I snapped out of my trance, hurrying immediately behind him.
If I had thought outside was scary, inside was even more frightening and luminous.
We passed through dark passages that had huge stone creatures lining the walls.
We kept going inside and I was beginning to fear Mr. Kyrios real intentions.
"What if he was planning to kidnap me or worse use me for ritual, and he had been so certain that I wouldn't tell anybody where I was, and considering his reputation in school, nobody was going to suspect him
I did the sign of the cross, hoping that would save me.
"Where are we going Sir, uhmm Mr. Kyrios." I asked, finally gaining enough courage to find my voice.
I cleared my throat slightly, noticing my voice wasn't coming out how I wanted it to.
"You will see", he replied to me briefly, not stopping at all to look at me.
I brought out my phone from my bag, hoping to send a text to my friends, hoping that at least they would know where to find me.
Noticing the network was terrible and my message wasn't going to reach them, I resigned to my fate, deciding to put my phone back in my bag, my hand mistakenly hitting my flash button, making me regret the action immediately.
The statue that hadn't felt so scary looked very evil and menacing as they glared down at us.
I dropped my phone in fear blocking my ears from the sound the impact would make, surprised that no sound was leaving my mouth.
I opened my eyes slightly wondering why I hadn't heard my phone shattering, when I saw Mr Kyrios in front of me, holding on to the phone with smile marks all over his face which gave the fact that he was trying hard to hold his laughter .
"There's nothing to be scared of Miss Sophia", "now follow behind me and don't act anymore drama." He said, handing me my phone then turning to continue his walk.
We continued our movement in silence, my head bent forward, stopping when I heard My Kyrios stop, almost bumping into him.
I lifted my head slowly wondering what had made him stop.
I opened my mouth in wonder, astonished at the sight in front of me.
Rows after rows lay books, arranged in such a way that looked beautiful.
Each book section went up into the sky and I was beginning to wonder how anybody could reach it.
"My library Miss Sophia", "where I come to relax, rejuvenate and spend time. Mr Kyrios said, ending my thoughts.
"Oh!", "those", he said following my eyes,
"There's a robot that reaches there to get those books, " he said, then pressed a button.
I watched as a robot emerged from nowhere, going to the highest shelf, bringing out a book, handing it to Mr. Kyrios, then disappearing from where it had come.
"It's been long since I last saw this book", "Can we start Miss Sophia?".
He turned to face me, gesturing to a seat. Then he pressed another button and the spot that had once been filled with books, cleared to expose a massive white board.
We started from the basics, progressing gradually and after 5 hours of intense tutoring, I was certain that I was going to be a math prodigy once we were done with the class.
"That's all for today Miss Sophia". He said suddenly, looking exhausted.
"Oh". I said, feeling sad that the class was coming to an end.
Weird enough, I was enjoying every bit of the class. It was different and he could always go back whenever I needed without me having to feel bothered about the crowd.
"What would you like to eat?", Mr. Kyrios suddenly asked from his seat.
We had left the library with me still being a little frightened from the interior and we were driving back to school because we had both agreed it would be best for me.
"Mac 'n cheese". I responded, paying attention to my rumbling stomach. I had been thinking of what I was going to eat and was happy to be able to put that thought aside.
He changed route, pulling into De Luca Cucina and Bar.
I had always seen the place but never had the chance to go there.
Mostly because I was always looking for fast food and was certain I couldn't sit in a restaurant for long.
"I am sorry Miss Sophia" "but they don't sell mac 'n cheese here.
"Hope you wouldn't mind eating something else". He asked, finding a spot to park then alighting.
"No I wouldn't", ", I muttered to myself watching him enter the restaurant.
The smell of freshly baked pizza and everything good invaded my nostrils as soon as I stepped into the building.
I scanned my surroundings looking for Mr. Kyrios, walking to where he was seated when I had spotted him.
The building was beautiful and looked like their stuff would be really expensive.
A place Leo would love to be in. Leo suddenly popping into my mind made me feel guilty that I hadn't thought of him throughout the time I had been with Mr. Kyrios and suddenly I felt like I was committing a crime.
And to make things worse, this place gave off the vibes of being on a date. I nudged myself inwardly, reminding myself that we were only getting food because we were hungry and there was nothing weird about it.
I finally made my way to where Mr. Kyrios was, sitting down at the only available seat which was the seat directly facing him.
He smiled at me, pointing at the menu.
I diverted my gaze, trying hard to concentrate on the food that was displayed on the card.
I had forgotten how incredibly attractive this man was and sitting this close was distracting which brought back that feeling of guilt.
It definitely did feel like we were on a date and I didn't like it.
Although I knew I was only just overthinking. Not like I was planning to date my lecturer.
