Hailey's POV:

I glance at him, he's so busy and serious on the laptop. I let out a heavy sigh, Since Morning, he's not yet talking to me. And if he's gonna talk, his maximum words are only ten.

"Ms. Selveria, Mind if you will check it first? before I submit" I pretend as is I didn't hear him, I don't know, I just don't want.

What's happening to him? Tsk.

"Ms. Selveria?" I get some papers in my drawer, I forgot to read them.

This one contains the database of the company. I'm not yet satisfied even we're the number one in ratings, more improvement.

"Ms. Selveria" I dialed a number on the telephone and put it closer to my ear.

"Patty, Don't order me a lunch. I have a lunch date, thank you" I caught him walking near in front of me but I just rolled my eyes. I pick up my phone when it rings.

"Yes?" I answered while I'm eyeing the screen. Still not glancing at him, I don't know why I'm doing this. tsk.

I don't understand myself also.

"Babe.." The man uttered in the other line, My brows furrowed. His voice is kinda familiar-Oh I remember, I smirked sarcastically.

"Babe? Excuse me, who are you?" I asked and He gawks at me, wondering who I am talking with. I rolled my eyes and eyed the screen.

"I'm. We just hang out last night right?" I glance at the man who's still standing in front of me when he called me again.

"Ms. Selveria!" I ended the call and leaned on my swivel chair while glancing at him.

"Don't yell at me, Mr. Sandoval. What do you want?" I crossed my arm, He breathes heavily and stares at me for a minute, He looks away and he just put down the paper on my table, not uttering a word he go back to his table and didn't talk to me again.

"Ms. Selveria" I glance at the door when it opens and Patty appeared. She's holding a bunch of papers that made my shoulder gets down.

"Papers need to approve, Ms. Selveria" I nodded slowly trying to process what it all means. It means I can't go out for lunch.

"I have a late lunch, Patty. Just put it there, I will get back for it later" I calmly uttered but she shook her head and smiled at me a bit. I leaned on my swivel chair

"It needed to be submitted later, Ms. Selveria" I let out a sigh and gesture her to place it on my table. Our room is air-conditioned but why it felt so hot? I felt that he's staring at me and it's just making me uncomfortable.

"I will get back for it later. I have a big Investor to attend to" She nodded slowly and crept a small smile on her face before she leaves the room.

My office filled a long silence again before I stand up to prepare for my lunch date. He's now talking with someone so I didn't bother him anymore. I open the door of the restroom and glance at my reflection.

Ugh! I lip my bite. What's wrong with that man? It making me irritated when he's not giving his attention to me.

I want his full attention on me!-no.

I'm sure, I didn't mean that. Yes-no ugh!

I washed my face to look more refreshing and retouch it, My fierce look.

Wearing a flowing red off-shoulder knee-length satin dress and high heels, Which is from New York City. It's one of their limited stock that worth of million.

I'm expensive so my stuff should also be.

"Can I come?" Someone uttered in my back when I'm about to hold the doorknob. I rolled my eyes and look for who is it.

"What?!" I asked in a grumpy tone. He stands up from his seat and walks near to me. I didn't wait for him to went near to me

"I have a lunch date, What are you talking about?" He looks at my eyes, I avoid his gazes and breathes heavily.

My heart is beating so fast when he's around, And I can't accept that.

No, I won't let that happen again. This is going to be insane.

"And your big investor right?" He raises his brows while he's asking but he can't hide the sarcastic tone of his voice. I glance at him directly and place my right hand on my waist.

"Work, Mr. Sandoval. Don't mind me, I didn't tell you to come" He went closer but I didn't let him, I raised my hand again and he glanced at me annoyingly.

"I'm your Secretary so-"

"You're right. You are only my Secretary" I emphasize the last words that made him stunned. I breathe heavily before I turned my back on him.

I leaned on the driver's seat and close my eyes for a minute, I need to calm myself.

"Why you took so long?" I look at Vera and rolled ny eyes

"Let's say that just something happen-Why you called for your oh-so-called meeting?" She glances at me seriously and breathes heavily.

She avoids my gazes and gestures to the waiter, then he looks at me again.

"She's back, Hailey" She uttered that made me stunned
