Chapter 6 Painful past

Dave was driving home when he noticed a billboard showcasing Celine, She was announced to be the new Director of the "Silver Key" music industry.

He curled his lips, smiling faintly. Let me pay her a little visit, he said as he drove away in full speed. The rain was pouring heavily, Dave drove towards the entrance of the Silver when noticed a figure walking sluggishly out of the company.

Astonished, He examined the figure wildly and it turned out to be Ophelia. "What the hell is she doing here!?" "Is this also part of Rome's scheme!?". He asked himself continuously while looking at the pale girl walking aimlessly out of the company.

Suddenly, he saw a car speeding towards Ophelia, without thinking twice he rushed out of the car and rushed towards her. He grabbed her waist pulling her into his embrace they both rolled on the floor before finally ending up on the roadside.

The car stopped and the glasses rolled down, Revealing Celine. She smiled sarcastically looking at Dave and Ophelia drenched in rain.

"What a bitch" Dave cursed through gritted teeth, he looked down at Ophelia and was surprised she already passed out. He carried her in his arms, towards his car before finally driving away from the scene.

{{IN THE HOSPITAL}}

Ophelia stirred awake to a totally strange environment, waking up to sterile lights, the beep of monitors, and tubes in her arms. Also, the smell of antiseptic in the room told her she was in the hospital.

"Where am I?" She questioned herself trying to put back the piece together. She looked around the room and finally saw a guy with his back facing her, taking a closer look at him she remembered who he might be.

"Rome!!" she called out, Trying to sit up properly. You must have trusted him so much, for him to be the first person you will think about when you are in trouble.

Dave replied turning to face her. He removed his hands from his pockets pulling out a chair to sit beside her.

"A..am sorry" she replied shyly. She was too tired earlier that she couldn't see the person who saved her, seeing he was in a suit with his broad shoulders she could only think of Rome before passing out.

"it's okay" I just have some questions for you if you don't mind. He said honestly. "How about I asked you the reason why you saved me first" Ophelia asked boldly.

Dave smiled he couldn't believe the girl who was nervous a while ago was now talking to him boldly.

"What's there to ask!?" I just saw a girl who was trying to die and save her life Dave replied mockingly.

Ophelia just glared at him without saying a word.

"How did you know Celine!?" Dave suddenly asked making the world around her crumble. All the muscles in her body stood up, her eyes turned red, and she clenched her fist so hard that hot tears started streaming from her face. She opened her mouth but couldn't say a word. She can't find the right word to utter.

"Dave was confused?" he was just going to ask about how she knew the evil Celine not thinking it would bring tears to her face. He stood up and sat beside her, he moved his hand closer to her face, cleaning her tears her pulled her into his warm embrace. Ophelia did not refuse, instead, she cried more on his chest. After consoling her for a while they finally broke the hug.

"You don't have to talk if you don't want to," Dave said trying to be considerate.

Neglecting him, Ophelia decided to talk after all it's all in the past. "Celine Grey" was my best friend since our high school days. We attended vocals and singing schools together till we became a great artist.

In terms of studies and everything I was more gifted than her so I became a top artist before she could even dream of it.

"Wait what's your full name!?" Dave asked cutting her off.

"Ophelia Wyatt" she answered confused.

So you are the famous singer "Ophy" who lost her fame to Celine 5 years ago after being rumored of plagiarizing Celine's song. Celine gained her stardom through the rumors and she has strived to the top ever since then Dave declared with a big smile.

"What's funny," Ophelia asked getting pissed.

I knew she was so cunny to only strive to the top without doing any shameful deed. Dave said with a smirk.

"That aside can I go home now!?" Ophelia asked getting frustrated. "Yes!" you just fainted, so you can be discharged now. Good Ophelia yelled jumping down from the bed, her stomach grumbled hard making her turn away in shame.

I think we need to visit a restaurant first, Dave said with a smile before walking out.

"Maybe!" Ophelia replied shyly before following.

After the doctor confirmed they could be discharged they drove to the restaurant straight up. After sitting down the waitress came to take their orders.

Dave said he only wanted a whine while Ophelia ordered a variety of food. She ordered; grilled chicken, roasted vegetables, quinoa, and salads with buffalo chicken wings. She was so famished and stressed that she ordered those food without being skittish.

Dave looked at her in awe. Sipping his wine silently. After the food was served, she dug it almost immediately.

"Wait!" he said picking a seventies on the table he moved his hands closer to her mouth and cleaned the stain.

"Eat Slowly" he added taping her on the forehead. Ophelia gave him a cold glare before she proceeded with her meal.

"Wow! What a lovely couple" the ladies sitting not far away said admiring Ophelia and Dave. Dave smiled more extensively, making Ophelia curse him silently without saying a word.

"And what do you think you are doing" a voice roared dragging everyone's attention. Ophelia stopped her food and turned to look at where the voice came from.

To her astonishment it was Rome. Before she could say a word, he already grabbed Dave by the collar, punching him hard in the face.

"Rome!!!" Ophelia screamed.
