"Yes," Ava replied.
"What department are you?" Paige queried.
"Management science," Ava answered.
"Wow, same department!" Paige squealed, dragging Ava along with her.

"You didn't tell me your sister is damn cute? Reed whispered to Noah.
"You are free to do anything you want with her," Noah said.
"I haven't seen your twinny today," Reed said with a smirk, and Noah glared at him icily.
"Sorry, I don't mean to..." Reed said, laughing.
Noah's phone beeped, and he saw a notification from his dad.
"I AND YOUR STEPMOM ARE GOING OUT AND WON'T BE BACK UNTIL NEXT MONTH, SO TAKE GOOD CARE OF YOUR SISTER."
He hissed out before pocketing his phone.
"Who sent you a message? Reed queried.
"My dad", Noah muttered.
~
"You are a chatterbox for real. Ava groaned tiredly, and Paige grinned at her.
"You've got to get used to it," she said, touching Ava's hair, making her hair ribbon loose in the process, and falling down.
Ethan, who was passing by, bent down, picking it up.
"Have it," he said, stretching the ribbon to Ava.
"Thank you," Ava said, collecting it from him.
"What's your name?" Ethan asks her without taking his eyes off her beauty.
"Ava," she replied, feeling uncomfortable with the way he was staring at her.
"Nice name," he said, stretching out his hand for a handshake.
"Who gave you the right to talk to her? Noah's voice boomed from the back with a murderous look.
"And what right do you have to stop her from shaking me?" Ethan fired at him.
"Go to the car," Noah said, still glaring at Ethan.
Paige gave Ava a signal to leave, but Ava, being the stubborn type, didn't move an inch.
"Why?" she asked instead, ignoring Paige completely.
"Don't question me and move," Noah yelled at her.
"I'm not moving an inch from this damn place," Ava said stubbornly, and Ethan grinned from where he was standing.
"I'd advise you to leave or.....".
"Or what? You can't order me around; moreover, I know you don't like me, but you should at least give me the right to make new friends and stop acting like a bossy pants, she said plainly.
~
"I am sorry with the way he behaved towards you," Ava apologised.
"It's fine; I'm not angry," Ethan replied with a smile.
"You are cute, though," he told her, and Ava's cheek turned red instantly.
"Thanks," she mumbled shyly.
"Who's he to you?" Ethan asked with a serious look, and Ava was taken aback by his question.
"Should she tell him he's her stepbrother or not?" she thought inwardly.
"He is my friend," she told him.
"Are you sure he is just a friend?" Ethan asked.
"Trust me, he's just a friend," Ava assured with a smile.
"So, can we be friends?" He asks, smiling back at her.
"Of course, we are friends already," Ava said, and Ethan felt a different feeling inside him.
~
"Stop acting like a bossy pants!" The words kept ringing in Noah's ear as he puffed out his smoke aggressively.
The door opened, and Ava entered; she rolled her eyes at him entering her room, and a smirk appeared on Noah's face.
~
Ethan remembered all that transpired earlier, and a smile appeared on his face.
"So cute," he muttered.
The door opened, and Mrs Thompson entered.
"Why are you here?" Ethan asks coldly.
"You should hear me out first, she begged, walking closer.
"I'm not ready to listen to any of your words."
"You should understand your dad...."
"Mom leave when I am still nice," Ethan said calmly.
"Fine, you know I love you, right?" Mrs Thompson said, and Ethan scoffed.
"Go and love your husband instead," he said, pushing her outside and locking the door in her face.
