Chapter 3 Start all over

Jasmine's POV

That was how I was dragged from my home, the only place I was ever familiar with, no matter how I called and cried to Kieran, he didn't spare me a glance as they continued the mating ceremony while I was pulled like a criminal for loving the wrong person.

So many questions filled my heart; can the moon goddess be wrong? I was mated to Kieran and we consummated our love and relationship, was the moon goddess wrong?

"Ouch!" I groaned in pain when one of the guards pushed me aggressively further into the forest. I have never been so far from the Pack before. Tears rolled down my cheeks as I tried to plead with them to let me be already.

It was getting dark and I don't know what I would do if it gets really dark. I heard there are rogues on the other side of the Pack, here in this forest. I was beginning to shiver from fear as I looked around,

"Please, I promise to hide, no one will know I am still in the Pack" I cried but the guards pushed me hard causing me to fall down.

When I turned, I saw that they were leaving, they were going, leaving me here. My heart raced as I called and cried,

"Please, don't leave me here" I stood up, ready to go to them but the moment they turned back at me, I staggered back.

"Do not step your feet ever again in this pack!" One of them yelled

"You should be glad that the Luna and the queen didn't do worse by embarrassing you and performing the ritual first on you!" Another spat.

"But... but... I can't stay here... I'll be dead before day break" I shivered, wrapping my hands around my body.

"That's the idea" one of them stated and they all burst into laughter. Tears continued to roll down my cheeks.

"Please..." My voice broke

"You are hereby banished from the Thorne Pack, Omega, and are now labeled a rogue!"

My eyes grew wide as I stared in shock, my palm slapped my mouth covered as I shook in pain. Squatting down, I cried with trembling lips, it clearly dawned on me that I had been tagged a Rogue. I can no longer go into the Pack. I'll be stoned, killed, and humiliated.

I didn't know how long I remained there, crying, but I heard a sound and stood up in shock. My eyes were wide as I looked into the darkness, I could hardly see a thing. The sounds continued again and I took a few steps backwards.

"Lisa, can you hear that?" I asked my wolf but she didn't respond. I gulped as fear enveloped me and I felt my legs shaking.

The sounds began to increase and it was as if something was coming towards me, I didn't think twice before turning on my heels and running for it.

Rogues

It has to be, they are the ones in the woods, never allowed into any Pack but abandoned like I am now. I remembered Elara saying there were some that ate others, especially the females.

Not only was I a female, but I was new so clearly they won't know me or care who to ask. With all the strength I could summon, I ran like my life depended on it because it actually does.

"Oh, goddess!" I exclaimed in fright when I heard the loud growl behind me. They were more than one. I tried to shift into my wolf form, but I couldn't get through to her. What the hell was going on? She was the only one who got rejected! I was too but if she doesn't respond, I won't be the only one who would die, she will too!

"Please, goddess, help me make it through the night," I cried but I didn't get to cry for long before I was attacked from behind.

I fell flat on my stomach, my face hit the ground so hard, and was dragged that I knew I would have wounds on my face.

"Ahhh!" I yelled and tried to get up but a large pawn landed on my back.

"Please, please, don't kill me. Please... I just want to go home" I cried but I felt the wolf lowered his head and sniffed me. I closed my eyes, thinking this was where I would be eaten but I heard someone say,

"That's enough, Felix. She can't bite"

I sighed in relief when the wolf removed his feet from my back and nudged me with his head to stand. My face was covered with both dust and tears, I looked at them but it was too dark I couldn't see them clearly.

"Thank you" I whispered but was greeted with a disappointed reply,

"Don't be thankful yet. We still don't know what our king would do with you"

My eyes widened, "King?" I asked and he replied, folding his hands across his chest, "Yes king, the Rogue king"

My eyes widened, I had heard too much about this particular king

"Your... Your..."

"Yes, yes" the man replied and I gasped.

I looked at the man who was resting on a tree lazily and the two wolves that were on the other side, I could run. If I ran, they wouldn't be able to catch me on time. With this thought, I quickly turned again to the left and began to run. Anywhere but here is better. I can't go to the Rogue King; I would rather die in the woods.

He is not a King; he is a beast, a monster, inhumane.

Before I could take up to ten steps, I got hit so hard on the head and fell like a log of wood to the ground.

"You actually think you can run?" I heard the man's voice before I gave into the darkness wondering if I would ever open my eyes or if I would meet the moon goddess the next time I open my eyes.

The next time I opened my eyes I saw the most beautiful face I have ever seen. His blue eyes stared right back at me.
