As soon as she reached the faculty office of the Archaeology Department, she heard a familiar voice.

She was a little speechless. Why did the younger generation like to gossip about others? And every time they talked about something concerning her, she happened to be outside the door.

Right now, Terrence was telling Ted what happened just now vividly.

"Professor, Brenda is too impulsive. Her behavior will only embarrass our Archaeology Department. What's more, Gerard is a member of the Su family. If he wants to punish her, I don't want our department to be implicated. I really don't know what's wrong with her. How can she defend a person she doesn't know at all?" Terrence Han's voice was loud enough to be heard from the outside. He kept complaining like a child who was bullied in kindergarten.

"Besides, our new classmate's bad reputation has been known to everyone before she comes. She is even rude to you. It's better to directly refuse to accept her," he added in a firm voice.

Ted remained silent with his head down. No one knew what he was thinking.

Terrence Han thought that Ted was lost in his thought, so he poured a glass of water for him and asked, "Professor Song, what do you think?"

Ted was irritated by Terrence Han's question. He looked up and said unhappily, "Terrence, if you pay more attention to your studies, your grades won't be so bad. Although Brenda has a bad temper, she does well in her studies." He was so straightforward.

Terrence Han pulled a long face. He didn't expect that Ted would turn a blind eye to Brenda Ge's recklessness just because she had good grades.

"Okay, Professor Song. I understand. I still have a pile of documents to sort out, so I'll take my leave now." He then stood up and quickly left without waiting for Ted to respond.

Ted waved his hand, still absentminded.

He was actually thinking about Ansley. Didn't she say she would be back after three days? Why hadn't she shown up yet?
