Chapter 1 The CEO's Miniature Version

"Wow, this boy is incredible!"

"He moves so fast, and every attack is so powerful! He seems exceedingly talented!"

Excited voices echoed from the executive assistants' office on the sixtieth floor of the Qi Group's headquarters in the United States. Inside the room, a gaggle of elite-looking people dressed in business suits crowded over something on a monitor.

Although they had a horrible boss who mercilessly pressured them every day, they didn't seem very busy right now. In fact, they were all gathered around the computer as they watched a video from an e-sports competition.

Their faces were filled with awe, obviously preoccupied with what they were doing. They completely missed the arrival of their CEO, who was already standing behind them with a sullen expression before they even noticed his presence.

"Why are you gathered like this, watching a movie during working hours? Do you not have work to do?"

As soon as the CEO's icy voice sounded behind them, the people gathered in front of the computer hastily sprang up and dispersed, running in all directions like headless chickens.

Abandoned alone on the cursed workstation was Mike Wu, the CEO's assistant. His feet were itching to run away, but the CEO's frosty glare indicated that if he stepped out that door, he would never be able to come back again. Thus, he had no choice but to stay.

"Mike, can you remind me how long we have been working together?" asked the CEO in monotone, his face utterly expressionless.

His young assistant paled thoroughly after being addressed, and the glasses he was wearing were shrouded in steam from his panting breaths. If the workaholic CEO found that he was slacking off during working hours, he could kiss his job in the Qi Group goodbye!

"It's been three years, sir. I-I just..." Mike wanted to burst into tears, and his heart seemed like it would jump out of his throat. 'Please, don't look at me like that. This is so scary!'

"So you have been working with me for three years, but you don't know that what I hate the most are those who slack off at work? Well then, go and pack up because I'm sending you to our branch in South Africa tomorrow!" the man announced coldly. "Sir, I wasn't slacking off. It's just-this little boy looks like you very much..."

The assistant quickly rotated the screen so that the CEO could see the video better.

At first, it seemed like the other man would dismiss the video as a waste of his time. However, a sudden change took over his charming face as soon as his brain processed what his eyes were seeing.

Mike noticed the subtle change of the CEO's expression, so he hastily explained as he wiped the cold sweat on his forehead, "This video is an excerpt from the final round of the world e-sports competition. This boy is so talented! He was able to represent the Asian division at four years old, and he even reached the finals. He caught my attention earlier because he resembles you very much, sir."

The truth was that Mike, who loved playing video games, had gathered a crowd to watch the live broadcast of the e-sports contest. The four-year-old boy was this year's most popular player.

At that moment, he was sitting on a high chair as his fingers danced over the keyboard at lightning speed. His intelligence peered through his big doe eyes, which were fixed on the screen with a laser focus.

It was the final round already, and even though the competition was still ongoing, it seemed like the results had already been decided. The little boy emanated confidence as if he was already sure that he would win.

The CEO studied the young boy's face and found that Mike was telling the truth. The boy did look exactly like him. His little face had the same features, albeit less fierce and cold, and more childish.

Cold sweat continued to break out on Mike's forehead as he saw the fearsome expression on his boss's face. He was afraid that not only was he going to be fired, but he would also get killed on the spot!

"What's the brat's name?"

"Carl Luo, sir."

The CEO's brows jumped up along with his curiosity. 'Luo? Isn't it her surname?'

"All right, I'm giving you another chance. You have five minutes to find out all you can about that brat and his mother. If you fail, I will send you to South Africa and feed you to the lions!"

Hearing this, Mike leaned back on his chair, wiped the cold sweat off his forehead, and breathed a sigh of relief.

Mike considered himself an elite since not everyone could work in the Qi Group, one of the top ten financial groups in the world. However, every time the CEO glared at him with those murderous eyes, he couldn't help acting like a damn newbie.

With the CEO's menacing eyes fresh in his mind, Mike dared not slack off. It only took him a few minutes before the requested documents were printed and placed neatly on the CEO's desk.

"Hmn..." The man narrowed his eyes at the documents, picked them up, and scanned through them from cover to cover. Finally, he checked the photo attached to the documents.

A sweet, angelic smile brightened a young woman's delicate face. She appeared as pure and lovely as a junior high school student, although the documents revealed that she was already twenty-four years old.

The CEO seemed to recognize her, as a touch of tenderness flashed in his sharp eyes, but it was quickly replaced by indifference. He looked at the photo several times, turning the page restlessly. The next photo showed a little boy who looked very similar to him, except for the youthful and mischievous expression he was sporting.

Even though the CEO was studying the documents with an intense look, his fingers were gentle as he subconsciously touched the mischievous boy's face. 'He is only four years old, but he can already use the computer so well. He can even compete against professional players much older than him. It seems that he has inherited my talent.'

"Mike!"

