Chapter 7 Real Queen

Hailey's POV:

I close my eyes and leaned on my seat. I remain looking at Vera with a fierce look.

"Tell me, Are you making fun of me?" I calmly uttered and she rolled her eyes on me. Tsk, one more and I will get her blinded.

No one dares to do that to me, If she's not just my friend, I will sue this b*tch.

"Do I look like I'm messing up with you? I'm serious, B*tch" I let out a heavy sigh. The nerve of that woman. After all that she did, She still has a face to go back to?

I took a glance at the road, It's so traffic.

"Then, let's see" I grinned while my blood was boiling. Let's see if you can still bear with me. I'm not going to let that happen again.

Not anymore

I turned my gazes at Vera when I felt that she's still staring at me.

"What are you thinking?" The server interrupted us when he serves the food, I let the server walk away before I touch my lower lip using my index finger.

"Power is the most important to one person, and money is the key to power" Then I became serious, She looks at me wondered but she gets what I'm pointing after a minute.

"So, she's back for that?" I crossed my arms in my chest and nodded slowly.

"Yes, and I will never let that happen" before I flashed a devilish smile.

"Ms. Selveria" Jace called when I enter my office, I raised my one brow and glance at him, I sit on my swivel chair and close my eyes.

"What?"Still close my eyes, I'm having a headache again, D*mn she's stressing me out.

"Your assistant told me that I need to remind you about the papers once you get back" I turned my swivel chair and face him. He smiled at me a bit and avoid my gazes.

I remember what I just told him an hour ago, I felt guilty again but I ignore it because just like what I said he's only my secretary.

"Alright," I let out a heavy sigh when he stands up and puts the papers in front of me.

"Thank you" He smiled at me as an answer that's made me stare at him.

He looks at me directly

"No problem, Ms. Selveria" I didn't look at him and I just glance at the papers I need to sign. I breathe a deep sigh

This is so many...

"Do you need help, Ms? Silveria?" I face him up and I realize that he's still standing in front of me.

"No, thanks. I can do this" He nodded and smiled again before he walks heading to his table. I watch him until he reached his table, He glances at me and smiled.

Weird.

After an hour, Patty knocks on the door

"Get in" I uttered and I put down my pen, finally I'm done. I hold my neck and massage it a bit.

Oh shucks, I guess I'm going to have neck pain.

"Ms. Selveria?" I nodded and gesture to get now the papers. She nodded and smiled at me.

"It's all done" She gets the papers and Jace helps him because it's many. I open my laptop and there I saw a message

I grinned and didn't reply to the message. I know who is it even she didn't introduce herself.

I leaned on my swivel chair and decided to call Angel the b*tch.

"Hmm? Ugh, I'm so wet" My brows furrowed, and glance at the Caller Id again. As if I'm mistaken but I'm not. Her name appeared on the screen.

"Ugh, I'm near-ugh harder" I grinned, the h*ll. I ended the call, still early and yet? Oh gosh, Angelica!

But she answered it, B*tch is teasing me huh?

The door opens and Jace appeared he directly glance at me and smiled before he goes back to his table. He glances at me when I remain looking at him.

"Do you need anything, Ms. Selveria?" I shook my head and he nodded before he faces his laptop and types something there.

My brows furrowed when someone sent me an email, I check it expecting that it's from the company's investor or what.

-Don't hesitate to call for some help, Ms. Selveria. As 'your Secretary' it's my job to help you.

I read in my mind, he even highlighted the word your Secretary. I let out a sigh and glance at him. I realized that He's watching me.

I avoided his gaze and look at the laptop.

"Ms. Selveria?" He called again, he forces a smile when I look at him.

"Yes?"

"I just want to remind you that you have a meeting any minutes from now on" Then he looked at his laptop that made me stop.

Why didn't said it much earlier?D*mn it

I stand up and get my purse because I need to retouch my face. I enter the restroom.

I forgot that the board members called for a meeting.D*mn it.

I glance at the door of the restroom when someone knocked.

"Ms. Selveria, the meeting will start" I annoyingly look at my reflection. Well, I'm still beautiful after all.

"Yes, I will be there" I yelled because I'm inside the restroom. I didn't know if he hears me because this is soundproof.

I made my move faster and open the restroom after. He's leaning on the wall, I raise my brow.

"The meeting is starting now, Ms. Selveria" I glance at him and furrowed my brows.

"It's your fault, You didn't remind me earlier" He tilted his head and force a smile.

"Apology, Ms. Selveria" I rolled my eyes and just walk first, He follows me and opens the door for me.

While I'm walking in the hallway, Some employees are whispering and looking at me.

What is the problem?

"Do I have dirt in my face?" I asked my Secretary who's following me behind. We're now walking in the hallway.

"You don't have, Ms. Selveria" I let out a sigh and just didn't mind them.

"But why they're looking at me?" I whisper at myself in a grumpy tone. He mumbled something but I didn't understand it.

"It's because you're beautiful"

He opens again the door for me and just like I expected they're quiet. I sit on my seat and look at them, I raise a brow.

"Good afternoon-Oh I'm not informed that we have visitors?" I sarcastically uttered and leaned on my seat. She's looking at me while smiling but it looks so plastic.

Duh, She never changed.

"Hello, My dear. How are you?" I chuckles a bit and crossed my arm while looking at her.

A f*cking traitor

"Well...the h*ll is cool. What are you doing here?" I seriously asked and her smile faded. Some board of directors fake a cough. They know our history.

"You don't miss your mom?" She grinned that's why I look at her seriously. She's making me laugh.

"Excuse me? That's kinda disgusting" I mumbled that made her furious. See? Devil will always be a devil.

"Just to remind you, I'm the owner of this company, I have rights here so don't you ever talk to me like that" She stands up while yelling. I remain sitting on the chair and looking at him calmly. I watched her how she's starting to be a devil.

"Excuse me?" I sarcastically asked and looks so disgusted. All of the board members remain quiet and looking at the table.

"I'm the Queen here" She added which made me chuckle and glance at her again.

"Don't you remember? I can sue you out of this company in just one gesture. So don't yell at me." She looks at me annoyingly but can't do anything when she realizes what did I just said.

"Learn to recognize who's the Real Queen" I added that made her stunned before I walk away.
