Chapter 7 Aston Martin Five-dollar Voucher

In the vehicle, the manager, seated next to the driver, courteously asked, "Mr. Sanderson, where to now?"

"Let's make a stop at Sunrise Flats to drop some items off," Conor answered, flashing a grin.

Sunrise Flats?

This destination caused the managers to look at each other in bewilderment.

They were unfamiliar with the name of this complex.

Nonetheless, prompted by Conor's directions, they soon pinpointed the location on a map in a navigation software - situated in the suburbs of Chasey.

Thirty minutes later, the sleek Rolls-Royce halted in front of an aging residential building.

The presence of such a luxurious vehicle in this modest neighborhood drew many curious eyes.

Yet, the onlookers kept their distance, merely observing.

Inside the car, the managers were visibly shocked.

What?

How could someone who throws money around like that end up living in a place like this?

Despite their curiosity, they maintained their composure and cheerfully said to Conor, "Mr. Sanderson, we've reached your destination. Which is your residence? We'd be glad to assist with your bags."

Right as Conor was about to respond, a chime interrupted.

"Ding!"

"Initiating Infinite Choice System..."

"Select option one - accept their help, and you will be rewarded with one hundred boxes of Cohiba Behike, the exceedingly rare and luxurious cigars."

"Go with option two - turn down their help, and you'll come out of it with nothing at all."

Hearing this, Conor couldn't help but question if the system truly thought that he lacked sense.

Anyone would choose the one with rewards.

"Thank you very much," Conor responded, his smile gracious.

"Ding! Congratulations to the host for selecting option one. One hundred boxes of Cohiba Behike cigars have been delivered to your room."

"It's truly our pleasure to help, Mr. Sanderson," the deputy manager said politely with a smile.

With that, they began unloading several hefty boxes from the vehicle.

The bystanders were left staring in wonder.

"Could this guy be some kind of big shot?"

"He looks so ordinary, though."

"You're missing the point. Some rich people just prefer the simple lifestyle."

"Let's drop the subject. We don't want to be caught gossiping."

Nobody around here recognized Conor, mainly because he had only moved in recently. On top of that, his job kept him out from morning till night, so he barely spent any time at home to begin with.

Climbing the old staircase, they reached a door plastered with old flyers.

This humble place was Conor's temporary home while he saved for a house.

Moreover, the place was far from his workplace, so he had to wake up at seven in the morning and wouldn't get home until midnight.

He worked tirelessly to provide the best life for Madisyn, but he hadn't expected her family to be such parasites, even wanting to take his house. It was simply a pipe dream!

Conor pulled out his key and unlocked the door, and the moment it swung open, the plain setup inside came into view. The two managers glanced at each other, their expressions hard to miss.

Could this really be his home?

Even if he aimed to experience a simpler life, this seemed a bit too far.

All of a sudden, a thought crossed their minds - what if Conor had borrowed the money just to put on a show for everyone?

Noticing their hesitation, Conor looked puzzled. "What's the matter? Please, come in. Don't be shy."

The two managers chuckled nervously and gestured with their hands, saying, "Actually, Mr. Sanderson, we just recalled we have an urgent matter to address, so we'll leave your items here."

"Oh, right, we're due at a meeting shortly."

Conor nodded, unsurprised by their excuse, and reached for two boxes of premium cigars from a nearby case, offering them to the managers.

"Then I won't hold you up. Please accept these cigars as a small token of my appreciation."

The managers were initially hesitant, but their eyes widened when they noticed the labels on the boxes.

Cohiba Behike...

These cigars were not just tobacco; they were treasures due to their scarcity.

Casually, he handed them two boxes!

Their eyes darted to the case from which the cigars had been retrieved.

What they saw left them stunned.

That entire case had nothing but cigars packed inside!

There had to be dozens of boxes stacked together!

That amount easily added up to several hundred thousand dollars!

Such cigars weren't merely expensive - they required special connections to acquire.

The realization hit them hard, as they understood the significance of owning such a collection.

They deeply regretted their fabricated excuse. Now, reversing their stance seemed impossible.

At this point, even if they had a change of heart, there was nothing left to keep them around.

With clear reluctance, each of them picked up a box of Cohiba Behike and quietly made their way out.

"If only we hadn't mentioned that urgent matter."

"Indeed, it was shortsighted of us. How could someone living here possibly be able to borrow millions? It must be his own money."

With a sigh and a final glance at the precious cigars in their hands, they drove off, pondering on what might have been.

Conor swiftly switched into a sharp suit and strapped on his Vacheron Constantin watch.

His transformation was striking, shifting from a typical programmer to a man of success.

Such changes in attire significantly altered perceptions.

Taking a moment to appreciate his new look, Conor stepped out and caught a taxi to Chasey Auto Mall.

He considered contacting Erick for this purchase, but eventually felt it unnecessary for something as straightforward as buying a car.

Upon his arrival at Chasey Auto Mall, Conor immediately overlooked any brands that offered vehicles for less than a hundred thousand.

The atmosphere and service noticeably shifted once the car prices climbed above that mark.

Conor eventually made his way to the Aston Martin dealership.

A professionally dressed saleswoman greeted him promptly. "May I help you with something today?"

"I'm looking to purchase a vehicle priced around four hundred thousand," Conor responded after a brief pause.

With nearly three million at his disposal, affording a four-hundred-thousand-dollar car was not going to strain his finances.

The sales associate, Milena Branson, lit up with excitement, her service becoming even more attentive. "Right this way, sir."

Milena had years of experience here.

A lot of people showed up to check out the cars, but the majority were either casually looking around or snapping group photos for fun.

Only a small handful seemed truly serious about making a purchase.

Even in a big city like Chasey, people with the money to actually buy an Aston Martin were still rare to come by.

Even though Conor hadn't confirmed his intent to buy immediately, cultivating a relationship with a prospective buyer was always beneficial.

"Here we have our most popular model. It's sleek, modern, and equipped with a 5.2T twin-turbo V12 engine that produces 600 horsepower. Prices start at three hundred thousand dollars, going up to four hundred thousand for the fully-loaded version," Milena said cheerfully, presenting him with a detailed spec sheet.

While explaining, she took the opportunity to assess Conor, paying particular attention to the Vacheron Constantin watch adorning his wrist, which only heightened her eagerness to assist.

Every now and then, she dropped subtle words aimed at him, but he never reacted or seemed the least bit affected.

Conor was not the type to be easily distracted by flirtatious gestures.

His focus stayed locked on the car parked not too far off in the distance.

"Let's cut to the chase. Can you handle the insurance and registration today? If so, I'm ready to purchase."

Milena quickly nodded and said, "Absolutely! As soon as you complete the payment, we'll have everything set up for the license plate right away."

At this level of dealership, processing registrations was routine.

"Then I'll take this one," Conor responded, handing his bank card to Milena.

For a moment, Milena was taken aback.

At first, she assumed that he was only there to look around, but he had actually come with every intention of buying a car.

And he was doing it with a level of luxury that caught everyone off guard!

Without even a test drive!

She quickly recovered, grasped the card, saying, "Please, take a seat. I'll sort everything out immediately."

"Could you hold on for just a second?" Conor called out as Milena started to walk away.

A sudden jolt shot through her chest as the worry crept in that he might have decided to back out.

But just as she was about to respond, her eyes caught Conor reaching into his pocket and pulling out a five-dollar voucher for an Aston Martin.

"I have this Aston Martin voucher that takes five dollars off the purchase," he said, holding it up with a slight grin.
