Chapter 2 Heartbreak

Jasmine's POV

"Kieran..." my words came out in a whisper as I watched him stretched his hand for Elara to take. She was dressed, she was dressed more beautifully. Wasn't she suppose to be in the pack bar?

Everyone was cheering, although I could hear the cry of some ladies around as they weren't picked but... me? I was... it's suppose to be me. what the fuck happened?!

"Kieran..." My words kept coming out as a whisper. How is this even possible? Before my eyes, I watched Kieran kiss Elara and they did that in front of me. tears rolled down my cheeks as it suddenly began to dawn on me that I wasn't dreaming neither was I imagining things.

But how?

The anger within me and even from my wolf made me for the first time in my life speak up,

"Kieran, Elara, what's this?" I asked, my voice loud enough to raise the dead. The crowd went quiet, I forced myself to move closer to them. My heart was beating so fast in my chest but who the fuck cares?!

How can they do this to me?

"Oh, Jasmine, you're still here?" Kieran questioned with his lips tugged up, my eyes widened in confusion.

Am still here? What does that mean?

"Kieran, what's going on?" I stammered.

"Kieran, I thought I asked you to tell her already?" Luna Greer asked Kieran and my breath seized. She knew? She knew that her son and I are in a relationship?

All these while, Elara remained beside Kieran like a glue, she didn't move or speak to me. All she did was act as if we didn't know each other.

"I forgot, mom" Kieran said to his mom.

Forgot what?

Kieran came down from the stage with Elara beside him, he walked up to me and said,

"Jasmine, you're a nice lady but... Elara, she's the one I love"

I shook my head, no, no. They don't even like each other. Whenever we are together, Elara is always disgusted. She had told me several times to break up with Kieran, how come they love each other now?

"And Elara loves me too" Kieran confessed and I looked at Elana. Her loving eyes were staring at Kieran. Even with them together before me, I still couldn't believe it because they always hated each other.

Elara is my roommate, best friends, number one fan and my only family. As an orphan and an omega, she has been the only one I had since I knew myself. How could she do this to me?

"Elara?" I called and the Luna yelled from the stage.

"Oh come on, Kieran, reject her and let's get this over with. The entire pack is waiting for you. You don't expect us to be waiting for an omega before you crown your Luna, do you?"

My heart squeezed in my chest, my throat dried as I watched with wide eyes. This is not how I imagined the day to go, this is not...

"I, Kieran Troy Thorne, Alpha of the Thorne Pack, reject you, Jasmine Roman as my mate. I do not have anything to do with you and never will"

No, no, no

Tears rolled down my cheeks, my breath uneven as I felt the mate bond break and it was ten times more painful than I heard especially when we had shed sexual moments together before. I held my chest as I wept in pain. I fell to the ground and began to gasp for air.

The next time I raised my head, it was to Kieran confessing his love to Elara. I could see the smirk on her lips as she looked at me, she betrayed me, they both did.

"How long?" I asked, my voice low. Only I could hear myself. Until I finally screamed at the top of my lungs,

"How long have this been going on?!" I yelled so loud interrupting whatever they were doing.

"What is she still doing here?" Elara asked, her voice icy. She looked at me with a deadly looks before she opened her mouth,

"Guards!"

Guards? On me?

Before I knew it, some guards came to me and grabbed me,

"Elara?" Everything was like a dream before my eyes. I watched her walk closer to me with her purple gown flowing behind her then she whispered into my ears,

"It's been exactly one year now. Since you refuse to give him what he wanted, I volunteered---"

"I gave him, I---"She cut me off,

"You were too late, and what were you expecting? That an Alpha will choose an omega over someone like me? Come on, Jasmine. The Luna role fits me well"

"Elara, I trusted you..." Tears rolling down my cheeks,

"You still can. Now, it's either you sit down quietly and watch me get married to my Kieran or you misbehave and get banished"

"You can't do this to me? I am your sister!" I yelled. Angry and hurt by her words, she wants to banish me? How dare she? Who gave her the right?

"You are no sister of mine but I can do you the honour of watching me get married. Sit her down, make sure she's watching"

The guards pushed me forcefully to seat on the chair; I struggled but couldn't get out of their strong hold. There was a look of adoration in Kieran's eyes as he watched Elara walk up to him. Did he ever even love me?

Right before my eyes, I watched them get married and Elara crowned Luna. I watched them share a kiss and were both announced Alpha and Luna, my heart ached. I struggled to get up and get out as I didn't want to watch anymore.

"Sorry, we can't allow you leave until the Luna ask us to"

I looked at Elana, she smiled at the crowd before saying to them, "My first task as the Luna is to help you all get rid of unwanted members in this pack. Pack members that add nothing to the pack and are only pest." She looked at me with a smirk,

"Please help me get rid of Jasmine, make sure she's out of the pack for good."

"What? Where will I go?" I literally screamed as my world flash before my eyes.

"We don't care" Luna Greer said as she stood up, "You heard your Luna, guards, walk her out of the pack"

I looked at Kieran, hoping he would say something, hoping he would do something but he didn't. All these while, he didn't say a word.
