Bella's POV
The echoes of my voice sounded like pieces of shattered glass as I screamed with all my wits across the woods. My tears were endlessly overflowing, but they showed no mercy. The rustling of the leaves filled my ear as I was dragged away on the rough ground.
The atmosphere was filled with pain and I saw my death just right before me.
"Please, I beg you. Don't kill me." I cried, panting heavily. "I never meant to harm him. I swear on my life. Please don't kill me."
"You know what. As much as I want to kill you, you must face the Alpha first. Just shut your fucking mouth and be calm." He snapped.
What have I done to deserve this? Why is my life so shitty like this? I never had any plans to kill him. I can't face the Alpha. He'll just kill me.
"Please, just let me go." I cried, kicking my legs in the air and struggling with him.
"What the fuck is wrong with you!?" He grinned. "You killed my best mate and you still beg me to leave you? Never! I promise you, I'll personally behead you." He snarled.
My heart sank inside my belly. My body shaking like a feather and my mind reeling with thoughts. The whole army of betas were just waiting to devour me.
I'm tired of this damn life. From one trouble to another. I need to leave this world. I'm tired. Instead of facing disgrace before the elders and the pack. It's better I die here like a worthless Omega as they always call me. There's no need to fucking get there.
"Kill me!" I screamed, flapping my weak hands on his shoulder, as if it pained him. "I said kill me you prick... that's what you fucking want aight? Kill me!" I cried.
This was the biggest mistake of my life. I saw death right in my very own eyes.
"You wanna die right? You'll surely die."
He threw me to the ground and pounced on me, alongside others. The weight of his hands pounding my face and my blood spilling all over the place. Their boots jabbed against my ribs and sent shock waves down my spine. My heartbeat slowly reduced and I could hear every beat of it. My eyes are sore and bulging with blood. Nevertheless, they did not relent, they really wanted to kill me.
I never thought death would be this painful. The throbbing of my heart destroyed the core of my soul. I thought it would be painless. Their boots are like hammers on my skin. Oh my!
"Please, I don't wanna die. Please! Stop. I'm sorry."
"No love, you're going down." He screamed and sent his boot crashing down hard on my chest.
My eyes threatened to leave their sockets. I was coughing blood and choking. My chest tightened and my heart stopped.
"Please!" I whimpered.
The stumping did not stop. My rib cage was damaged and my abdomen flooded with blood. He pressed my neck, stopping my breath and choking me. He was really serious about killing me. It was written all over his face. I can't die like this. I really can't. My soul was gradually drifting away and my body was growing pale and cold. My eyes slowly closed and yes, I've made peace with the moon goddess.
I layed there, watching his fiery eyes and waiting for my death.
"Please... oh... Rose... help... me..."
Just at the point of giving in, I heard a voice, loud like a trumpet and sent shockwaves down my spine and reignited those dying flesh.
"Let her be! You bastard." She cried.
"She deserves a fair trial before the Alpha and not die here like nothing in the woods. What has gotten over you?"
"I'm sorry Lady Maria."
The sound of her voice was like a cold breeze and froze us all. He quickly threw me away and left my neck and they all stood at ease.
She looked at them sternly, as if she would swallow them. I did not know who she was, but her voice was the voice of mercy. A voice sent directly from the moon goddess to save me.
"Don't worry lad. The Alpha is waiting for you. I'm so sorry." She said, her eyes locked on to mine and she raised me from the ground.
"Thank you." I muttered.
"Don't thank me yet, but you're welcome." She smiled.
I was silent all the while and I rested my head on her breast and found solace in it. I had completely forgotten about the whole situation and was enjoying sleep in her arms when I felt my body thud against the ground.
"Bring her close." The Alpha ordered. I knew that voice.
His guards dragged me forward to him and threw me at his feet.
I opened my eyes and the bright light of the palace shone in my eyes. I struggled to look at the whole arena, but the atmosphere was eerie, and the soft chatter and murmuring of the people gathered round to watch my trial sent shivers down my spine.
I scanned around, trying to find Rose, but caught not even a glimpse. Maybe she was out there fighting and I'm here being killed. Fuck!!
I turned back and I found those blue eyes locked on me. It was the same woman that had saved me, the voice of mercy. She stepped forward and sat by the Alpha's side. She's not his Luna, but I believe she must be someone with a very reputable rank. She's a gentle soul.
"Bella, as they call you." Tb Alpha spoke, his voice commanding and his aura filled the area. I jerked my head sharply and faced the ground. I dared not look at him.
"You've been charged guilty of murder child. How do you plead?"
I was hesitant to give a reply, but the blow from his guards opened my mouth and released the answer.
"Guilty." I screamed, the words escaping my mouth without any thoughts and dabbles of my blood splashed all over the ground.
"Good. So we aren't gonna waste any much time here, but however, I find it interesting why a girl of your age would kill a high ranking beta, one that served at the palace. Explain to this humble court why perpetrated the act." He pressed.
Already I knew my sentence, he just wanted to mock me. They'll still kill me anyways.
I was not ready to receive another jab from his ruthless guards so I let it all out.
"I never meant it." I cried.
Immediately, the room shook with a thunderous roar of laughter. They jeered at me and threw objects at me. Shame was far away from me. Death was just knocking at my door, waiting to be let in.
The Alpha raised his hand, signaling for order and the murmuring died down.
"Continue with your fairy tale lad." He scorned.
"I did not know the right antidote to administer to him. I'm sorry, your highness." I begged.
"I..."
"Enough of this shit father. She killed my swordsman. She shouldn't be here." Drew roared. He was the Alpha's first blood.
"So what do you suggest we do to her?"
"Kill her..."
