Chapter 1 A deal

Have you ever uttered a word you never intended to in front of terror, and the words backfired a hundredfold? Yup... that's me right now in front of Alpha Leonardo, whose terrifying eyes were just piercing through my soul, causing my heart to race in panic.

I always knew my sharp tongue would get me in trouble someday, and yes, it did. A very mighty one at that. And right now, I hope I won't be killed alongside my father, when the reason for running my tongue was to save his life from the beast; Alpha Leonardo.

Alpha Leonardo moved a little further in me, his hand grabbed my jaws as he pressed into them with his sharp claws. His face contorted into a scowl. "I can see you have quite a keen tongue. It will be my honor to slash it in little pieces," he flung my face to the side, and my neck snapped. "Bring the fool over here, and cut off his hand for stealing my money," Alpha Leonardo ordered.

And his mobsters suddenly descended on my father.

"What kind of Alpha treats his subject like a piece of shit, just because of thirty thousand dollars? You should lower your face in shame!!" I roared at him, tears replenishing my eyes. My words sounded like a death wish to me.

Alpha Leonardo's arms outstretched as a signal in the direction of his mobsters- palm out. "Let go of the dirty thief," he ordered once again, and his aggressive mobsters tossed my father's arms away.

His blazing gaze found me. And a little smile played on his lips as he slowly walked up to me. placing his finger under my chin, lifting my face, "Seems this precious little thing loves to play brave. How well can you play the game of chess?" His finger trailed to my collarbones.

My heart raced faster like it was about to explode. My legs trembled as I fought to hold them back from falling, sweat glistening on my forehead and chin. I couldn't tell what I was doing, confronting the deadly Mafia Boss. But I hope today won't be my last day on earth.

"Just spare my father's life, I promise we will sort out your money," I stuttered, forcing the words out of my mouth.

The corners of Alpha Leonardo's mouth curled up, revealing his teeth. His eyes furrowed at the sides, creating a web of fine lines that seemed to radiate evil. His smile was cold. "I don't forgive my enemies. The only way you can save your father is if you strike a deal with me."

Slowly he leaned forward, his lips closer to my ear sending a chill down my spine as he cruelly whispered, "Be my pet for one year in exchange for your father's freedom." His husky voice sounded menacing.

Pulling away, I noticed the evil desires that filled the eyes of this beast.

My sights darted toward Father who balled his shivering body on the cold floor in fear, bruises all over him. I knew my father had a disgusting habit of gambling, but he didn't deserve to die.

Yes, my father stole from Alpha Leonardo, and had also stolen from a lot of people. But this time, it was for a good cause. Mother was dying, and we needed money for her heart surgery.

It was an urgent issue, and Father had no money because he'd gambled away all of it, which he'd left Mother and me in abject poverty. My father had stolen from everyone; neighbors, coworkers, family members, and even from Mother.

Mother's illness came in at the wrongest of times. I mean, there wasn't a perfect time for illness but this time was the worst. There was no money for drugs let alone a hospital bill. How do we afford money for heart surgery, when we can't afford a square meal?

I had to drop out of school just to raise money for Mother's health. A lot of places I went to look for jobs denied me access cos I wasn't of working age. We didn't have anyone who could help us.

What would a 17-year-old Omega like me do in a lonely world? I was not in support of my father stealing, but for this course, I applaud him.

Right now I'd have to make a terrible decision that would send me to hell, just to save my father. I know for a fact if my father dies, Mother will eventually join him. That was how close their mate bond was.

Taking a second look at the beast who stood in front of me with a gleeful smile playing on his lips, I never imagined that 'I, being his pet,' would be his request in exchange for my father's life.

You see this beast in front of me, he was the worst of his kind.

Alpha Leonardo was the Alpha of our pack but everyone hated and feared him.

We've heard rumors of how he had killed a lot of people, just like his late father who was also a gangster. Alpha Leonardo was born into a mafia home. After the death of his father, he took over as the Alpha of our pack- the Silver Lake Pack. And was also made the Mafia Boss of his cold-blood-sucking family. However, he is young.

I heard a lot of high-level she-wolves wanted him as a lover, and were ready to do anything just to have him. I used to doubt the possibility of them being obsessed with Alpha Leonardo, until the first time I set my eyes on him at the marketplace.

He had the perfect height, 6ft tall, well-structured face with a chiseled nose. His brown eyes were so beautiful that I almost mistook him for a beautiful lady. His body frame was also perfect; athletic-like.

I'd never seen a man so perfectly created by the Goddess. But his personality spoiled it all. He was ruthless and merciless, prideful and arrogant. A disgusting beast, who had zero regard for his subjects.

Everyone detested him, and I was the front-runner. My hatred for him grew after the incident at the marketplace when his mobsters knocked down an old lady, and none could open their dirty mouths to speak kind words of apology.

Alpha Leonardo walked past me that day, as I held the old lady, helping her to her feet. He had an evil, vicious smile on his face, the same one he has right now in front of me.

I gulped down the lump in my throat, fixing my eyes back on Alpha Leonardo. "I will do whatever you desire of me, but make sure not to touch another strand of hair on my father's body."

He maliciously chuckled but his smile faded into a smirk in an instant, "Get her father's ticker." He ordered a mob, who opened a briefcase and brought out a white paper, handing it to him.

Alpha Leonardo grabbed my thumb finger, piercing a sharp object into it, which sent a very intense pain to my veins. The tears in my eyes gushed down my cheeks. A little blood sprinted out from my thumb, and he forcefully pressed it on the side of the paper that had my father's name written on it.

"Our contract is sealed," he coldly uttered and flung my thumb away. His face snapped in the direction of his mobster. "You can untie her old man," he lazily instructed.

My stare sprinted back at Father. I made to rush toward him but noticed a hard pull from the side.

Before I could say a word, my feet left the ground. My midriff was placed on the right shoulder of Alpha Leonardo, my legs dangling in the air. As he stormed away from our tiny house with me hanging on his shoulder.

I struggled to break free, but he suddenly tossed me into the backseat of his car, slamming the door shut, and I jerked in fear.

Alpha Leonardo fixed his ass in the front seat and his driver drove off without uttering a word.

It was at this instant a realization hit me that I'd fucking dragged myself into hell.
