"I know" I took a glimpse at the new employee. My brows furrowed when she keep looking at my Secretary.
"Wait, What do you mean?" I stop her from talking and she looks at me wearing a nervous face. Even the board members let out a deep sigh in the middle of a presentation.
This is ridiculous.
I hold my neck and close my eyes.
"I can't approve that" One of the board members, Mrs. Ledezma uttered, finally. The girl tilted her head that made me look away.
The other board members also said their opinion about the presentation.
"It's a big project, Ms. Xerra. Why don't you consult us first before you decided on your own" I emphasize the last four words? It's annoying and a bit disrespectful.
"I'm sorry, I-i didn't know, Ms. Selveria" I look at her Senior directly
"Don't tell me, Mr. Venn didn't let you know about that?" I sarcastically ask about the Senior of Architecture Department.
She tilted her head when Mr. Venn took a glance at her. It just leads me to disappointment. How can Mr. Venn let this pass?
"My apology Ms. Selveria for what she did" He uttered calmly while can't look at me directly. I took a glimpse At the New employee.
"Architect Xterra, Before you chose a design you must send that first to me so I can say if it's approved or not. Just like now, What design you choose is not in our standard. We didn't even know what are you proposing to" She didn't look at anyone in this room because of embarrassment. I breathe heavily while gawking at her.
"You have a meeting with the investors at 2 pm, Ms. Selveria"The conference just got done and we're walking in the hallway going back to the office. Not facing him I continue walking while his following me. I have so many appointments today and it's stressing me out.
"You also have met for your new business partner from LCA group of company this 3:30 pm" He added and open the door for me. I straightly go to my desk and sit on my swivel chair.
I leaned on my seat.
" I already attended three meetings since morning, How many still?"I close my eyes and think about how can I have my free time. I miss going to the bar. The smells of alcoholic beverages, Men perfumes, and many more.
"You still have four meetings, Ms. Selveria" I open my eyes instantly and took a glance at him. He let me see his Ipad that causes my shoulder to get down.
"The two meetings are for your investor from Paris which is at 4 pm and for the British investor settled at 7 pm -because that's the only available time you have, Ms. Selveria" He added. Seriously? Do I still have time to go for a bar-hopping?

"Do you want me to cancel the other meeting, Ms. Selveria?" I stare at him for a minute thinking to consider his opinion.
"No, It's alright" Then I look at him again. Why does it feel like there something different at him today? He nodded and didn't look at me again instead focus on the laptop.
"Ugh!" I sit on my swivel chair with felt so much exhausted. I just done attended the two meetings.
I close my eyes for a minute after I heard his voice.
"Do you want water, Ms. Selveria?" I nodded and glanced at him. Now I realized what is the difference with him today, He's wearing a white long sleeve that made him look more attractive.
Is that the reason why the new employee stares at him? My brows furrowed while watching him getting water.
"What are you wearing?" I arch a brow while drinking the water that he gave to me. I make sure that it's not hot nor cold so I'm not going to mess again.
"Why is it bad? Do you want me to change my clothes?" He anxiously uttered while gawking at me.
"Forget it-By the way, Can you move the meeting to 4 pm? Make it to 5 pm" He followed what I said.
I put the glass on the desk after I saw what time is it. I take a single glance at him and open my laptop.
"You can go home now" I start to type something and open some documents that he sent to me last night. I forgot to check it.
"It's still early, Ms. Selveria" I glance at the clock, and sighs
"Nah, You will prepare for the Seminar remember? You have a trip for tomorrow"
"Well, I can stay a bit " I eyed him and crossed my arms in my chest.
"Just follow what I said. You don't want me to think that you wanted to be with me right?" I teased that made him look away. He's not answering my question. He keeps looking away!
I chuckle and continue typing, I felt that he's trying to organize his things now.
He's 2 days in Batangas for Seminar that's why Patty is my Secretary for tomorrow and the other day.
He's about to left now when I called his name. Wearing my common expression. I glance at him with seriousness is on my face.
"Take Care, I know you can do it"He pulled a wide smile and nodded slowly.
" Take Care too"
"Update me"
"Yes, thank you, Ms. Selveria"
After an hour I stand up to prepare for the dinner meeting. Wearing my black halter dress with a coat on my arm. I get my car keys and purse.
I take a glance at my reflection. With my fierce look, I walk confidently out of the company.
"Good evening, Mr. Merja" I sit in front of him when I got arrived at this fancy restaurant. This is still new but looks good. I look around and I got amazed at this restaurant.
"How you like the restaurant, Ms. Selveria" I smile a bit.

