Chapter 5 Decisions

"No no, leave me alone." Jenny screams as she wakes up.

"Honey are you ok." Jenny's mother said as ran to her daughters side.

"Where am I." As Jenny tries figuring out what was happening to her. Then as she started realizing where she was and who was in front of her, she grabbed her mother. Burying her head into into her mother's chest, she cried. Squeezing her mother with everything she had, bawling and trying to talk at the same time.

" Honey, honey it'll all be OK. Your home now." her mother said, trying to console Jenny.

As Jenny gathered herself, she stopped bawling and started telling her mother everything that happened. She told her about sneaking out and traveling through the wood, running into the hideous monster, falling into a giant hole, and climbing down the cliff. Stuttering through her story, Jenny's mom eventually stops her, dreading every word of it. Each word just amping up her grief of what her daughter went through.

"OK ok honey it's time to calm down." Her mother said, trying to calm Jenny down.

As Jenny calmed down, she became very apologetic. Telling her mom how sorry she was. Then her mother interrupted her telling her that there was nothing to apologize for.

"We should've listen to you more, listened when you said you want to go see the world." Said her mother.

"No mom you were right about it being to dangerous" said Jenny. "I never want to leave town again."

Then her mother stopped her telling her "No baby, we were wrong for keeping the outside world away from you."

Her mother continued " We tried to hide the world from you to keep you safe, but all we did was to not prepare you for what was out there."

Then her mother, trying to change the mood, asked if Jenny wanted something to eat. And even though Jenny wanted to know what her mother meant by "keeping the outside world away from her", but when her mother mentioned food her stomach growled harder than it ever had.
