Chapter 9 Take Wedding Photos

Janiya knew that this time Jedidiah was really furious. She grabbed his arm like a spoiled child. "Dad, I'm sorry that I didn't tell you before I signed the contract. But we really love each other. I know it has been only a few days, but he is a great man. He must have met your expectations, or else you wouldn't have shown me his picture. You know that he is a good man. Dad, please don't be angry and break this relationship."

Jedidiah could never refuse Janiya, when she pleaded with him in a sweet voice. He always felt that he owed her. So, whenever she asked for anything, he would try his level best to fulfill it. And this time was no exception. "Niya, since you've already made up your mind, I will support you. But you must think this through. Marriage is not a game or a hobby. Once you get married, there will be many unexpected and unforeseen circumstances."

Janiya didn't expect her father to give in so easily. Her eyes welled up with tears. She hugged him and said in a choked voice, "Thank you, Dad. Don't worry, I will try to seize my happiness."

'Yes, ' Janiya thought to herself, 'for dad and my family, I must try my best to seize my happiness. Aden is just a passerby in this journey of my life. During and after the engagement, I must be the best and happiest Janiya.'

Jayla who was leaning against the door of the study, heard the conversation between Janiya and Jedidiah. A gleam of jealousy flashed in her eyes. 'Janiya, I don't know what happened, but I find it hard to believe that Aden would leave his girlfriend and fall in love with you in just a few days. I will figure out everything and leave you no chance to get your happiness.'

Jedidiah accepted the fact that Janiya and Aden had signed the marriage contract, but he was still cautious about the marriage.

Once Mason saw the report, he smiled and picked up the phone to call Jedidiah. He invited him to discuss the wedding preparations of Aden and Janiya.

Since Jedidiah and Mason were both business tycoons, they naturally wanted their children's wedding to be grand.

Although Aden was not keen on having any kind of wedding, neither grand nor small, he had to accept it, in order to save Gianna.

After Janiya heard of the wedding plans, she didn't say anything. Every girl dreamt of a romantic and sacred wedding, since the time they were young girls. Janiya was no exception. But her dream was shattered, the moment she signed the marriage contract.

She had no expectations from this wedding, nor could she stop it.

The only good thing that came out of this, was that her mother was absolutely fine. Though she didn't return to her previous hospital, she practically called Janiya every day. Janiya was relieved, that her mother was happy and well cared for. For that she was grateful to Aden.

She wanted to get back on track, with regards to her travel plans. So she packed her bag and was about to leave, when she got a call from Aden, who said that he was waiting outside for her.

Janiya looked at her backpack on the bed and then looked at herself in the mirror. She decided that she wouldn't change. She picked up her backpack, straightened her shoulders and walked out.

Aden was casually leaning against the door of his car, in front of Janiya's house. When he saw Janiya, he gave her a surprised look.

Today's Janiya was different from what Aden had seen before. She looked pretty young in grey and white sportswear and a pair of white sneakers, with her long, beautiful hair tied into a ponytail.

Aden had known that Janiya was beautiful. Her delicate facial features were enhanced with her dimples, which could rise the desire from men to protect and conquer her. But today, Janiya looked different.

She looked like a young college student, with dreams of the future in her bright eyes. What was more, she was pure but not childish, simple but not stupid, with an angelic face and a sexy body.

If Aden hadn't been with Gianna, he would have definitely thought of being in a relationship with Janiya. After all, Janiya was in good shape. She was good-looking, gentle, elegant, well-educated and had a powerful family. At the same time, she was kind and caring.

Anyone could see that she was a suitable wife for a businessman. If Aden married her, he could focus on his company, without having to worry about his family. Unfortunately, he was with Gianna.

"Mr. Morrison, what can I do for you?" Janiya hated Aden for dangling her mother's heart ailment over her head to get what he wanted. But since she had to live with him under the same roof for a year, she decided to keep aside her prejudices. She hoped that they could live in peace and respect each other.

"We have to take the wedding photos today." Aden didn't beat around the bush, but his words sounded more like an order, than a request.

Janiya sighed and refused in a cold voice, "There's no need for that. Anyway we are only pretending."

Seeing that Janiya didn't care about it, made Aden feel a bit dejected. The reason he agreed to get the wedding photos done was for her benefit, but she looked reluctant. There was bitterness in his voice when he spoke.

"We have to convince our respective fathers that we are serious and this marriage is not a sham. I don't care whether we do the photo-shoot or not. But, if you're not worried that your father would suspect, then forget it." After saying that, Aden opened the car door, got into the car and started the engine.

Seeing that Aden was about to drive off, Janiya quickly walked to the passenger side and got in. It was true that she didn't care, but her father Jedidiah, who loved her would definitely care about these wedding photos, so she had to do it.

When they arrived at the wedding dress shop belonging to the Glory Group, the saleslady had already kept everything ready. When she saw Aden in a suit and Janiya in sportswear, she was a little surprised. But she was a professional, so she quickly smiled and picked up the latest wedding dress for Janiya.

Janiya glanced at the dress. It was a beautiful ball gown with a lot of layers and lace. She would definitely look like a princess in it, but it was not her style.

But it didn't matter. Since she wasn't marrying the man she loved, it didn't matter what kind of wedding photos she took or what kind of wedding dress she wore.

Aden was seated in the sitting area outside the fitting room. He was waiting for Janiya to put on the wedding gown.

When the door of the fitting room opened, Aden looked up at Janiya and froze.

Janiya was tall and slender. She looked even more lovely and beautiful in this pure white wedding dress with lace at the bottom. She looked like a princess from a fairytale.

Aden had seen Janiya in party wear, casual attire, formal wear and latest was the sportswear she wore today. But it was the first time he had seen her dressed in a ball gown.

Now he was curious to know, how charming she would look in an elegant evening wear. He knew Janiya's figure well. Although she looked very thin, she had a great figure. She was the type of woman that every man dreamed of.

Sensing Aden's gaze, Janiya blushed and looked away. Anyway, a wedding dress meant a lot for women.

Realizing that he was staring at her, Aden cleared his throat and stood up to go outside.

Janiya walked quietly behind him. Looking at the tall and handsome Aden walking in front of her, she felt inexplicably sad. She had always wanted a beautiful and lovely relationship, but she never met the right person.

"Mr. Morrison, Miss. Hamilton, your expressions are too stiff. Please smile." The photographer couldn't say anything harsh, because the newlyweds were from powerful families.
