Chapter 4 An Hourglass Figure

For Caroline, there were many things that had changed after her rebirth. For example, she had been the referee for the badminton competition. She had registered for the swimming competition through the president of the student union. Moreover, Mae had broken up with Blake, and now treated her like a doormat for no reason. But there were still some things that hadn't changed.

The first person Caroline thought of was Edwin.

"Who did you invite to be the judges?" she asked tentatively, looking at Ted.

"You already know most of them. I invited two teachers, and several excellent debaters," he replied.

Caroline tried her best to recall her memories and realized that Ted had said something similar to this in her previous life. As far as she remembered, Edwin had never taken part in a debate competition, nor was he known as an excellent debater. So why had he appeared in the jury? She wondered if Edwin would be a judge this time.

The thought of his eyes made her heart tremble. Although she didn't hate Edwin or think that the tragedy in her previous life had been caused by him, she didn't want to see him for the time being.

"Well...I have a question. Why should I go to watch the debate competition? I don't have to go, right?" she asked casually.

"You have to! The leader of our etiquette team sprained her ankle. Where else will we find another etiquette leader in such a short time?" Ted explained hurriedly.

The first thought that flashed through Caroline's mind was, 'God, what's going on here?'

Caroline had a good figure, so when she had entered the university, she had been personally recruited by the leader of the etiquette team. After that, she had undergone formal training for a while. That was why she had managed to become a member of the recreation department of the student union, and finally the leader of the department.

During her three years in the student union, Caroline often went to other universities to guide their etiquette teams. Even the current leader of the etiquette team of the medical university had learned from Caroline. Therefore, when Caroline entered the backstage area of the auditorium of the medical university, several members of the etiquette team who were familiar with her were relieved to see her.

The backstage area looked like a simple office that could accommodate dozens of people working there. In her previous life, Caroline had often gone to the backstage area of the auditoriums of these three universities, so she was very familiar with this place.

A few of the girls standing there who didn't know Caroline's identity had learned from the other students that she was the famous trainer of the etiquette teams among the three universities. The leader of the etiquette team, who had sprained her ankle, briefed Caroline about their procedure while sitting on a chair. Taking a seat opposite her, Caroline listened carefully. In fact, she was experienced. She had attended a lot of big events in the past, including the award ceremony of a TV station, so it was not difficult for her to deal with a last-minute emergency like this. The only problem right now was that the tray that was supposed to be used during the award ceremony had bent out of shape when the leader of the etiquette team had fallen down. "What should we do?" the leader asked worriedly with a frown. "All the three principals will attend this event today, and our principal is going to award the prize to the winning team. It will be an embarrassment for him and our university if there's no tray! It's all my fault. I screwed it up!"

Caroline looked at the crumpled golden metal tray and said, "This tray is about the same size as the plastic tray in our canteen, isn't it?"

Ted frowned. "But we can't award the prize with the plastic tray in the canteen, can we? More than a thousand students and a dozen distinguished leaders of these three universities will be in attendance today. Everyone knows how the tray in the canteen of your university looks. As soon as that tray is taken out, it will be a mood killer! The debate competition is a serious competition, right?"

Caroline stayed silent for a moment. She honestly didn't think that it was a big deal.

She heaved a sigh and finally said, "If I remember correctly, there are rolls of red velvet cloth in the warehouse of the finance and economics university. They are used to cover the tables in other events."

"I'm on it!" Ted shouted and disappeared from the scene at lightning speed.

"Can't you stand up?" Caroline asked the leader, tilting her head in pity.

"Caroline, I'm sorry. I have to leave it to you today!" The leader put a pair of white high-heeled shoes, which were seven centimeters high, into Caroline's hands.

In fact, Caroline found these shoes familiar.

She remembered that in her previous life, the leader had suddenly fallen down while walking off the stage after the award ceremony. At that time, she had been wearing this same pair of shoes. Back then, Caroline had been worried about her and immediately sent her to the hospital. As for the shoes, they had been completely damaged. The situation was so similar and yet so different. This time, Caroline would be the one wearing these shoes. She decided to be extra careful.

Fortunately, the clothes wouldn't be a problem. Her figure was almost the same as that of the leader of the etiquette team. She went to the bathroom and changed her clothes there. With her hourglass figure, she could pull off any outfit better than most girls. Meanwhile, Ted was walking back with the tray from the canteen and a piece of red velvet cloth. He tried covering the tray with the cloth and flashed a satisfied smile. No one would be able to find out that this tray was actually from the canteen of the normal university! When he saw Caroline, however, he stopped in his tracks, and his eyes almost popped out.

"Caroline, you... you have an hourglass figure. You look drop-dead gorgeous!" he exclaimed in awe.

Caroline raised her eyes in mock arrogance and nodded. "Of course, I know."

Everyone smiled when they heard this.

Caroline's words revealed her confidence. And how could she not be confident with a figure like that?

A moment later, Ted's shoulders drooped, as if he had just realized something. "What about your hair? Why did you get a haircut? There's no time to find a wig."

"Go to the hair salon nearby and buy a whole bottle of hair gel. And I need a lot of bobby pins," Caroline said calmly.

Half an hour later, Caroline's short hair was fixed in place. Not a strand of hair strayed from her scalp. She then picked up a hair pin with a net pocket, which girls with long hair could use to tuck their hair bun into. Caroline knew she had to give the illusion of having long hair, so she found a black cloth and kneaded it into a ball. Then, she fixed the cloth onto the back of her head using many bobby pins, making it look like a real bun. Now, no one would be able to tell that Caroline didn't really have long hair.

Upon seeing this, Ted and the members of the etiquette team couldn't help but give a thumbs up to Caroline. This girl was like superwoman. She could do anything! Of course, Caroline didn't think of it as such a big deal. As a woman who was living her second life, how could she let herself be worried over such trifles?

Soon, everything was ready. The etiquette team was eagerly waiting for the opening ceremony of the debate competition.

Ted's main task tonight was to guard the seats of the judges. Otherwise, the students would try to sit in the judges' seats. He also had to provide the information of the two teams in the final tonight to the judges, so as soon as Caroline and the other girls were ready, he left.

Caroline quietly stuck out her head from behind the curtain and peeked at the auditorium. Several teachers had already taken their seats on the jury. The auditorium of the medical university was the best among the three universities. After all, the medical university had the most funds.
