Her eyelashes fluttered, blown by the quite strong wind from the surrounding atmosphere, she chose to open her eyelids with her body lying on the ground, but she only wore a white nightgown and contrasted with her skin.
Josephine blinked, she sat up and observed the situation there. Her last memory made her touch her chest, she bowed her head realizing the previous pain had disappeared, then peeked behind her nightgown.
"There's no wound, where's the stab wound scar? My heart is fine." She was confused.
"Am I dreaming? Didn't I already die?" Josephine was in an open field, a dark and cold forest, although it seemed that summer still shrouded the place.
"Didn't the snow just fall? Why is the ground so barren?" She became more confused, then got up to look for something, she prepared her ears well to hear anything there.
A night like this should have made her hear the sounds of nocturnal animals, or howls from entities like from a distant place, but Josephine didn't hear anything.
The moon shone brightly, and the darkness was not a threat to her, so she tried to walk using her bare feet, tracing the sides of large-diameter trees, plane trees and walnuts, and older oak trees.
"Josephine Adeline of the Starweaver Clan."
Josephine's steps stopped, she heard a voice that was so soft and full of kindness, but the figure was still unseen.
"It's me, and who's there?" She tried to find her, passing through the barren land and tall wild grass, this place was increasingly strange because Josephine struggled to identify it.
Although it was a forest, it wasn't normal if it was too quiet, and at one point, an insect as big as a fingernail flew at a corner, emitting light.
"Is this a firefly?" She smiled warmly after successfully catching one, for a moment Josephine forgot about the voice without a shape that again called the girl's name.
"Josephine Adeline, can you see me?"
A light slowly appeared between an oak tree and a plane tree about five meters from Josephine's position, a light that was brighter and more magnificent than the firefly's in her hand.
Josephine was stunned, letting the firefly fly away from her hand. She had never seen a figure brighter than the moon in the night sky, standing there, smiling at her.
"That ...."
"Josephine Adeline of the Starweaver Clan."
Ah, apparently the soft voice full of warmth was hers, someone who was very elegant and beautiful.
Her face shone like a full moon, with soft and shining skin. Her hair was long and silver, like moonlight falling to earth.
Her eyes were bright blue, like a night sky filled with stars. She wore clothes made of light and transparent materials, like silk or wool.
On her head, she wore a crown made of flowers and leaves, symbolizing the power of nature and fertility. In her hand, she held a staff made of precious wood, symbolizing her power and wisdom.
The Moon Goddess symbolized feminine power and nature. She was a symbol of power, wisdom, and fertility, inspiring and protecting all creatures on earth.
"Moon Goddess."
Josephine's emerald eyes were filled with the figure, throughout her life, this was the first time she could find it.
"Yes, I came to you with a purpose."
"W-what is it?"
The Moon Goddess looked at Josephine with eyes full of love and said, "I give you a second chance to live because you have the right to know the truth about your own death. You were killed by an unfair Alpha, but there is a deeper reason behind your death."
Josephine felt curious, then asked, "What reason?"
The Moon Goddess replied, "You have a great responsibility towards the people you will meet in your new life. They need your protection and guidance. I believe you have the strength and courage to carry out this task."
Josephine felt hesitant, but the Moon Goddess continued, "Return, and meet those who can protect you, fix everything that made you regret. This opportunity may not come again."
"W-what is this? What does it mean by reincarnation? Am I living again?" Josephine was still confused and needed a more detailed explanation, but the Moon Goddess figure had completely disappeared, even the light from the firefly went with her, leaving Josephine alone and lonely again.

"Miss Josephine, Miss Josephine. Are you sick?"
The girl could hear her, when she opened her eyelids, the figure named Mellisa Graham who worked as a library staff appeared on the side of the table, slightly bending over and showing her worried face.
"You look pale, and it's not usual for you to fall asleep in the library. Are you really sick and forcing yourself to come today?"
"Ms. Mellisa."
She lifted her head after leaning on the table surface, a 'just woke up' face was indeed attached there.
"Yes. Do you need help? I have paracetamol, should I get it?"
Josephine shook her head.
"Ms. Mellisa, what's the date today? What day is it?"
The thirty-five-year-old woman with her shoulder-length hair checked her watch for a moment.
"It's eleven o'clock, and today is Wednesday, December 15th, 2023."
"Ah ...."
"What happened?"
"Nothing."
Josephine gazed at the winter atmosphere from the Tudor-style window on her left side, her memories before death were on the night of the first snowfall in 2024, so Josephine returned to a situation a year earlier.
"I heard today the cafeteria serves lemon ginger tea from Whittard, should I get it? It's very good to consume lemon ginger tea during winter."
"Thank you, Ms. Mellisa. I'll get it."
Josephine felt awkward.
"And sorry for falling asleep here."
"It's okay. I'm just worried because you've never been like this."
"A little tired, I've had a pretty packed part-time job lately."
She remembered after winter ended she just applied for a part-time job at Foggy Brew, but Josephine already had 'freelance writing' that always stirred her thoughts.
"Ah, of course. You're always enthusiastic about it, Miss Josephine."
"I'll go."
She got up and put her brown backpack back on, walking past Mellisa towards several large racks filled with thick books, the library became the coziest place to hide.
"Don't forget to get the lemon ginger tea at the cafeteria, Miss Josephine!"
She slightly shouted when the student who always immersed herself in this place-almost reached the exit door.
Josephine stopped for a moment to nod and smile, "I will do it, thank you."

Back at Kalynda Lodge Dormitory, the situation was almost the same as before Josephine's death, only reduced by a few new items she bought the following year.
The girl rummaged through the drawer, looking for additional evidence that she really reincarnated, it still felt hard to believe that the Moon Goddess had approached her in a dream.
"Josephine, what are you doing? Robbing your own stuff?"
The girl with her blue cardigan turned around, she was surprised to find Monica-her roommate- who moved in mid-summer 2024.
Monica lay on the single-sized bed and across from Josephine's bed, each room could be occupied by two people, but since Monica decided to move, no one occupied her former bed.
"Y-you ...."
Josephine dropped a stack of papers from her work while writing reviews, editing scripts, and writing a print article.
She could do anything as a freelance writer.
"N-not, I mean ... how are you, Monica?"
Her roommate almost burst out laughing in response to Josephine's weird behavior.
"Hey. Why are you so surprised, huh? Did you see a ghost?"
"N-not, I mean ... Monica, you're here."
Her roommate was about to laugh at Josephine's weird attitude.
"What's going on? I'm really confused."
"I-I'm just surprised."
Monica was almost laughing in response to Josephine's awkwardness.
"Hey, can you see it for yourself? I've been having a fever and flu since yesterday. So, take care of yourself so you don't get infected, because I'm reluctant to go back to my father's house."
"Ah. Yeah, I understand."
Now Josephine understood, she didn't need to look for evidence anymore, Monica's presence in this room was enough to make her believe in the reincarnation.
"Josephine, do you have a hot pack? Besides this annoying fever and flu, my period came along with it. This is frustrating torture."
Yes, she was indeed Monica who was sometimes careless and spoke crudely.
"I have it for you."
