Chapter 6 The Two Kids Had A Fight

When Viola heard Ezra call Selina his secretary, she felt extremely uncomfortable. A lump lodged in her throat as she thought about her husband and her ex-best friend spending hours and hours every day together in an office.

Ezra glanced at his watch impatiently and said, "You have one minute left, Selina."

"I'm sorry!"

Selina stepped forward, leaned over, and raised her voice. Then, she turned around and walked away as fast as her injury allowed.

Looking at her receding figure, Ezra smiled coldly.

'Why is she limping like that?

Did she really get hurt?

Whatever! I will make this slutty bitch hurt even more! This is just the beginning!'

With a smug smile, Viola raised her eyebrows and said, "Thank you, Ezra. I love you."

She reached out to her husband, but he shoved her hand away and left.

Watching him walk away without looking back, she clenched her fists.

'Selina, you bitch! This is all because of you!

It's your fault that Ezra's getting colder and colder to me. Whatever your reason for coming back, I won't let you succeed! I will never let you win if it kills me!'

Meanwhile, at the bilingual international kindergarten...

In the school garden, Carol looked smugly at her classmate Richard Lu who was the boy who pushed her mother at the airport. He was being punished for being a bully while waiting for his ride home.

"Richard is so bad, Miss. He bullies his classmates on purpose. When he grows up, he will also bully the old, the weak, the sick, and the disabled. You should teach him a lesson!"

With her hands on her hips, Carol raised the ferule in her hand with a provocative look on her face.

Richard's expression remained gloomy.

She made a face at him.

'What a nuisance!'

When Carol found out that the nuisance was her classmate, she did not want to study in the kindergarten anymore.

But her mother said that it was close to her company and the facilities here were the best. She had no choice but to obey.

She thought that she would just take her revenge while she was stuck with him.

While the teacher's attention was somewhere else, Richard did something unexpectedly.

All of a sudden, he pounced on Carol, scooped some mud from the flower bed with his hand, and threw it on her face.

"Ah!"

Carol screamed, grabbed some mud as well, and threw it on Richard's face. She was not to be outdone.

In an instant, the two five-year-old children were at each other's throats, their faces red and bruised.

Selina was just in time to see her daughter hurling mud at a little boy. She gasped and rushed right over, completely ignoring the barking pain in her ankle.

The headmistress of the kindergarten was also there and immediately apologized, "I'm so sorry, Miss An. It was our negligence that caused the kids to fight."

Selina looked nervously at Carol and then at the boy she was fighting with. After confirming that neither of them were seriously injured, she stared at her little girl and asked seriously, "Why are you two fighting, Carol? Who started it?"

Her daughter glared at the boy and said, "Richard attacked me first! He threw mud on my face!"

Looking at the mud on Richard's face, Selina said, "And did you also attack him?

"Of course I did! If he bullies me, I will definitely bully him back. I'm not a doormat!" Carol said confidently.

Selina really could not understand where her daughter got her temper. She could be really mean when she was provoked, and as a mother, it bugged her that she could not blame her little girl. She sighed and said, "This stops now, okay? Apologize to each other. Classmates shouldn't be fighting like this."

She was so absorbed in figuring out Carol's attitude that she failed to recognize that Richard was the boy they encountered at the airport.

Instead of resolving the matter, her words only riled up the two children. They both crossed their arms across their chests, turned around, and snorted.

The headmistress of the kindergarten interjected, "Miss An, may I speak with you privately?"

"Sure. What about?"

"Richard has autism and is born with great strength. He's unable to control himself when he gets too emotional. He's a bit special, a kid of very few words. I hope you can understand him. I think if it weren't for Carol's deliberate provocation, he wouldn't have done something like this,"

the woman explained.

With a shocked look on her face, Selina prompted, "Carol's deliberate provocation?"

She found it difficult to believe that her daughter would pick a fight with another kid out of spite.

"It seems that they're holding a grudge against each other. The first time Carol saw Richard in class, she shouted that she didn't want to attend the class anymore and that she wanted to transfer to another class."

The headmistress was obviously confused.

Selina was also confused at first, but after looking at Richard carefully and thinking for a while, she suddenly remembered that he was the boy from the airport.

She did not recognize him right away because of all the mud on his face.

But what she did not expect was that when she looked at Richard, she saw Ezra. And speak of the devil, Ezra just walked into the school gate and stared her down coldly.

The headmistress immediately said, "Miss An, this is Mr. Ezra Lu, Richard's father. How about we go to my office, sit down, and have a talk?"

'Richard is indeed Ezra and Viola's son.

No wonder he is so eccentric, ' Selina thought.

In the office of the headmistress...

Selina sat opposite Ezra.

The two kids sat face to face as well, staring at each other. It was obvious that they hated each other's guts.

Sitting in the middle, the headmistress of the kindergarten awkwardly cleared her throat and told Ezra what had happened. "Mr. Lu, this was just a simple misunderstanding between the children, and we can resolve it peacefully by having them apologize to each other. What do you think?"

Ezra was a big shot. He did not talk much and had a bad temper.

Nobody in the school dared to offend him.

Seeing that Ezra kept silent, Selina thought about what happened earlier when he protected Viola unreasonably. She feared that he would senselessly protect his son, too, and make Carol suffer some losses.

She could bear anything that he threw her way, but her daughter was off limits. She would do anything to keep her out of his reach.

She stood up, looked him in the eye, and said, "Mr. Lu, Carol and Richard are both at fault here, and both of them deserve some disciplining. But right now, I think it will be best if we just make them apologize for their wrongdoing. My daughter will apologize first."

Then, she looked at her little girl and cleared her throat.

Unwilling to do as her mother said, Carol whipped her head at Selina and whined, "Mommy, he threw mud on my face first! He started it! Why should I apologize first?"

Selina peered at her daughter carefully and said very gently, "But you provoked Richard first, didn't you? That's why you should apologize first, dear."

The little girl did not say anything more.

Selina patted her little hand and said, "Go ahead."

After a few moments of sulking, Carol finally walked up to Richard and said, "I'm sorry, Richard. I shouldn't have provoked you, but that's not reason enough for you to throw mud on my face. You're a boy. You should be a gentleman so that you can have a girlfriend in the future."

Richard glanced at Selina and then at Carol expressionlessly.

The headmistress cleared her throat and gestured for Ezra to say something.

But he did not budge. He did not even move a facial muscle. It made Selina regret her decision to make her daughter apologize first. He hated her so much that it was possible that he hated Carol, too.

After all, in his eyes, her daughter was a bastard.

While she was thinking about this, somebody knocked on the door of the headmistress's office. Then, the door swung open, and a deep, gentle voice rang in the room. It was Moses. "Selina, I'm here. What happened?"

When she turned around, she saw that Carol was already running to her dear friend's arms. "Oh, Uncle Moses! I'm so happy to see you! Are you here to pick us up?"

Moses scooped Carol into his arms, lifter her up, and said, "I'm so happy to see you, too, my little princess. Sorry I've been busy the past few days, but I'm here now. What happened to you?" As he spoke, he walked up to Selina and looked at the man and the child sitting opposite her.

When Ezra saw the interaction between Moses and Carol, his face grew gloomier and gloomier.
