IN THE NIGHT
Ava came out of the toilet dripping wet, her eyes locked with Noah's own, who was staring at her with an intensity that made her heart race.
He was sitting on her bed, his eyes fixed on her with hunger that made her skin tingle.
"Well", he said, his voice low and husky, his eyes roaming over her body like a caress.
A goddess Risen from the shower.
Ava felt her face flush as she tried to grab a towel to cover herself, but Noah was too quick. He got up from the bed and walked towards her, his eyes never leaving her.
"You are sexy," he whispered, his breath hot against her ear, his lips pressing against her skin.
Ava's heart skipped when Noah wrapped his hand around her tender waist, pulling her close. His hand roamed her body.
She felt a shiver run down her spine as he kissed her neck, his lips sending shivers down her skin.
"You are eatable," he whispered, his finger tracing her body.
Ava felt herself melting into his embrace, her body responding to his touch.
She knew she was supposed to push him away, but she couldn't help herself. She was trapped in his eyes, his kisses making her feel weak.
Noah broke the hug, locking eyes with her again.
"You like that? Don't you?" he whispered.
"You like the way I make you feel?"
Noah smiles, widening his eyes, crinkling at the corners.
"I knew it; you like me. You are only pretending," he said, smirking, and Ava kept quiet.
With a final look, he turned and walked away, leaving the speechless Ava alone.
The door closed behind him, and Ava let out a sigh of regret.
She bit her lips; her eyes welled up with frustration.
"Why did she allow him? Why did she always let him get away with making her feel this way?"
She shook her head trying to clear her thoughts.
She shouldn't let him distract her because nothing can ever happen between them, she thought, wrapping towels around her body and feeling sad.
~
Noah walked to the living room, ignoring Ava, who was waiting for him.
"Why aren't you dressed yet?" She asks with a frown.
Noah scoffed, looking at her.
"And where the f**k did you think you were going dressed like this, huh?" Noah asks, ignoring her question.
"There is nothing wrong with my dressing, Ava said, checking herself out.
"Every damn thing you wear is wrong," Noah snapped at her.
"How's it your damn business with what I wear?" Ava yelled at him.
"It's my damn business because you are my stepsister, so get that straight into your f**king head," Noah retorted.
"I'm not changing it, and that's final." Ava stomped her foot.
"You want it in a hard way, right?" Noah asked, and Ava rolled her eyes.
"Fine, you asked for it," Noah said, and without thinking, he carried her.
Ava squealed in his arm, screaming.
He pushed the door to her room, dropping her down.
"You should put on something decent." He rolled his eyes.
"Stop acting like I am your girlfriend," Ava snapped at him, walking towards her closet.
Noah chuckled, ignoring her.
"Are you going to stand here and watch me dress? Ava asks, bashing her eyelids.
"Not like I haven't seen it," he said rawly.
~
"I'm done," Ava said, and Noah faced her, smiling
"Perfect, I love this dress," he said.
Ava rolled her eyes walking out of the room.
Noah bit his lips while staring at the way her butt was shaking in the dress she wore.
~
"Hello," Ava said, smiling at Paige.
"Awwwn, I thought you'd forgotten about me," Paige pouted.
"Nahh," Ava said, cupping her cheeks.
"I never knew you'd ditched me for her," someone said behind them.
"Oops, it's not what you think," Paige said .
The girl rolled her eyes, and Ava chuckled.
"I'm Mia, by the way," the girl smiled .
"Am Ava..."
"Mia, Ava, wow, perfect name," Mia said, cutting her off.
"Isn't that the girl that came out of Noah's car?" Monica asks, pointing towards their direction.
"She is just some random girl; forget about her," Sophia said uninterestedly.
~
"You should have seen the way
boys were staring at Your sister" Reed said talking nonstop.
Noah just stood like a statue without replying to him.
"Why aren't you saying anything?" Reed asked, looking at him, and Noah sighed, walking away.
"Have I said anything wrong?" Reed asks, confused.
"Hi," a random girl said beside him while holding a flower in her hand.
"For you," she said, stretching it towards him.
"Really?" He asks for collecting it from her.
The girl blushed, looking at him closely.
Reed inhaled the flower, and a smirk appeared on his face.
"It smells like your period; it yucks," he said, throwing it away.
The girl's face fell, feeling sad, and she quickly covered it with a smile.
"I'd give you another one; that's if you don't mind?"
"Buzz off, because your sights alone irritate me," Reed said coldly, and the girl ran out in tears.
~
"Ava!" Ethan called, waving at her, and Ava halted, hugging him surprisedly.
Ethan was shocked at first but was quick to get over it, reciprocating back.
She broke the hug, and Ethan stared at her, not blinking his eyes.
"Why are you staring at me like that?" She raised her brow.
"I think you have to see the doctor," Ethan replied solemnly.
"But nothing is wrong with me; I am okay," she said fearfully.
"Because you have beauty all over your face," he snickered.
"OMG!" Ava screamed, covering her face, feeling overwhelmed.
~
Noah stood on his tract, ears dropping on their conversation.
He folded his fist together as different thoughts ran through his mind.
"She's even smiling, something she has never done, and now she's smiling at him and not just anybody but him, ETHAN," he thought.
If looks could kill, Ethan would have been under 6 ft by now.
"Why are ears dropping on their conversations?" Sophia asks, hugging him from the back.
"What brought you here?" Noah asked instead, and Sophia pouted.
"I miss you; don't you understand?" she said, disengaging from the hug.
"Who is she, by the way?" She asks, looking at Ava.
Noah gave Ava and Ethan one last look, heading out while ignoring her question totally.
"Noah! Noah!!" Sophia yelled, following him.
~
"Why are you being moody?" James asks, sitting beside Rachel.
"I am worried," she replied.
"About what exactly?" James asks, wrapping his hand on her waist.
"Our children, she replied gloomily.
"Nothing is wrong after all; they aren't a kid; they can take good care of themselves," James assured, kissing her neck.
"Stop!" Rachel whined, removing his hand.
James wrapped his hand on her waist again, pinning her on the bed. He ran kisses all over her face, making her giggle.
"Your hubby needs you now," James muttered, spanking her naughtily.
~
The drive back home was silent between Noah and Ava, and now they've gotten home, and it is still awkward between them.
Noah was about to head to his room when Ava blocked him, standing in an akimbo position.
"What?" He raises his brow.
"Why are you silent? You didn't even talk to me when we were in the car," Ava asked.
"Wow! Noah grinned.
"I never knew you liked me this much," he smirked.
"I...I... no," Ava cracked.
"C'mon, admit it and stop being a hard girl," he said, taking a step closer.
"No, don't come near me," Ava rushed, stepping back.
"And what if I don't? What will you do? Probably you'd grab me and kiss me," he said bluntly, leaning close to her.
Ava shifted back, her back hitting the wall, and a smirk appeared on Noah's face.
Ava's phone rang in her hand, and Noah frowned.
"Give me your phone," he said.
"For what? She stuttered fearfully.
Noah snatched the phone from her, and he chuckled dryly when he saw the caller.
"So this arsehole has your number," he said.
"Give me back my phone because it's not your business; I own it," Ava said confidently.
"We would see about that," Noah said, smashing the phone on the floor, and it broke into pieces.
"No! No!!" Ava screamed, crying.
Noah watched her cry with a sardonic smile on his face.