"Yes, sir!" Mike immediately appeared before him, shoulders tensed and hunched as if readying himself for a beating.

The Qi Group's chief assistant was one of the pioneers of the company, but even he would not dare to act rashly against the CEO.

Their company started in the aviation industry, and it soon spread its influence all over the world. It gradually expanded to the fields of new-age technology, finance, real estate, and so on. Ryan Qi, the current CEO of the Qi Group, was an exceedingly powerful man. Even his minor decision could affect the entire American economy.

"I want you to send someone to keep an eye on this woman. Update me if anything happens."

"Yes, sir!" replied Mike immediately. After a short pause, he hesitantly asked, "Shall we bring him back, sir? Or shall we report to your mother?"

As smart as Mike was, he had already guessed that the boy must have a special relationship with the CEO, seeing as the child resembled him so closely. Thus, Mike figured that this was an important issue, possibly important enough to notify the CEO's mother.

Ryan glanced at him with an icy expression and asked, "Are you my assistant or my mother's assistant?"

Of course, Mike didn't dare say anything more to this and left with a dejected look.

Now that he was alone, Ryan let his mind wander. He picked up the lighter and lit up the documents one after another with a poker face. Under the light of the fire, his handsome face looked cold as ice.

'Damn it! How dare she give birth to a baby secretly? When did she get pregnant? I can't believe I didn't know anything about it!

Now, my child is named Luo instead of Qi! How dare she make such a ridiculous decision?'

At this point, all the documents had turned into ashes except for the last two photos. Ryan hesitated for a moment, squeezed the lighter tightly in his palm, and then gave up.

In the end, he opened a random drawer and threw the photos inside. The faces of the mother and son stared back at him before he shut the drawer with a definitive click.

Chapter 2 I Want Daddy

The time difference between the city and America was only a few hours.

It was already midnight here and the full moon was shining brightly.

Most of the lights in the city were already off and the busy streets were empty and quiet. But in one room of a residential building located in the urban district, a faint light was still shining.

In the room, Coco Luo was sitting before a computer. She was typing on the keyboard as if there was something chasing her thoughts.

"How can I possibly achieve a balance between sleep and my readers? When my hair is touching my waist someday, can I stop writing new chapters for the novel?"

As soon as she pressed the enter key, the signature on the personal home page on her screen instantly changed.

Coco Luo, a twenty-four-year-old woman, was a writer of romance novels on a renowned website. Her novels were well-known because of their campy and heart-tormenting plots. Her stories were especially popular and welcomed both by the youth and the depressed housewives.

The food she loved most was ice cream, and the person she loved and adored most was her loving son. As for what she feared most...

Her phone suddenly rang, making her come back to reality. When she looked at the caller's name, she immediately shrugged. This was what she feared most --- the editor urging her to hand in her manuscripts!

She pressed the answer key and held the microphone far away from her face. The voice of Lay-lay, her ruthless editor, was very loud and dominant.

"Coco Luo! What did I just read? What do you mean by your signature? Explain it to me!"

"Come on, don't be so serious..." Coco grabbed her mouse and slid it, not taking her eyes off the soap opera she was watching on another website.

"You deliberately want to delay the manuscripts, don't you?"

Coco hissed as she closed her eyes and took a long deep breath. 'Why is my editor so smart that she can see through my real thoughts at once?'

"Coco, think about your fans who are expecting for new chapters from you. Think about me, your poor editor... Do you really have the heart to let us down? I know you're not that type of person."

"Okay, okay. Alright, fine." Coco blankly stared at the popup at the bottom of her screen. It was an advertisement from the website.

A beautiful woman, who was scantily clad, was doing all kinds of suggestive movements. She twisted back and forth as if she had hemorrhoids. If someone took the bait and clicked on the popup, the computer would suffer from all sorts of virus and advertisements would pop up nonstop.

The popup advertisement was so powerful that she didn't dare to close it. She just watched the woman inside wiggle seductively back and forth.

The computer went down because of the virus due to her carelessness last time. Tens of thousands of words in it were completely lost. But thanks to her baby boy, her files were successfully recovered. Her son repaired her computer and found her manuscripts. Although he was only four years old, he was a computer genius. Just a few days ago, he won the championship of an e-sports competition.

"You have failed to update the new chapters on time twice this month. If you continue to do that, the readers will angrily protest. Last time, you asked for a leave, and it caused the delay of the update. Your excuse then was you were trapped in the bathroom because you didn't bring any tissue with you. This time, you won't say that you have diarrhea and can't update on time again, will you?"

'What? She's really incredible. How does she know that I was going to use that excuse?'

Being caught already, Coco could just laugh awkwardly.

"Boss, in fact, I do have a bellyache right now..."

