Chapter 5 The consent

On arriving at the Royal Court, the king is seen seated, ever so powerful as his gaze never leaving Kieran, as though trying to study his every move. Kieran walked elegantly towards the king, on getting there her bowed his head to the king and said you called for me your majesty.

The king kept his gaze steady on kieran and said another proposal came for you, are you willing to accept the proposal?

He asked with a still voice, although calm it could send shivers down anyone's spine buh not Kieran.

Kieran Is immune to the Kings coldness, cause regardless of the fact that the king is cold he loves kieran dearly and considers his opinion in affairs of his life.

No, father Kieran said nonchalantly, alright son he said as he turned to the guard called Declan, send a message back to Damaria rejecting the proposal.

No father Kieran screamed before Declan would take off, amused by his son sudden out burst he gestured Declan to wait.

Speak he ordered Kieran with a still voice.

I accept the proposal Kieran blurted out without thinking, the king stared at him as though trying to know what was going on in that head of his buh his face was expressionless, although the king could hear his heart beat loud and clear, he could sense a bit of excitement even though Kieran was trying his best to mask it .The King sighed out of frustration as that was the only thing he could deduce from the situation, although he was amused by Kieran's sudden out burst. He wants to know more.

You may leave the king said as Kieran walked out of the court room he told Declan to send a message to Damaria accepting their proposal ,

they should be expecting us seven sleeps from now and keep an eye on Kieran he . Declan bowed to the king saying yes my Lord. With that he took off.

Kieran's POV

We walked in silence, on getting to the court room Kai waited by the door as I walked in.

There my father was, seated ever so authoritative, his gaze on me as I walked towards him. I bowed in respect to the king, you called for me your majesty, I said....

Without tearing his gaze from mine he spoke....

Another proposal came for you are you willing to accept the proposal? His question came in like a bum as my demon struggled to break free.

No I said calmly trying to hide the rage in my voice buh I'm sure he heard it clearly.

He then he turned to Declan and said, send a message back to Damaria rejecting their proposal.

Wait did I just hear Damaria? or are my ears playing tricks on me? I asked myself.

No I screamed out without thinking as the king stared at me.

I accept the proposal I said in a calm voice trying to mask my excitement buh as usual the king could see through me, looking at me the king smiled and said.....

Kieran are you ready to settle down? why the sudden change of mind? Do you know the princess of Damaria ?

No father I don't know her I said, as he observed me for a split second before saying you may leave.

As I walked out of the court the king turned to one of the guards named Declan and said send a message to Damaria accepting their proposal and give words that they should be expecting us in seven sleeps from now.

Hearing this I couldn't help as my demon threatened to break free.

I managed to remain calm in the war against my demon.

On getting outside of the court room Kai was standing there with curiosity written all over his face.

Even though vamps have sharp hearings no vamp could hear into the court room the walls and doors of the room is built with a metallic acoustic panel designed to absorb sound vibration which prevents the conversation going on inside the court hard to hear even for vamps.

I'm getting married I said and Kai gave me a perplexed look.

Kai's POV

Standing in front of the court room I couldn't help buh pace back and forth, thinking hard within myself why the king summoned Kieran.

Was it because Kieran broke out of the palace walls?

Is his majesty going to punish Kieran?

Remembering the last time the king punished Kieran was heartbreaking for me.

I couldn't help buh wish I could hear what was going on buh the door is fucking sound proof, I sighed as the realization of me having to wait till Kieran was out to find out, was eating me up .

I stood there impatiently waiting as it seemed like time had stopped, buh waiting was all I could do. When finally the door suddenly opened and Kieran walked out, I stared at him searching for anything that'd give me a lead on what happened in the court room buh his face was as emotionless as ever.

I'm getting married he said, I looked at him unable to grasp what he just said.

I thought he wanted princess Zipporah."

Was his majesty making him get married? Why would he consent to it? I asked my self as confusion crossed my face.

As if reading my thoughts he said, I'll be getting engaged in the next seven sleeps.

Staring at him in disbelief I couldn't help buh wonder if he's the same person that lost control just by hearing that his little miss was getting married just a while ago.

Did he give up on her? I couldn't help it as my thoughts ran wild.

With that he walked away leaving me standing there with all curiosity. Why was he doing this to me? I couldn't help but wonder.

I then followed behind him in silence, he seemed to be calm and relaxed.

We walked in silence for a while, I couldn't take the silence anymore. I said, what kingdom is Gamaria making an alliance with he turned to me and I would have sworn I saw a smile buh just for a split second cause his face went back to it's expressionless state as I thought I was mistaken.

To Damaria, he said ever so calmly. I couldn't help it as burst into an uncontrollable laughter, so that's why he consented with it.

This is fate indeed I said unable to hide my thoughts my control myself. He turned to me and said you may leave and I noticed we've arrived at the door of his chambers, he walked in and closed the door behind him, I Sighed as I walked away.

On getting to my room laid down on my bed as I stared at the ceiling.

I hope princess Zipporah will be the one to melt his heart and make him the lively and loving kiaran he ones was before the death of the Queen his mother. I thought as I drifted into rememberance of how the Queen died and how Kieran changed into the monster he is, although it also affected the king it didn't break him as much as it broke Kieran.
