Chapter 2 Starting Line of Forgotten Dream

After a week, Adrian is finally settled and accepted into his training in the military. He had a brief interaction with the captain, discussing on his background, skills and history, before he was assigned to a company. Adrian knows he has a bright future in this group, along with the fact that he can be who he really is.

Adrian takes a deep breath and walks out of the room, where his commander is.

"Welcome, Adrian! Congratulations for being part of the First Special Forces Group!" says the commander.

Everyone claps their hands as they welcome their new member.

"We'll talk more about it after the parade," says the commander.

After the parade, Adrian has given more details about how First Company works as well as other companies that have their own specializations. He has no problem getting used to his new life here.

As he's about to go back to his room, he sees a familiar girl at the hall.

"You are?" Adrian asks.

The girl turns around, revealing her beauty and a face that can take anyone's breath away. "You're... Adrian, right?"

Adrian nods, wondering how she knows him.

"I'm Riku from 2nd Company. I've heard about you 4 years ago before I came here," she says.

"Do you remember about that banquet where a lot of military officers tried to scout you, but you rejected each one of them saying that you're not ready. You look cool at that time." Riku remembers everything that happened, making Adrian look at her with awe.

"I remember. I never expected I would meet someone who attended that banquet as well. You're the daughter of Police Superintendent Espinoza, aren't you?" Adrian recognizes her after a while.

Riku smiles, "Yes, that's me. It's an honor to meet you, Adrian. I was just wondering why you're here, being a soldier, I mean."

Adrian nods, "It's a long story. But let's just say, I want to live freely for a while, away from everything I had ever known."

"What is your codename, by the way?" asks Riku.

"The name's 'S'. That's the only name I had."

"Are you going to tell me more about yourself or are we not friends?"

Adrian sighs, "I don't want to tell you. I'm afraid you'll think I'm weird or something. But I can tell you that I'm the same Adrian you met 4 years ago."

Riku giggles, "Don't worry. I'll support you no matter what. I know that you're a good guy."

Adrian and Riku got closer since their meeting. With frequent joint trainings of First and Second Company, they mostly bumped into each other, doing their own respective trainings.

During first few months of training, Adrian had barely keeping up with trainings as it keeps getting harder. From basic trainings to advanced and specialized activities. All of these are enough to make some of the trainees give up in the middle, but Adrian never once considered to give up. Now that he has complete time for himself, he gives himself an extra attention to his physique, making him fit, as well as improving himself in all aspects, earning respect from his comrades and the spot as the best.

Meanwhile, Bella, after reading the letter leave behind and overheard about how Carlos was just using her, which in turn she cut ties with him, couldn't helped but feel unease as she never heard of Adrian since the day she returned from taking care of Carlos. She also couldn't find any things in their house that are related to Adrian. Even his social medias are gone, like he was never existed at all.

From then on, she started using her resources to find Adrian. She even booked a flight to where his family at, asking if they knew where Adrian is. His family, already been informed about Adrian's decision to vanish and follow his dreams, can only say that they don't know where he is, which is the truth and the only way to help him.

Bella, with no luck, takes a seat at the nearby bench at the park, looking up at the sky and finally realized just how much she missed him while regretting that she never once tried to know him, to know who Adrian, her devoted husband, is.
