There was an empty space filled only with a brown leather sofa and a magnificent chandelier on the ceiling. The walls were painted white without any flaws, the oak wooden floor shone, French windows were installed on the right and left sides of the room, and a solid wooden door was closed tightly.
The sofa was arranged precisely under the chandelier with several candles surrounding it, extinguished by the sunlight behind the French windows that afternoon. He sat casually on the sofa, alone in his house hidden among the trees in Hampstead Forest, watching someone he had been waiting for centuries to be born.
"It's time to meet," he murmured, crossing his legs, staring at the empty wall as if waiting for something to come and tear it apart.
His gaze shifted briefly to the floor, to the oak wooden floor that was growing colder due to the season.
Then, after he blinked and looked back at the pale wall a meter away from the sofa, something happened in slow motion.
Cracks appeared on the wall, even though there was no earthquake or any disturbance, everything peeled off as if torn easily, separated one by one, and floated away, revealing a different scene.
Every arrangement in the quiet room cracked and disappeared, replaced by a cooler and more hidden forest atmosphere, while the man's body still sat casually on his leather sofa, grinning.
"Lysander Ravenwood," She said softly.
His smile becoming very gentle. He was always amazed every time he successfully performed clairvoyance to meet the Moon Goddess. A fortune that only befell a few of them.
"Ah, nice to meet you again," he continued. "I want to thank you because the moment of waiting for centuries, as you said, I have obtained. I found it with a light that will not fade."
"Congratulations to you," the Moon Goddess replied, sitting on a fallen tree trunk. She controlled everything in her world without difficulty. "However, stay within the boundaries that have been ordained, Lysander Ravenwood," she warned. "You understand the meaning of that interest, so walk calmly among the currents that pursue, don't let yourself be drowned by it."
"I understand," Lysander replied. "I won't ruin anything."
"Let the girl get to know and trust you with sincerity, then everything will be fine," the Moon Goddess advised.
Then, she disappeared like a light swallowed by darkness, and the forest atmosphere was swept away, pulling Lysander back to his normal world in a closed room.
Huh.
Lysander took a deep breath, bending his left arm to cover his closed eyes. Although he only communicated for a few seconds, it was enough to absorb all of Lysander's energy, causing his body to feel tired and need rest.

On Monday afternoon, after the first class ended, Josephine dragged her feet towards the library, intending to apply as Melissa Graham's assistant, following the instructions to start her second part-time job, just like before the reincarnation.
She walked faster, looking down, passing people in the hallway, ignoring their voices, letting herself become invisible, just like she always did. Making herself unnoticeable to anyone was a kind of peace.
When Josephine finally reached the library, she almost approached Melissa Graham before her steps halted because the woman was talking to a student across her desk.
A tall guy with a white hoodie and a black backpack slung over his left shoulder stood with his back to Josephine.
Not wanting to intrude on others' privacy, Josephine moved to the corner near the Tudor window, to the front visitor's chair that was still empty.
They spoke softly, but their voices were clear enough due to the quiet atmosphere, with visitors engrossed in their books.
"It's been a while since you've set foot in this library, I even forgot you're still a student here," Melissa said with a light laugh, they spoke familiarly as they knew each other as students and library staff who often met in this room.
"Luckily, I have a strong reason to come back here," Lysander replied.
"Oh yeah? What's that? Aren't you smart enough? I've heard many female students talking about your win in the Cambridge law student debate. They made it a hot topic all day, it's hard to avoid discussing you, Lysander."
"That's an exaggeration. I was just lucky because I mastered the debate topic in the last session."
"You were like a hungry wolf when rebutting your opponents' arguments. I've seen it on a video owned by a female student here, they happily recorded you."
Josephine was intrigued by their conversation, she glanced over-finding the side profile of the guy talking to Melissa Graham, he looked bright and warm while speaking with a smile, which caught Josephine's attention and made her remember him more.
Lysander Ravenwood was quite popular as a fourth-year law student at Kingston University, he joined the faculty debate club since his first year and often represented the university and his debate club in national competitions.
The debate competition usually used the most common format in the UK, which is the British Parliamentary format. Lysander's success earned him several trophies, the title of 'best debater', and thousands of dollars in cash prizes.
"I heard you got an internship opportunity at Clifford Chance," Melissa still enthusiastically discussed the guy's achievements.
"Ah, I haven't thought about taking that opportunity," Lysander replied.
"What's wrong? Isn't it great? Law students would definitely want to go there."
"I don't know, I feel like I'm not good enough."
Someone who is intelligent and knowledgeable deserves admiration, Melissa did it well, especially with Lysander's perfect face-adding to his bright reputation that was crazy among female students.
"Besides talking about you, they're also discussing the faculty exchange program," Melissa continued.
"Early next year, right?" Lysander nodded, tapping the table surface with his right index finger.
"Yes, there will be two lecturers coming."
Josephine, who had returned to her book, was intrigued by the mention of Thane, her heart racing because of it.
Soon.
Just a few days until they would finally meet.
"Hmm, but I'm worried someone might take my place," Lysander murmured.
"Oh, that's impossible, you've been loved by lecturers and students during your time at this university," Melissa understood something different, while Lysander didn't mean it that way, as his focus had shifted to a girl sitting alone in the front corner-right next to the window.
"Really? I've been waiting for this moment for a long time," Lysander didn't hesitate to stare at Josephine openly, smiling seductively to show his interest.
"Of course, even after you graduate from this university, your name will always be a fascinating topic. Trust me," Melissa added.
Josephine glared in silence, she recognized Lysander's face after seeing him in one straight orbit. Even his smile, the same smile he showed in the hallway that day.
"Alright, I hope others will trust me too," Lysander didn't look away from Josephine, even though he continued talking to Melissa, luckily the librarian had sat down, checking a large book.
"Don't doubt your abilities."
"Okay, maybe someone wants to discuss something important with you, Mrs. Melissa. I can leave now," Lysander said, reluctantly looking away from Josephine as he walked out of the library.
Although she felt relieved, like a weight had been lifted off her shoulders, Josephine still felt strange. Just a single glance was enough to affect her thoughts, Lysander had a strong charm and personality that made others easily captivated by him.
Suddenly, Josephine felt amused, but also denied her own foolishness. It wasn't strange that they had just met now, even though the guy was quite popular, someone like Josephine who liked to hide in her comfort zone wouldn't see many amazing moments outside her self-imposed boundaries, and discovering Lysander was an unexpected wonder.
