Chapter 5 Time For Vengeance

Alpha Bryon

"I was the Alpha of the Ash River Pack." I narrowed my eyes at her, that's simply unbelievable, I adjusted myself on my seat and then stared into her eyes.

"Excuse me?" I inquired just to be sure, I am not hearing things this time around.

"Yeah, you heard me right, I was the Alpha of the Ash River Pack."She repeated, maintaining eye contact with me, the bitterness in her eyes visible that even the blind could see through it.

"What happened?" I asked and she swallowed hard then adjusted the blanket on her body.

"A war broke out five years ago, the battle that wiped off my family, but in that tragedy, I found my completion or so I thought." A bitter smile spread across her lips as she leaned back on the wall

"He was a rogue when we met, I was supposed to kill him, he was an enemy but I couldn't, without a fear of the fact that he's an enemy to us, he walked towards me and right in front of my people he marked me." She looked down at the blanket as though it had the strength she needed to continue her story.

"That day was a happy sad moment in my life, I fell head over heels for the very first time in my life, and the word I thought would never exist began to sprout up its seed in my life. Trust me I regret the day I let myself get deceived in the name of love." Tears already clouded in her eyes but she didn't break eye contact with me.

"You know that stupid feeling called love makes you sacrifice even your life when you're supposed to be selfish. He told me my people are discriminating against him because they all know he was once a rogue. I wanted to make him happy." A smirk spread across her lips in self-pity and I narrowed my eyes, anticipating what she would say next.

"I transfer my life title to him, I bet my parents would be so ashamed of me wherever they are right now. I gave what took them years of labor to build to a man who doesn't even deserve his own life. Do you see how stupid I am?" She asks as sheet the tears slip down her cheeks running down to her neck.

"Yes, I see," I replied with gritted teeth, this is indeed the height of dementia and flakiness but then I'm in no position to judge her.

"Can you imagine that that same day, the person I thought loved me too, rejected me in front of my people that wasn't the end, he sent me to the omegas quarter, it felt so light to him that he also sent his men to get my head for him." She stared into my eyes, as tears dripped down her cheeks clouding her vision the more. She blinked away the tears and then used the back of her palm to wipe off the tears.

"Yes I know I was foolish but it's that my only crime? Was it that much of a crime to love blindly?" That must be a rhetorical question because if it isn't then I am certainly not in the position to give her the answer to that, after all I don't know what love is.

"He has succeeded in taking everything from you, so what do you plan on doing next?" I asked and she took a deep breath and looked anywhere but at my face

"You don't seem to have an answer to that?" I inquired after a few minutes.

She nodded and then I stood up and walked towards the window, looking down at the valley and the trees, the cold breeze sweeping through the room, ventilating it.

"You want him to live a fulfilled life after rendering yours without a root?"I inquired with a low voice but didn't get any answer from her.

"Melody, you're an Alpha, and Alpha isn't known to give up easily, fight for your throne. Make him pay for betraying you, make him cry for your forgiveness, he should crawl for your mercy, for disgracing you in front of your people, he should see how it feels too!" I let out, it suddenly felt like I was the one that had the story instead. The anger in my heart burning like brimstone, I want to rip that fool apart.

"He has to pay." She muttered and turned towards her immediately.

"I will make him pay." She let out with a determined and wounded voice.

"Good." I let out with a grin on my face.

"I want vengeance!" She let out loud and I couldn't believe my words could sprout her up that way, I love that spirit.

"You're not in this alone, I am here with you, we will make sure he regrets ever lifting a finger on you. " I assured her, her lips stretched into a smile, her beauty illuminating brightly.

"He can't make you suffer for your good deeds, for every minute he took to plot against you, he will pay, for every scratch on your body he will plead, for the base and the chagrin, I will make sure that even the birds will humiliate him." I let out with a folded fist and gritted teeth.

"We will avenge!" She let out with a strong resolution that made me boil in anger, who dare lay a hand on such an innocent soul, I take this battle upon myself, I don't care if I am bringing more enemies than I already have to myself.

Even if it requires me to send extreme emails for this, I will make sure he pays for this, in a manner he won't forget easily even in his death.

"All I need is for you to recover quickly because we need to engage your body in some training." I sat back in my seat and held her hands.

"The battle has just begun."I voiced out while maintaining eye contact with her.

"Time for vengeance." She added, matching my spirit and her determination building up my anger, that's exactly what I want.
