Chapter 9 Coco Came Out Strong

"I will avenge the death of my men!" The man growled.

However, there was not a trace of fear in Coco's eyes. She remained still.

"All right. Pull the trigger and kill me right away."

The kidnapper was taken aback. "What? Aren't you afraid?"

"Your hands are shaking! Steady your wrists."

The agent looked equally stunned. Anyone who had a gun pressed against their head would freak out, but the woman looked strangely calm. Just as the kidnapper adjusted his stance, Coco punched him with her elbow.

The man winced in pain. She spun around and kicked him on his head before grappling the gun.

Coco pressed the cold metal against his forehead and glared at him. "Do you want me to pull the trigger? The bullet will go right through your head and rip your brain apart. You will die without any pain. Do you want me to give it a go?"

She pressed the gun harder against his forehead, making the kidnapper tremble. He didn't expect that one of the hostages would take him down.

The bloodthirsty grin on Coco's face sent a shiver down the man's spine. "You are... You are..." The kidnapper's eyes widened as realization crossed his face.

"Blood-red Rose!" He roared, staring at Coco in disbelief.

The man heard that the woman had disappeared without leaving a trace.

A frown lined Coco's forehead as she heard the man's words. 'What is Blood-red Rose?'

The agents used the opportunity and surrounded the kidnapper. The man continued to stare at her in disbelief. "Blood-red Rose? What is she doing here?" he mumbled as the police continued to drag him away.

Coco stared at him quizzically before looking at her bloodstained hands. The stench of blood made her sick. She ran to the sink and washed her hands.

The cops eyed Coco with suspicion. The woman looked eerily calm despite holding the gun. Her stance and fighting skills revealed that she had undergone intensive training.

Coco jumped and let out a piercing scream. The policemen instantly gathered around her to see what was going on.

"There is a cockroach near the sink!"

She frowned, pointing at the wall.

The cops looked at each other incredulously.

The woman had bravely fought with an armed abductor. How could she be afraid of a cockroach?

The woman's behavior frightened everyone, for they couldn't understand her true self.

The reporters from radio and TV stations had surrounded the place. The hostages held each other, celebrating their survival from the unexpected disaster.

Coco anxiously peered through the crowd for her little boy. Her heart sank when she couldn't find him anywhere.

"Mommy!"

Coco spun on her heels. She saw a handsome agent holding her son in his arms. Carl grinned at her with two ice-creams in his hand.

"Carl!" Coco grabbed her little boy and swept him into a tight embrace. Her heart swelled with emotions as she didn't want to let go of him.

"Mommy, this uncle got me ice-cream. This one is for you." He gave her the ice cream and nestled his head against her neck.

"Mommy, I was afraid of losing you." Although Carl was a brave boy, he couldn't stop worrying about his mother.

"I'm fine, Carl. Stop worrying." Coco choked with sobs as the little boy trembled in her arms.

"Mommy, you are lazy and stupid. You always miss your deadline. You can't cook or do household work." Carl pursed his lips to think before continuing, "Oh, you know nothing about computers and you are a terrible driver.''

Coco smacked the boy's head in reprimand. "Ouch! Why did you hit me?"

The agent watched their conversation with a broad grin. Both of them were adorable.

"Mommy, wait till I finish. I wanted to say that I love you despite all your flaws. I don't want to leave you." Carl pouted. He had been waiting outside for a long time, and the ice creams in his hand had almost melted.

Despite the alarming situation, Carl believed that his mother would come out safely.

The agent's heart melted into a puddle.

He wiped his tears and smiled.

However, the smile on his face was replaced with disgust when he saw the little boy wiping his dirty hand on his mother's dress. Coco sniffed loudly and rubbed her runny nose against her son's shirt.
