"How is this? What if Darrel finds out? You idiot!" Laura said, hitting herself on the head.
Aslan stopped her and took her by the shoulders. There were no regrets because everything had just happened. They could only hide this fact from others, especially Darrel.
"Stop crying! It won't solve the problem if you do. I'll give you some money and get out of this town. Break off your relationship with Darrel!"
Aslan stood up and handed Laura a business card.
"Meet me tomorrow at my workplace. There are still things I need to settle with you. I'll give you your savings, and you'll have to leave town immediately. Do you understand?"
Laura was silent, still sobbing on the floor. Aslan walked away from her, and Laura cried even harder until Aslan, who was in the hallway, stopped dead in his tracks. He couldn't bear the girl and decided to go back to her.
Aslan helped her to stand up and sit on the edge of the bed. Laura shook violently from the one-night stand with her boyfriend's father.
"What you have to do is immediately break off your relationship. You can't be married to Darrel, especially since I've already tasted your body. Besides, you seem like a bad girl; why are you even playing with that app?" Aslan asked.
"My friends set me up. I needed money to help pay off my grandmother's debt in the village; if it weren't, her house would be confiscated. I just asked my friends to find a decent job, but they got me drunk, and that hot night happened, and they even took some of the money," Laura explained with a sob.
Aslan was gyrating his waist before her; Laura didn't dare to look at his face. She felt ashamed of the man who was much older than her.
Laura wiped away her tears, checked her account, and intended to return the money to Aslan.
"I'll return the money," Laura said.
"For what? Right now, it's not about returning the money; I can't even return what I took from you last night. I'm thinking about what would happen if you got pregnant. Yesterday, I didn't wear anything and just used my instincts," Aslan replied.
Hearing all that made Laura even sadder. Yes, she needed to get out of town as soon as possible so she wouldn't get attached to Aslan and make Darrel disappointed in her.
Laura was even more devastated when Aslan handed her some money, and she left the room before her neighbors could find out.
Aslan walked down the hallway wearing sunglasses. He just hoped that Lara could get out of town quickly. He didn't want Darrel to be disappointed in him.
When he got to the car, Aslan got a message from his ex-wife. Mona asked him to eat with the children, but Darrel was there.
Aslan drove to a nearby restaurant, and 15 minutes later, he was there.
Of course, Mona brought her new husband and their baby. Aslan didn't keep his distance from his ex-wife because he wanted to maintain a friendly relationship, especially since he missed his daughter Monica, who was growing up.
"Aslan, order the food you want! We've ordered it," Mona pleaded.
Aslan stroked his daughter's hair, but Monica seemed uncomfortable, especially since they hadn't been close for a long time.
"No need; after this, I have more business," Aslan replied.
Darrel suddenly got up from his seat while playing with his cell phone and asked for permission to go out for a while. Mona shook her head at the attitude of her eldest son, like Aslan.
"Darrel, your habit. Where are you going?" Mona asked.
"I'll be here later," Darrel replied and ran out.
When Darrel left, Aslan now felt awkward between them, especially since his biological daughter had been playing on her cell phone without paying attention to her biological father. Mona's new husband tried to break the ice; he didn't want this meal to be tasteless.
15 minutes later.
Darrel returned on his motorcycle, holding a woman, and Aslan was wide-eyed at the woman.
They stared at each other, even though half an hour ago they were both panicking.
"Mom, let me introduce you. She's my girlfriend. Her name is Laura," Darrel said.
Mona stood up, took Laura by the shoulders, and looked at her beautiful face, but she could tell that Laura had just been crying.
"Darrel, did you make her cry?" Mona asked.
"No, Aunty. I'm fine," Laura replied.
Darrel pulled out a chair for Laura, and they sat next to each other, with Laura sitting directly in front of Aslan. She dared not dare look at him because she was terrified of him.
Darrel told her that after he graduated from college, he would marry Laura as soon as possible and give them a cute grandchild. Laura remained silent until Aslan's foot deliberately nudged her under the table.
Laura looked up at him, and Aslan's gaze was sharp.
"Daddy doesn't approve of our relationship; what do you think, Mom?" Darrel asked.
"Aslan, you're too controlling for Darrel. No wonder Darrel doesn't feel at home with you," Mona said.
"There's a reason I don't agree with their relationship," Aslan replied.
Darrel chuckled, thinking his father was just outmatched and didn't like it when his son was happy.
Laura stood up and excused herself to go to the bathroom because she was suffocating under Aslan's piercing gaze.
Not long after, Aslan also went to the bathroom and approached Laura in front of the sink.
"You," Aslan said, startling Laura.
"Uncle, what are you doing here? This is the girls' bathroom," Laura asked.
"How dare you come to a family meal. Are you trying to have a relationship with my son?"
Laura backed away slowly until her body was pressed against the wall. Aslan moved closer without fear, and his lips were already on Laura's ear, whispering threatening words.
"You, what's so hard about breaking up with Darrel? Or do you want me to reveal our secret to them right now?" Aslan threatened.
Laura shook her head, apologizing. After this, she would ask for Darrel's breakup in front of them.
Laura stepped past Aslan and accidentally tripped. Fortunately, Aslan held her up. They locked eyes, and Laura handheld Aslan's arm firmly enough to keep him from falling.
At the same time, Aslan's daughter Monica accidentally saw him while going to the toilet.
