Chapter 3 Chapter 3 Didn't She Reconcile with Me Before Ten

Eight o'clock in the evening.

At Nightview, the only club in the world where you need to spend at least a billion a year to qualify for a membership card.

Lucy appeared there, strikingly dressed in a one-shoulder silver sequined dress.

It was her club.

Libby temporarily managed it for her.

During their entrepreneurial days, Lucy and Libby were known as the two flowers of Jorvik Liquor Alley and had vowed that if they ever became rich, they would open a boutique hotel modeled after aristocratic style. Nightview was the result.

After meeting Bruce, Lucy gave up all her hobbies. For five years, she had hardly attended any events, even the annual meetings or galas of the Parker Group.

She wanted Bruce to feel at home when he came back, so she put all her heart into making their home warm and welcoming. She was always glued to her phone, scared she'd miss a message from Bruce saying he'd be home that night.

"Ladies and gentlemen, my bestie just got divorced today. To celebrate her return to singlehood, all the drinks tonight are on me."

Boom, boom, boom.

Libby announced into the mic from the center of the dance floor.

Lucy, drunk and emboldened by the alcohol, was urged onto the stage, where she began performing a pole dance in the center of the dance floor.

With her fair skin and delicate features, she exuded an irresistible charm through her dance, driving every man present wild.

She hadn't felt this relaxed in a long time.

Suddenly, she couldn't help but question herself-had she been out of her mind for the past five years? Wasting so much time on a heartless man and losing herself in the process?

This was not how Jorvik's elusive Goddess of Stocks was supposed to be.

She was meant to be a proud girl, but she had pretended to be gentle for five years just because Bruce didn't like strong-willed women, forgetting that deep down, she loved being wild and free.

The more she thought about it, the more she felt those five years were completely wasted. Lucy twisted her body more seductively as she danced.

"Laura, come over here. The dancer on stage... why does she look like your sister-in-law?"

Bruce's sister, Laura Parker, had sneaked out with one of Bruce's unused cards to have some fun with her friends, only to unexpectedly run into Lucy.

Holding a glass of champagne, Laura glanced in the direction her friend was pointing and uncertainly said, "No, it can't be her. She's just a country bumpkin. This is Nightview, and you need a card to get in. There's no way she could dance like that."

Despite her words, Laura frowned, suspicious. She took out her phone to film the scene and sent it to Bruce.

Bruce was staring blankly at the banner in the villa that read "Happy Fifth Wedding Anniversary."

He had woken up hungry.

Naturally, he went downstairs to find something to eat, but he found the usually spotless living room and kitchen in complete disarray. The dining table was littered with leftovers, flies buzzing around, making the place look like a garbage dump.

He was extremely displeased. Lucy had left with her suitcase, but what about the villa's housekeeper and maids?

"Sir, the madam gave us the day off. She said she wanted to decorate the villa herself to celebrate your fifth wedding anniversary together. Didn't she tell you?" the butler explained over the phone.

Bruce felt like he'd been struck by lightning.

He remembered why Lucy had asked for a divorce, but he was still displeased. Was this really worth making a fuss over?

Had he been too lenient with her all these years?

Beep!

A message popped up on his phone.

Bruce glanced at the antique clock in the living room. It was almost ten o'clock. "See? I knew she'd come back," he thought smugly. Since their marriage, no matter how upset she was, she always reconciled with him before ten.

Bruce opened the message.

[Brother, is this Lucy?] A video immediately started playing.

In the video, a stunning beauty with fair skin that seemed to glow was dancing provocatively in the center of a brightly lit dance floor with four male dancers, who appeared to be bar models.

Her movements were suggestive, and combined with the male models' participation, the scene was almost X-rated.

"What?"