"You do realize that I don't really care if you have diarrhea, constipation, toothache, appendicitis or anything else. I want to see the new chapters by tomorrow!" The person on the other end of the phone was already going crazy. It was an editor's worst nightmare to work with such a bad author!

Coco muted the computer and began to watch the soap opera. She put the phone on the table with the speaker on.

"Coco, Coco Luo! Are you still there? Did you hear what I just said?"

"Yes, yes. I understood you perfectly." 'Well, it really is a dramatic plot. The hero is terminally ill, and the heroine is always crying hysterically. I will write this plot in my novel later. Young girls would surely be touched!'

"Coco, just think about your lovely son. If you don't work hard to write these novels, how can you possibly afford the powdered milk for him?"

Lay-lay probably knew that her endless roaring was useless to the cheeky woman who was so used to procrastination, so she decided to adopt a softer and more sensitive approach.

"Ah, he doesn't drink powdered milk. He only drinks cola." She remembered that he drank four bottles of cola for dinner and that he said that he was incredibly sad and wanted to drown his sorrows in cola.

Coco pressed the pause button on the soap opera she was watching. The crying face of the heroine on the screen twisted and looked a little ferocious.

Coco stared at the screen as a cute face popped up in her mind. When she remembered her son, she couldn't help but smile.

Meanwhile, the editor on the other end of the phone was still urging her to write new chapters. Coco then folded a piece of paper in half and rubbed it to the microphone back and forth. "Boss! Are you still there? My signal is very bad. What did you just say? I can't hear you! Let's just talk next time! Bye!"

She hung up the phone decisively and turned it off. She didn't want to be bothered anymore tonight.

Looking at the twisted crying face of the heroine on the screen, and the wiggling woman in the popup advertisement, Coco sighed ever so deeply.

'I wonder why life is so difficult.

Selling one's charms or writing novels is not that difficult to do if you're doing it for the money.

Compared with the scantily clad woman who is wiggling her body in the advertisement, writing is bearable. In order to raise my son, I must work hard and earn more money!'

In the room next to hers, a lovely child with a chubby face was standing in front of the bed. The child had a serious look on his face as he looked at the wet bedsheet.

As a genius, Carl was suspicious of the wet mark on his sheets. He was intently thinking about other reasons why it was wet, but the true reason was quite obvious.

'Did I really wet my bed?'

Recalling that he gulped down four bottles of cola in one breath during dinner, he had to painfully accept this fact.

Although he could easily win the e-sports championship, such a cruel thing like wetting the bed was inevitable for a four-year-old child...

The naked boy stealthily removed the bed sheet with cartoon patterns. He carried the "evidence of the crime" all the way to the bathroom and threw it into the washing machine. He knew that his mommy was careless, and they hired hourly workers to do this kind of housework.

Meanwhile, Coco was trying her best to write a new chapter. She was feeling drained already, so she stood up to get some water.

She saw her pretty son sitting on the sofa with his bare buttocks and his two fat feet facing each other. She noticed that there was a sad look on his chubby face. 'He is such a cute boy!'

"Carl, baby, what's wrong?"

The little boy suddenly said seriously, "Mommy, I want to see Daddy."

He carefully reflected on the matter that had injured his self-esteem and came to an important conclusion. It was not his fault at all. It was because he didn't have Daddy!

Earlier that day, he talked with his friends in the kindergarten about the sad topic of taking a bath with their own daddy. Because of that, he drank a few more bottles of cola to dispel his sadness, which caused the tragedy of the gifted little boy wetting his bed!

"It's time for you to get rid of that bad habit of drinking soda. Wait, what? Who do you want to see? Iron Man, Transformers, or Tinker Bell?"

"I want to see Daddy," he held his meaty feet and said seriously, looking gloomy and down. 'I want Daddy so that I won't wet the bed anymore.

But I have no idea who my daddy is!'

Chapter 3 Mommy Lost Her Memory

When Coco found out that she was pregnant, she had carefully considered what she would say to her child once he came of age and would want to know who and where his father was.

Thus, she had prepared three explanations.

First, she thought to tell him that his father was an arrogant and domineering businessman that had been obsessed with her. However, when he found out that she was pregnant, he tried to force her to abort the baby, and that was why she ran away to a distant place.

Second, she would claim that the father was dead. She could even choose from a variety of reasons-car accident, cancer, or even the black plague. The point of the story was that the father was dead, but she was strong enough to raise a child by herself.

Third, she also considered telling her son that he was actually a test tube baby, and she didn't know who his father was.

These dramatic answers were effective every time they were used in romance novels and dramas. However, when the time came, she found herself at a loss. She rejected all the explanations she had prepared one by one, as her determination collapsed in the face of the boy's pure and innocent eyes.

How could she lie to her child?

After careful consideration, Coco decided to tell the truth, even if the truth would sound more outlandish than those three explanations.

