3 years have passed, and Bella still never gave up on looking for her husband, Adrian. Channeling every frustration and regret into her work, her company grew even bigger, all in while not letting Carlos get away from everything he had done to her by completely exposing the buried scandal of his family, Desmond, making them completely fall.
Her parents, after realizing that Adrian had gone, also helped Bella to look for him after reprimanding her for neglecting him and her marriage life. They knew just how devoted and smart Adrian was, which is one of the factors why they agreed to arranged marriage proposed by the Wilkins before.
One afternoon, as Bella just finished the deal with a well-known businesswoman and about to call someone to update her regarding Adrian, she saw a familiar figure walking at the sidewalk.
"Adrian..." She murmured. There's no mistaken it. It's him even though there are changes she noticed: Broad shoulders, toned body, sharp chin, smooth face, and eyes that are alive. And one thing she noticed the most is his military attire.
"Could it be he became a soldier?" She thought before snapping herself out and tries to hurriedly leave the restaurant. The moment she went outside, she couldn't find Adrian again. But, this time, she didn't felt frustrated. More like, she felt hope that she can find him within this city.
With the determination to fix her relationship with Adrian, Bella grabbed her phone and called someone, giving new orders. After that, she look towards the direction where Adrian was. "This time, I won't let you get away again, and I will mend our relationship, my husband."
Meanwhile, Adrian, unaware that Bella saw her a while ago, meet up with his best friend, Simon, in a private room at the restaurant that Simon had booked after receiving a call from Adrian.
"Adrian! You're back!" Simon exclaims and hugs him, clearly have missed him.
"I'm back, Simon. Thanks for welcoming me back and meeting with me." Adrian hugs back before pulling away and takes a seat.
"It's been 3 years man. 3 whole years hiding your existence, Adrian. I've been visiting your family almost everyday since you told me to take care of them. Your family misses you, especially your eldest brother, Nathan. Man, you should had seen him in tears when he thought you were gone. He almost used his authority to find you, but your parents stopped him and explained that you weren't really gone but chasing your dreams."
"Speaking of dreams..." Simon takes a while to take a look at him. "Damn! You really got better. Seems like those training paid off, making yourself look dominant."
Adrian shrugs, clearly amused by his best friend. "I can teach you the same hardcore trainings we did. That'll probably increase your admirers."
"No thanks. I might become a muscleman instead." Simon grumbles with mischievous tone before turning serious. "About Bella. I heard that she never stopped looking for you."
Adrian's face darkened, turning cold and serious as well. "She did that? That's odd. I thought she wouldn't look for me after I left that letter. To think she would caught on."
Simon sighs before continuing. "To be honest, I was surprised as well. And when she came to me asking if I knew where you were, I had my heart jumping from nervousness. Thankfully I had prepared what to say."
"But you know, Adrian. I think she already regretted it. After all, Carlos and his family had fallen due to their scandal being unburied. And guess what? It was Bella who did that."
Hearing a knock on the door, Simon lets out another sigh before relaxing his face. "Anyways. Let's talk more later and eat first. That must be the staff now."
Before Simon could stand, Adrian stands up first. "I'll go and open it." After moving towards the door, he opens it only to find not the staff but the last person he wanted to see.
"Bella?"
