"From the start everything was a set up?" Aria shrieked, confused, her voice rising higher than supposed

"No, no!" Kael panicked, rising up, his face paled.

" Falling for you really wasn't part of it! It wasn't a plan,...I swear!

Please believe me "

Kael's expression was sincere, his panicked expression, palpable.

"We just needed the right lady, and then I found you, a perfect match..."

"Oh, and then you used me?

Made me fall in love with you?" Aria scoffed, her voice shaky, thoughts a terrible mess, her brain rattling, trying to process the meaning behind his words.

"Aria?" Kael's called out softly, nearly breaking down, with no energy left to argue.

"I'll not let you down, I love you!"

Kael's words came out like an ice sent to dissolve a ticking time bumb.

How on earth can you use a person that you love?

"I mean it Aria!

I really do"

Kael added, noticing Aria's uncertain expression, taking her by the hand.

"I'll not put you in any danger. It's a promise!"

"And your project?"

Aria asked softly, drained of any energy to shout or argue back, her tone weary.

Gazing at Kael, She even starting to doubt her very own life's choices.

"Well, With your IT topnotch skills, you just have to set it, and that's all. You're a pro in it!

You trained there right?"

Yeah right!

How could She forget that?

'But why her?'

Aria thought vaguely, her thoughts travelling back.

Her parents had got her trained in IT under a computer pro when she was just 8, before her master died, and her parents, years later...

Aria was jerked back from her thoughts, when she felt warmth spreading around her.

And She looked up, the feeling of that warmth so soothing.

"It's gonna be fine Sugar.

I love you...I really do.

I just didn't even realize when?"

Kael spoke softly, his words weighing on her mind, strangely and oddly comforting.

Two proffessions in less than two hours?

"How long?"

"How long have you known me?

How much do you know me?

When did you start loving me?

Why did you then make me love you?"

Aria's words came out freely, leaning gently against his chest, with no resilience, no strength left to shout at Kael.

"I've known you for up to a year now if I'm not mistaken, I've been monitoring you, your daily early morning coffee at the cafe, and life's routine"

Kael didn't hide the truth, his words coming out without hesitation.

This was Kael's secret.

"Honestly, I don't know.

Maybe I fell for you at first sight." Kael's tone was hush, his words sounding like the purest thing Aria had heard on earth.

Suddenly, her heart fluttered.

This was Kael, his history.

He was giving her his love, promising not to let her down.

At least he was being genuine and open right?

No man would do that to loose his puppet right?

But he did.

Suddenly, Aria also felt a sense of loyalty towards Kael.

She damn loved this guy, despite his many flaws and dare devil task, project.

She knew, felt that she had to stand by him, no matter what.

As Kael continued to speak soothing nothings, Aria's world began to shift.

She realized that her feelings for Kael were deeper than she had ever imagined.

She found herself willingly ready to face whatever challenges lay ahead, as long as she was with him.

But as the truth began to unfold clearer, Aria couldn't help but wonder: What other secrets was Kael hiding if at all?

And what lay ahead for them?

The path forward was uncertain, but one thing was clear: their lives would never be the same again.