"Carl, the truth is that I also want to find your biological father, but unfortunately, I have no idea who he is. I don't even know whether it is a man, a woman, or even nonhuman."

Hearing his mother's words, Carl bit his bottom lip in frustration. "Mommy, you can't have children with a woman, and more importantly, with a 'non-human' person! Please don't avoid my question and answer me directly," he pleaded with his mother.

Coco could only sigh, as her young child got to the core of the problem in such a short time. She was glad that her son didn't inherit her lack of wit and intelligence.

Unfortunately, her son was also tenacious, as evidenced by the way he stared at her unwaveringly, patiently waiting for an answer. Coco gritted her teeth before she spoke.

"All right. Let me tell you the truth then. I have no memory of the entire time before you were in my belly."

Finally, she said it. She wouldn't blame Carl if he didn't believe her immediately, because even as a romance novel writer, she had to admit that memory loss was such a ridiculous explanation.

However, it was also the truth.

At that time, Coco had woken up on a small wooden bed with no recollection of her past. Compared with not remembering who she was, the bigger trouble was that there was a child of unknown origin in her belly.

A doctor with greasy bangs had examined her and found that she had a congenital uterine malformation. It meant that if she had the baby aborted, she would never be able to conceive again. The chance to be a mother would have been taken away from her.

That day, Coco tossed a coin and made the most difficult decision in her life. She would give birth to this child.

Although she had wailed and screamed for a day and two nights in the delivery room because of the difficult labor, she was lucky to have such a handsome son.

Now that Carl heard the real version of the story, he fell silent, and his chubby face turned slack and thoughtful. Coco suddenly felt sorry for him.

After all, he was still a child. Although he had an extraordinarily high IQ, there was no guarantee that he would understand the complications of real life. Wasn't it cruel to tell him these things at such a tender age?

"It's okay, Mommy. I'm living a good life. You're enough for me," said the little boy with a firm nod.

Coco let out a sharp gasp, as she was moved to tears, and she threw her arms around her sensible little boy.

She had never felt so satisfied and content before that moment.

'Mommy can be so stupid sometimes. Anyway, I'd better stop asking more questions, so she would stop crying and wetting her clothes.'

The little boy sweetly curled up closer to his mother's chest. It didn't matter if his mother had lost her memory. He was, after all, gifted with an extraordinary affinity with computers. He could find his father himself!

Meanwhile, it didn't make much of a difference to Coco if Carl's father was alive or dead.

As long as he didn't come to take her son away, she didn't care who he was!

At the same time, the man they were talking about was surrounded by a pile of documents. In the comfortable temperatures of his luxury office, he felt a sudden chill crawl on his back as a sneeze escaped his lips.

That weekend, Coco spent her afternoon working. She had racked her brains non-stop until she finally finished the week's last update. In this part of her story, the hero had forced the heroine to have an abortion, and the heroine lay on the operating table with tears. The comment section was filled with complaints and flames!

However, she merely brushed off the readers' complaints like they were nothing and turned off the computer with a relieved sigh. She then took her son out for a drive towards the city center, driving at a snail's pace.

"Mommy, hurry up! Don't mistake the brake for the accelerator. The guy behind us has been honking in complaint!"

Carl's remarks grated at Coco's nerves. She sat tensely in the driver's seat, the steering wheel clenched tightly in her trembling hands. As a new driver, she was under great pressure!

However, the little boy beside her kept on pestering her. "Mommy, how did you get a driver's license when you drive like this? Did you really take the driving test?"

Coco stared at him blankly and replied, "Son, although we are very rich, I would not dare to buy a driver's license. I could hurt myself and others if I did that!"

"Really? Do you dare to use that money?" 'Don't try to fool me just because I am a kid!' thought Carl rebelliously in the privacy of his mind.

......

'Why do I have such a smart son?!' Coco lamented in her mind, as she didn't know how to answer his question.

Of course, she was indeed rich. When she woke up, the first thing she found beside her ID card was a stack of cash and a bank card. She had checked how much money the account had and found a hundred million dollars in it.

However, she never touched that money because she was afraid the person who gave her the card would cause trouble for her, or worse, he could take her son!

"Don't underestimate my ability to make money. Writing is very profitable, you know!" She finally answered just as their car came to a stop. They had finally arrived at their destination.

"Well, since you have a lot of money, can we eat there?" The little cherub pointed at a restaurant with a golden sign outside.

A gigantic poster displayed a picture of the Tycoon Seafood's Big Mac.

Coco was speechless for a moment. Her son just pointed at the most expensive seafood restaurant in the area. A single dish in that place would cost her half a month's salary!

Thinking fast, she lightly tapped her son's finger so that it would turn the other way. "Son, I think this might be more suitable for you!"

It was a buffet that offered free drinks. There, they could eat as much as they could at the cost of only one hundred dollars.
