Chapter 9 An Ordinary Couple

Later, Caroline asked Ted what he had shown Mae that had sparked her temper all of a sudden. Ted told her that it was surveillance videos of Blake and his new girlfriend holding hands and kissing in public.

Caroline nodded slowly. "It turns out May's mental endurance is low. Otherwise, she would not have directly gone to hit that girl."

As she spoke, she couldn't help but recall her previous life. Even though Edwin had treated her coldly, he had never had affairs with other women, which made her feel at ease.

Caroline was speechless.

At last, she had no choice but to help her mother trim the celery. Her mother was kneading the dough while her father was chopping the meat. It was a heartwarming scene.

In her previous life, Caroline had always thought that her parents were so ordinary that it would be almost impossible to find them if they were thrown into a crowd. Caroline grabbed her mother's hand and said, "Mom, I don't want to see it. I have class tomorrow morning. Can you tell me more about your classmate's family?"
