Chapter 3 The search

At the dark hours of the night a man in his late twenties is seen standing by the window as he observes the beautiful scenery of the Kingdom, how happy his people are as they partied all night long, he simply just stood there staring with a blank expression on his face. Kieran a voice pulled him out of his thoughts.

Kieran POV

Looking down at the people dancing laughing and chattering, happiness evident on their faces buh I couldn't understand why, what are they so happy about I thought to myself. My heart Is filled with darkness and nothing more, I couldn't help buh remember how hard it was for me to accept my demon.

The murderous impulse kicks in and I go on a killing spree unable to control my demon, I try my best to go deep into the woods where my demon can't hurt anyone, As I black out then I regain consciousness I see all the destruction I've caused, animals lying dead around me, I couldn't help buh wonder what's wrong with me, this curse could it ever be broken was what I always said to myself then my father the king told me to embrace my demon, that it's a big part of me buh I didn't want to, cause all my demon did was cause mayhem buh later I came to the realization that my father was right and my demon is a big part of me because regardless of how I tried to keep my demon at bay I was still feared by anyone I come across so why not live up the reputation? I and my demon are one.

I finally embraced my demon and life has been easier for me since then I no longer go on a killing spree, I became the monster that I am killing without guilt, I couldn't help as a dreadful smile curved on my lip as the these thoughts ran through my head, suddenly my mind drifted to that girl, who's she and why do I keep seeing her in my dreams, is she even real all this questions went through my head when I suddenly heard my name, I know it was Kai, he's the only one that calls me by my name. I sensed a presence at part from that of Kai as my murderous impulse kicked in, I moved and I was next to her in the next second, my eyes suddenly turned dark as my fangs elongated I inhaled her sweet scent as I buried my fangs deep into her neck, damn that taste, that sent it's intoxicating, I sucked every atom of blood from her body then I let her lifeless body fall to the ground. Kai stood there staring at me in bewilderment as I licked the blood trail on my mouth.

Kai's POV

When he gave me orders to find the girl in his dream I couldn't help buh frown, why's he so heartless to send me on such an errand, there are twelve kingdoms in the whole of Asteria and he gave me just forty eight hours to find her I'm to journey to all eleven kingdoms in search for an imaginary girl in just forty eight hours, a girl that visits him in his sleep, the only thing he could provide me with was a sketch of her face although she's pretty, I doubt she's real, Kieran just sent me on a wild goose chase I said to myself in frustration as I took with me some of the fastest and strongest vamps, I showed them the picture of the prince's imaginary girl I sent all ten of them to ten kingdoms while I went to Damaria, definitely she's not in Gamaria I said to myself as I ran through the woods towards Damaria, Damaria Is a two days journey that's if I took a horse, giving the time limit, I had to run with my legs which is way faster. I ran through the woods in a few hours I was in Damaria as I started my search it was already mid morning and I was determined to find her before sun rise, I searched every nook buh I couldn't find her and then I decided to search the palace buh I had to be careful so as not to be seen. Thanks toy vamp speed I was able to sneak into the palace undetected plus luck was on my side since it was mid morning and it was dark.

I wasn't sneaking because I was scared of getting caught, I could easily kill anyone that got in the way of my mission buh I choose not to just in case Kieran's imaginary girl was real and happens to be here, I wouldn't want to hurt her people. I continued the search buh I couldn't find her and the sun was up when suddenly I heard a voice coming from a room down the hallway, No it wasn't a bad dream it's just a crazy one, a girl from inside the room said, I couldn't explain buh I wanted to see who's voice it was buh I couldn't just walk into her room now could I? I said to myself as I was spotted by a guard he came towards asking me to identify myself luckily I was in an isolated place so I knocked him out and took his amor wearing it I walked just in front of the princess's room, standing not far away from the door I awaited her to leave her room. I waited on high alert for a long time when I finally heard her room door open she walked out, she's royalty I thought to myself as her face became evident to me wait she's the one I said to myself in bewilderment as she walked pass me, I need more information about her, I needed her name. I couldn't go back without a name plus I won't be living till sun down so why not gather as much information as I can, I said to myself with a wide smile on my face I stayed there luckily for me I have vamp hearing so I listened in on them as they are their break fast, Zipporah you're of age and it's high time you got married, when I heard that I panicked what would Kieran do when he finds out his girl is about to get married? I asked myself as the thought of what Kieran was capable of doing scared me, a few minutes later she ran into her room and broke down in tears not quite long her maid walked into her room trying her best to console her I couldn't help buh hear everything they said.

Later she came out of her room putting on a simple dress as she walked through the corridor with her maid next to her, I couldn't help following them out of curiosity as we arrived at the archery range, I was curious to see what this little miss is capable of doing. She picked up the bow and arrow, she shot it at the target she continued and she never missed not even once as her maid cheered her on, I watch in amusement, she's dangerous I said to myself with a smirk, what a match made in heaven I said as a the picture of them together popped up in my head, after a few hours she left the range and retired to her room, when she passed me I couldn't help buh stare in daze, her charismatic aura filled the place, couldn't help buh feel intimidated, there are only two people that made me feel that way, king Draco and Kieran, I thought to myself. I spent the rest of the day observing her.

It was finally sun down I said to myself as i quickly untied the guard I knocked out, he was still unconscious as I returned his amor and left the palace without being spotted. I ran as fast as I could cause I couldn't wait to inform Kieran on everything I got to know about his little miss , I couldn't help buh think about his out burst when he finds out his little miss is getting married soon, I thought to myself as I continued running. Few hours later I arrived at Gamaria as I entered the place I saw a beautiful maiden, I came to a halt. Kieran would need a form of distraction to keep his demon at bay before I dropped the bomb on him I thought to myself as i walked up to his room with the maiden next to me , she was brimming in excitement, getting to his room I saw him standing at his favorite spot lost in his own world, Kieran I called out and before I could register what was going on he grabbed the girl, buried his fangs in her neck and sucked her dry, this wasn't what I had in mind I said to myself as I tried to hide my perplexity as he let her fall to the ground.

Did you find her, he asked with an emotionless face as if not being bothered by just taking a life just right now,well he's Kieran and he lives up to his reputation as his cold aura covered the room , why was he suddenly interested in this girl, couldn't help buh think, what's their connection ,why does she appear in his dreams, there's definitely more to this and I plan to uncover it, I felt his piercing gaze as I snapped back into reality . Yes I said as I told him everything that happened I watched his facial expression closely, she'll be getting married soon I said as his face darkened buh just for a spilt second and it returned to it's emotionless state, out of curiosity I asked what are you going to do, he turned to me, anger evident in his eyes as he shot me a deadly glare I couldn't help it as shivers ran down my spine, I haven't felt this way around him in a very long time, I thought to myself as I tried to pull myself together. Why is he getting so agitated, just by hearing that she's getting married. The next thing I heard got my lost for words as I stared at him in horror.