I lie on my bed after I got arrived at my condo. I can't drive myself farther away now to go to the house.
I'm so exhausted. Seven meetings in only one day?Wow.
I'm about to close my eyes when I heard that my phone rings
"Hello?" I instantly answered. I don't mind anymore who called because of my tiredness.
Even my rules.
"Ms. Selveria" I immediately open my eyes after I heard his voice. It feels like I have energy again.
Weird but I just feel it.
"Hmm?" I sit in my bed and wait for him to talk.
"Nothing, Just want to make sure that you got home safe-I mean, As your Secretary, I wanted to make sure that you did the committees" I rolled my eyes. So it's just like that?
"Okay. Don't you know that no one has the right to call me especially when it's night, it's time for myself"I heard his deep breaths on the other line.
" Why? Are you in the bar now?"
"So?" We filled silence before he talks again.
"It's time for your rest, Ms. Selveria" He calmly mumbled
"It's alright. Bye," I ended the call even I don't want to. I don't know but my heart is beating so fast when I'm talking to him.

Ugh! This is insane! What happening to me is insane!
I've many thoughts while watching the ceiling before I dozed to sleep.
I drink my coffee that in the top of my desk. I don't know why I got so early now, I glance at the clock and it's 6 am.
I continue what I'm doing, type and type, and review some papers so I can give them to the seniors.
My brows furrowed and look at the clock again for how many times. Why he's not yet here? Late again
I just shrugged and look at my laptop again until I remember something-oh tsk. I forgot that he's in the Seminar in Batangas.
I felt that my shoulder get down and I lost my energy instantly. It feels like I don't have the energy to move. Thinking that he's not going here

When I heard the door opens I thought it's him but I was wrong, it's Patty.
"You wanted to rest first? Ms. Selveria?You look tired and pale" I find and mirror so I can see what Patty did just said to me.
"No, it's okay" I uttered in monotone. I give tha papers to her and gesture her to give them in the downstairs
"But you don't look okay, Ms. Selveria" I arch my brows. Why she's naughty?
"I said I'm okay, Patty" I even emphasized each word for her to understand me nicely. She nodded slowly and titled her head.
"Sorry, Ms. Selveria" She smiled a bit and close the door. I close my eyes and hold my head.
What the h*ll is this?
I turned my gazes on his table and I saw him, seriously facing the laptop while typing. I chuckle I might be crazy now. Why I am feeling this way?
It feels like I'm so incomplete.
After an hour, the door opens again and I didn't look anymore because I know it's Patty. I continue typing while checking it each.
"Your lunch, Ms. Selveria" I saw Patty organizing the foods on the table. She didn't miss any lunch meal. That's Patty she's always conscious when it comes to health.
"Thanks, Jace-Uh I mean Patty" I bit my lip after she leaves my room. She nodded but her eyes are full of questions. Her face is wondering.
I close my eyes again and breathes deeply. Why does it feel like I want him here? I wanted to see him all the time. I wanted to know what he's doing right now? Or if he is okay there?
Did he already eat lunch? Did he saw many beautiful girls there? Did he found someone attractive?
So strange.
Why I want to hear his voice, I wanted to see his face, his smile. His serious face.
This is crazy.
