Chapter 2 Leaving The Past Behind

ELENA'S POV

"Elena, Elena". I heard someone call my name several times, but I refused to answer because I felt sleepy and tired, so I acted like I was still deeply asleep. But the voice wouldn't stop calling as I ignored the call and focused on having more rest. The voice called me severely and came closer. She was about to tap me before I woke up slowly.

"Mom, I really need some rest. I didn't have any last night. "Can I still have some rest please?" I said.

"Darling, I would disagree with this. "Okay, we have to get ready as soon as possible, so as soon as his driver came to pick us up, we would have already been prepared," she said.

"But can't I at least take another thirty minutes' rest? "I'm exhausted", mom" I said.

"My darling, I don't think so okay. "You know that you can sleep like a baby when you get there okay anyhow you want, okay nobody would get to disturb you okay just prepare fast so we can get there on time, and you can sleep as you want okay, so what do you say" she said.

"Just to make it fat", I am going to take my bath and prepare for the new house. I really need some rest. You know that I have exams and promotion exams. That's why I couldn't sleep last night, mom. I would get ready so we could get going immediately.

I woke up so tired because I really didn't have a good sleep. Not only that, but I read my books all night because I knew fully well that our upcoming exam would be a very tough one, so I had to read well so I could make it to the next level of my education. Likewise, I was exhausted and found it really challenging to stand up from my bed, but I was forced by my mom to wake up early so we could prepare fast and go over to our new home as she claims. I wasted no time in getting ready, so, as my mom, I noticed that she was really engaged and found it exciting to move to a luxurious house and a rich family, but I found it tedious because all I may gain from the wealth is just support. If possible, I would have one. I have doubts that I will be treated like an outcast in the family. I have watched so many movies when this experience happened, so I think it would have no difference to me, so I have double minds to choose. I really don't know whether I could just stay at home or follow my mom. I promised to always trust and love my mom, so I wouldn't do anything to make her feel sad.

"Are you done, my darling?" My Mom asked.

"Mom, are you for real? "I have waited for you for like about twenty minutes, so I think we should call the driver to come and pick it up right away" I said.

"Okay my dear, I have already sent him a location. "He will be here soon". "Okay", you have nothing to worry about jaw exercise some patient okay he will be here with a twinkle of eyes," she said.

"Okay mom, I would just have to go to the garage and wait for him to come okay." Not quite long after I left for the garage, I heard a horn on the gate, so I rushed inside to go call my mom.

"Mom, I think the driver is here," I said.

"Okay, I will go and check if it's him okay. "Just get things ready, just in case", she said, and left.

I followed her quietly because I was really curious to know what was going on and if truly it was the driver so until I heard a thick voice conversing with mom. " Good day Madam, I was sent to you by my boss, Mr. Madison Sparks," he said.

"Oh, are you the driver sent by him to come pick us up? Okay, we were already patiently waiting for you, so I think we are good to go. Okay, I would go call my daughter so we can start going", my mom said. Immediately, I heard her footsteps coming towards the direction where I hid myself. I made haste and quickly ran out through the back, pretending as if I were still inside the house. "Mom, was it the driver ?" I asked.

"Yes, it's him hurry to get your luggage in the room. "Let's leave her", let's fade bye to these trenches, okay" she said. I looked at her in an annoying way because we both knew what we faced at the beginning before we made it to this place, and now she has the courage to call her trenches.

"I would go get my bag immediately" I said, and rushed to get my luggage. I found it no fun to be excited that I would be moving to a new home like I would be being a mayor's son. I just had to go at least to change my financial condition, but it was really no fun for me, but I had to listen to my mom.

"Hurry Elena, what were you doing inside the room for like up to ten minutes is something bothering you" my mom said.

"I just can't bear to leave here. You know, this is my home, so I would really miss it. "Okay, I can't just leave like that, okay, I am deplorable about it", I replied.

"Don't worry, okay you will come to overcome all this. Okay, you just have to

focus. Okay, let's leave here immediately. The driver has been waiting for a while now. "Okay", we don't have to get anyone upset today. "You know it's something we both should be happy about", okay, let's get going immediately," she said. I nodded to her in a frowning face and entered the car with her. Really, it has been a while since I last entered this beautiful car like this. I was delighted to be in this type of luxurious car.

"Mom," she looked at me. " I think this man is really rich from his driver's car. "I think he is really rich, I have to confess," I said.

"I know you would like it, let's just keep quiet and get to our destination okay" Mom said.
