Chapter 2 Chapter 2 The World's Top Investor Returned

Bruce's mind went blank, suspecting he might have misheard.

"What did you say?"

His voice involuntarily rose.

Lucy placed the divorce papers in front of him, thoughtfully handing him a diamond-encrusted pen-an anniversary gift apart from the villa's decorations.

"I'm asking for a divorce. Sign it."

Bruce impatiently rubbed his throbbing temples. "What are you on about now?"

He commanded. "Go get me a glass of warm water or some hangover pills."

Lucy didn't move as she stood upright. "I'm not joking. I've already signed it."

Bruce got annoyed. "Aren't you just making a fuss again? How many times has it been now?"

Lucy laughed angrily. This was the man she had loved for five years. Even when she brought up divorce, this was all he had to say.

He never asked her why she wanted a divorce, or what he might have done wrong.

To him, this marriage probably meant nothing at all.

"Bruce, do you know what day it was yesterday?"

Bruce looked at her. "What day?" He was both guilty and annoyed. "Is it some Valentine's Day or anniversary? How boring."

"It wasn't anything special. Just remember that today is the day we're getting divorced."

With that, Lucy turned and left with her suitcase, without looking back.

Bruce stood there in shock. "What day was it yesterday? Wait! You've got to explain it clearly!"

As she walked out of the Parker Villa, petals started to rain down from the sky.

Lucy looked up to see a helicopter hovering overhead, adorned with a flower lantern that read 'Happy Divorce, Darling.' Ten limited-edition luxury cars followed in succession.

An elderly butler, dressed in a formal suit with gloves, was the first to step out of the car.

Next, the drivers of the ten luxury cars lined up in two rows in front of Lucy, like well-trained soldiers.

Finally, a stunning woman in an expensive burgundy evening gown with a neckline adorned with 1,101 diamonds stepped out.

She gracefully accepted a bouquet of red roses handed to her by the butler, her crimson lips curling into a slight smile. "Darling, I'm here to take you home!"

She was Libby Wright, the assistant and bestie of Lucy the Goddess of Stocks.

"Miss, happy divorce. Welcome home."

It was as grand as a military parade.

Lucy rolled her eyes at her. Libby clicked her tongue and said, "I know you're low-key and don't want anyone to know your true identity, so I kept it low-key too-only bringing the old butler and ten servants."

Libby tried hard not to announce that after five long years, this day had finally arrived.

Lucy didn't blame her. She handed her suitcase to the butler beside her and said, "Let's go."

As she stepped into the car, her slender figure and the two words she uttered were powerful and firm. Even though Bruce was the richest man in Jorvik, he would never have known that the woman who shared his bed for five years was actually the elusive and unattainable Goddess of Stocks, the world's top investor.

The car drove to another villa in Jorvik, Bailey Villa, which was even more ancient, grand, and magnificent than Parker Villa.

A servant knelt down to offer Lucy slippers, but she walked barefoot on the luxurious cashmere rug, reclining on a sofa that felt like human skin, resting her head.

Libby turned on an oversized LCD TV embedded in marble in front of her, displaying row after row of photos of handsome men from around the world, at least 108 of them, for her to choose from.

Lucy rolled her eyes at her again.

Libby said, "Don't be like that, darling. As the saying goes, to forget one relationship, you need to start another."

Lucy stood up and went upstairs, her feet looking like jade against the soft, expensive carpet.

Libby persisted. "You said that after the divorce, I could arrange things."

That was their agreement.

Lucy responded, "Alright."

Then she heard Libby making a call. "Hey, get me four hot men of different types, tonight."
