Chapter 6 THE UNEXPECTED SAVIOUR

Ava stormed down the steps, her furious expression clearing a path as people stepped aside to avoid her wrath. At the car park, she considered lighting a cigarette to calm her nerves, and as she sat near an abandoned store, she began to hear strange noises coming from within. Fear crept in, warning her to leave, but her curiosity got the better of her. Suddenly, she let out a shocked "What the fuck?!" and quickly covered her mouth to avoid being discovered, her eyes wide with surprise and alarm.

Nath slowly regained consciousness, the sound of laughter pierced through the haze. He had no idea how long he had been out cold. His surroundings came into focus, and he realized he was in an abandoned store at the hotel. The air reeked of smoke and booze. Three men sat at a round table, engrossed in a game, their laughter and shouts filling the space.

His vision was still blurry, and his head spun. Tried to move, but his body felt heavy, unresponsive, he glanced down to see that he was tied to a chair. A surge of anger and determination coursed through him. These men had no idea who they were dealing with – the most feared man in the country.

One of the men, seemingly the youngest, noticed he was awake. "Boss, he's up," he said, his voice laced with excitement. The leader, a burly man with a sneer, turned to face Nath. "Well, well, well, look what we have here. If it isn't Mr. Perry Nath, the ruthless kingpin of our country." He feigned fear, shivering and laughing. "What would you do to me, oh mighty Nath?" He said

The men erupted into laughter again. Nath remained calm, his voice icy. "You don't know who you're messing with." The leader chuckled. "Oh, I know exactly who you are, Nath. But what can the great Nath do when he's tied up?" He sneered, his eyes glinting with amusement. Hehehe he stressed the laughter.

"We've been paid to rough you up and have our way with you," he continued, his voice dripping with malice. Nath smiled coldly. "You're playing with fire. Tell me who sent you, and I might let you live." The leader guffawed. "You think I'm stupid? You'll never leave this place alive. Say goodbye to everything, Nath. You'll be meeting your brother, the devil, in hell today."

Nath smirked, lowering his head a bit, mind racing with plans for escape. "We'll see who laughs last," he said, his voice dripping with confidence. The leader snickered, then turned to his men. "Let's give our guest some time to think about his predicament." They exited the room, leaving him to his thoughts. He smiled to himself. These men were amateurs. They had no idea what they'd just gotten themselves into.

Wait, what's he doing here?, she asked no one. "thought they said he's feared among everyone in the country", so who has the power to bring him up here. She said it in a low tone. Then she saw the men who tied him up there left the place, she drew near him. She looked at him and thought of how she got embarrassed by him some minutes ago. She smirked, turned her back and was about to leave when she heard his low desperate pleading voice..

She was stuffed because she couldn't believe he could ask for help. She tried moving again when he said it the second time.

She took pity on him and sneakily walked towards him and said in his ears

"I'm helping you cause I have some humanity and sympathy in me, with what you did to me, I shouldn't even come close to you". And she began untying him and while she was at it breathing heavily as she heard a voice.

"Who are you?" She froze immediately

Her body became numb.

"I said who are you?" The man asked again

She tried to calm herself so she won't make it known that she's really nervous and I'm panicking. She smiled and answered

Nothing, I just want to untie him, she answered smiling.

"Who sent you?"His voice sent shivers down her spine but she wouldn't allow him to know how his voice is getting to her

She replied. "No one"

"Then you'll have to join him."

Nath opened his eyes wide as he gulped.

Then the captor went down to Nath's face and say something, in a whispering voice, Ava couldn't register, her thoughts were occupied with possibilities of how to escape. She asked herself if she was going to die this way because of her curiosity. "I should have just left him, now I'm regretting it". she said in panic. She looked, saw the man smirking at her, she shivered involuntarily. Then when he turned back to go call his team, she sneakily took a rod and hit him on his head, he fell with a thud on the floor.

Then she untied the rest rope from Nath and supported him by putting his hand on her shoulder, "this dude is as heavy as fuck", she said.. she sneakily walked him out with down to the car park, dropped him beside his car, she looked around wondered why his guards left his car unguarded. left him on the floor and whispered to him, "have a nice life, Mr Nath. She hurriedly left.
