Lexa thought, fearfully and didn't know when three of the glass plates slipped from her hand and crashed down to the floor.

Mara's eyes widened and a loud gasp followed. Madam Charity which is the owner of the restaurant glanced towards Lexa's direction, clearly pissed off.

Madam Charity is a one fat lady which doesn't give a damn about her worker's feelings, she's a one stingy lady and at times she would complain about the salary she normally pays her staffs, saying that they're supposed to be working for her free of charge.

Madam Charity gritted her teeth in anger and marched to where Lexa stood.

" Oh my gosh, here comes furious Madam Charity" Mara mumbled, nervously and ran away.

Lexa snapped back to reality, she let out a loud hiss when she felt a slight cut on her toes, since she was putting on slippers.

" What the hell is wrong with you Lexa?! Are you out of your senses?!! Are you trying to bring my shop down!!? You are going to pay for it!!! " Madam Charity shrieked, crazily.

" A...am sorry Madam Charity was just lost in thought....I will......"

" You were just lost in thought??!! are you a family woman?! Do you have kids at home?! " Madam Charity snapped, irritated.

" Am sorry... " Lexa mumbled, softly.

Madam Charity scoffed.

" Clean that shit up, I'll minus this mistake from your payment!" Madam Charity retorted, angrily and stormed off.

Lexa glanced at the floor and sighed.

Lexa walked groggily into the house.

" Hey babe, how was your day? " Benedict called out, playfully and threw his arm over her shoulder.

Lexa pouted her lips rolling her eyes.

" Aish! Let go of me Benedict... am not in the mood" Lexa mumbled, tiredly and threw herself on the couch.

" Someone is stressed out, did madam Charity overworked you again?" Benedict asked, seriously and sat down beside Lexa.

" I broke three plates today...." Lexa mumbled, tiredly. Her eyes tightly shut.

" What?! where you thinking again?! I have told you to always focus whenever you are at work! " Benedict scolded.

" Anyways, is she gonna minus it from your payment? " He asked, eagerly.

" The usual...." Lexa muttered, calmly.

" What?!! What is there to minus, your payment is way too small! " Evelyn who had been listening to their conversation the whole time, screamed from the kitchen.

She strode into the sitting room, her hands akimbo.

" Hope you are aware that Darius Martinez is finally in town?" Evelyn asked, seriously.

Just by hearing his name, Lena felt a cold shiver ran down her spine and her eyes snapped open.

" That's what I was about to say right now, am sure Darius is still in search of you... Lexa the whole of London are searching for you like crazy, if the news gets to USA too then you are doomed " Benedict retorted, seriously.

" Evelyn ...what do you want me to do...? If Darius finds me... then am doomed! I don't want to die yet... " Lexa uttered, fearfully as her body shook.

" Hey, hey, hey look you're safe here with us Lexa, we are going to protect you from him" Benedict retorted, soothingly as he pulled Lexa into his arms and rocked her back, Lexa sniffed.

" What about my mom..? I don't want him to take her away from me" Lexa sobbed fearfully.

Evelyn let out a sad sigh, Lexa is a bold and confident lady, she would hardly fear anyone but here she is now, shaking in fear just at the mention of Darius Martinez name...

" Lexa I can help you out of this country and that would be next tomorrow. You are going to stay with my aunt in Spain while your mom will

stay In here USA." Evelyn uttered, softly.

Lexa pursed her lips, "I don't want to be far away from my mom Evelyn, what if Darius finds out that she is my mother? " Lexa retorted, tearfully.

Evelyn sighed sadly.

" This is for your own good and safety Lexa!" Evelyn snapped, annoyed.

" My mom is my number one priority Evelyn, you can take her to London while I will stay here. At least her safety."

" You are so fucking annoying Lexa! If you ain't going then forget about it! " Evelyn snapped, angrily cutting Lexa off.

" That is enough Evelyn, please leave. Lexa needs rest" Benedict retorted, seriously. Evelyn gave Lexa a hard glare before storming off.

Lexa began to sob while Benedict rocked her back.

" It is okay Lexa, just think about what Amelia said... " Benedict uttered soothingly.

The next day

Lexa was seated on the dinning table as she munched on a plate of fries, hungrily.

Benedict sat in front of her as he mixed her coffee, she frowned when she saw that he had missed one of the ingredients.

" Ugh..you missed something...the green herbal stuff in which you would always put in my coffee....? " Lexa uttered, confused.

Benedict froze and let out a quick laughter,

" That is not a herbal stuff, it's still an ingredient. I just didn't add it because I just fopund out recently that one mustn't take it everyday " Benedict retorted coolly and handed the coffee over to Lexa.

Lexa nodded, she took the coffee and gulped everything down in a go.

" It is taste nice without the green stuff anyway, am off, I wanna visit mom" Lexa mumbled and stood up, she left.

Benedict turned and glanced at the door, he brought out a small bottle which had a greenish liquid inside from his pocket and glanced at it for a while but quickly shoved it back whien Evelyn appeared.

" Am off to work, where is Lexa? " Evelyn asked, surprised.

" She said something about paying her mom a visit, can you clear the table first? Am late for work " Benedict muttered and stood up, he left.

Evelyn glanced at the door and scoffed, she began to clear up the table....
