Chapter 2 The announcement

King lorenzo is seen standing in front of the court gathering, the kings of the seven kingdoms were seated but the atmosphere was tense as they all stared at king Lorenzo in bewilderment, then king Ethan of Zambodia stood up and said, buh king Lorenzo what do you mean by forming an alliance with Gamaria he asked perplexed, while the others began to murmur amongst themselves.

King Lorenzo has formed alliance with seven kingdoms which includes king Ethan of Zambodia, king Uriel of Damaris, king Kfir of shambhala, king Perry king of utopia, king oren of Agartha, king Uri of Lemuria, king Amir of Narnia, so far with great difficulties and he knows that it wouldn't be easy to form an alliance with king Draco of Gamaria buh he had to give it a try, no not just a try buh he has to give it all he's got cause he knows that forming an alliance with Gamaria being the most powerful kingdom in Asteria will give him more power to protect his kingdom and his beloved family and he was willing to do whatever it takes to form that alliance even if it meant marrying his daughter to that monster, he would. Deep down he knew that this would also ensure his daughter's safety, so he was willing to marry zipporah to prince Kieran that was how far Lorenzo was willing to go because of his love for his people and family, all he hoped for was that they accepted his proposal.

Gamaria has been the strongest kingdom in the whole of the twelve kingdoms of Asteria, history has it that any war against them is a lost war, and rumors has it that their prince Kieran was fifteen years when he started to lead an army to war he kills mercilessly without a flick of emotions in his eyes, he's fast, strong, powerful ,almost inhumane and he's always gone back victorious killing all his opponents so brutally, he takes s pleasure in hearing the screams of his opponents while fighting he takes his time in killing them so as to here them scream and beg for mercy which he doesn't give he torments his opponents like the devil in he battle field and give them a slow yet painful death, letting one go after series of torture and torment to spreed the news of the war, there are rumors that he's not human, he wears a mask when he fights an no one has ever seen his face except a few trusted men of his and his family, which was strange, there are rumors that no one in the kingdom has seen the royal family except a few trusted men, the royal family never comes out to address the people except for the king himself and the people doesn't seem to be bothered by it as long as they're protected and living well in peace and harmony, the celebration at Gamaria amongst it's people never seize,

King lorenzo's POV

Gamaria is the most powerful kingdom in the whole of Asteria and a time will come when Gamaria will raise war against my kingdom and they'd definitely win buh if our kingdoms are joined by marriage I don't have to worry about fighting with Gamaria and we all know that a war against them is a lost battle. I know, this is harsh on my daughter Zipporah buh she needs to understand that this is her obligation as the princess of Damaria to her kingdom buh if there was another way to form the alliance with Draco the king of Gamaria I would buh this happens to be the only way so I must take it for the safety of my people and to secure my position as their king, I don't want a situation where by Gamaria will defeat us and Imprison my people and that's why I'm doing this, I hope Zipporah will be able to forgive me. I know she thinks I don't love her and I care more about acquiring power than her happiness buh that's not the case, I'm doing this to secure her future, I love her a lot, which father doesn't love his own child buh sometimes our responsibility comes first, my love for her will make her weak and that's why I'm hard on her, I want her to understand that her kingdom comes first and I want her to know that being royalty simply means she has to neglect her own feelings, emotions and happiness for that of her people, I thought to myself buh I was drawn back to reality when Ethan suddenly said what do you mean by forming an alliance with Gamaria? I said with a cold gaze, you heard me Ethan I'm marrying Zipporah to prince Kieran of Gamaria. I just sent a message to Gamaria and I'm waiting for their response, I saw it fit to inform you not to ask for your opinion, Zipporah is my daughter and I know what's best for her, I said, so what's best for her is to marry her off to a monster Uriel king of Damaris said obviously feeling infuriated since he couldn't think of forming an alliance with Gamaria before I thought of it, resentment was evident in his eyes he said, as I tore him a deadly glare you're in no a position to talk king Uriel, after selling your daughter off to the king of Asteria who's three times her age just for power I said without sparing him a glance then I continued, I called you here to inform you about this and not to ask for your opinion as I said earlier she's my daughter and I can do whatever I want with her, plus prince Kieran is a young man and he's capable of protecting my daughter so I've made my decision. They were all lost for words as deep silence followed my last statement, when king Perry of utopia broke the silence, well king Lorenzo thanks for informing us we're pleased to have heard your wise decision concerning this matter we'll all anticipate the reply of your proposal he said with a smile and I simply just nodded.

In a few minutes the court was dismissed and everyone left as I waited in anticipation of the respond to my proposal. I left the court room and it was already time for dinner I went to the dining room and realized Zipporah wasn't there as I sat down, I thought to myself, Zipporah is normally late, so we all started eating we were done and zipporah didn't come for dinner this meant she slept without eating I couldn't help buh feel responsible,I knew It was indeed my fault, was I being too hard on her? No one day she'll grow to understand, I said to myself as I retired to my room.

I quickly went to take a hot water bath to calm my nerves, as I soaked in the water I couldn't help it as my thoughts ran wild, have they received my letter, are they considering my proposal, would they say yes or would they turn down my proposal, I stayed in the hot water for a while and retired to my bed as I saw my beautiful wife already sleeping I tried to sleep buh I was restless the whole night, anticipating their response .
