Chapter 9 Witches

In a large and dark room, witches gathered together, casting spells and all sought to know the future, unlike other creatures, witches were wise, they always sought the future before carrying out a big project, they also follow leaders they believed to be strong and powerful. And the leader in this room was a witch known as Mr Big, he was a terrorist known for his money greed, he didn't care how many people died all he wanted was money and so much people feared him. He was backed up by gangs who he paid and a secret witch society.

The secret witch society only worked for him because he was powerful. Fact, all witches could cast spells but each of them had their special power, like some could tap into time and see the future, others could control mind, but Mr Big had the most powerful of all, he had the power of the tongue, his words could bring pain so the witches feared him, they also respected him because they believed he had the power to protect them.

Mr Big had arranged this meeting to check the future, he wanted to see the success of his upcoming project, but some thing was wrong. "What's wrong Eniyak, if some thing is wrong then tell me" he yelled at the witch conducting the spell. "My lord, I sense some thing wrong" she didn't know how to deliver the news to him. "Don't make me ask this question again Eniyak, what is it" he was growing impatient. "You name doesn't appear in the future it's either you're dead or your plan failed" she said and he laughed, "is this a joke" he was now becoming anxious, "no my lord, there's no trace of your name in the future" she answered with the most meekest voice she could use. "Find out what happened and give me every single detail" he was frightened, if his name wasn't in the future then he most have been killed, but by who, no one was more powerful than him. "I found some thing" Eniyak said and he glared at her, "what is it", "it says some how, that you were killed by a legendary hero known as Ferrous Light" she said and he laughed, "you mean a lowlife hero just rode up in the future and killed me" he was already annoyed. "find that so called hero and bring him here, I want to be the one to kill him" he ordered the witches and they nodded.

Asami sat in her office bored as Dave was no where to be found, as she sat down bored, she remembered Jessica, her sister, this was one of the days she missed her but couldn't do anything about it. She brought out her phone and browsed Jessica Cruz, as she was about to press search she was reminded the reason why she didn't search for her sister years ago, she felt like a monster, first she abandoned her sister and next she killed a man, she was the worse a senior sister in the world, she couldn't help but think so. She forced herself to browse on her sister and a webpage opened, she was shocked to see her sister as the new CEO of silver hotel, "it looks like you're doing well Jess" she was talking to no one in particular, she kept scrolling up and saw a missing person sign board, checking it, it was for her, Asami Cruz, she smiled realizing Jess never forgot her but as she was about to click on "Found" she heard dark eagle's voice in her head. "You're now an assassin Asami, you're now like me" a thunderous laugh followed it and she redrew her hand, just then Dave walked in, "hey, I've been knocking since forever" he paused noticing she was not listening to anything he was saying. "Asami??" He knocked on her desk and shaked. "What was that for" she asked and he looked at her puzzled. "I've been standing here for hours and you didn't noticed me, okay seriously, what's wrong" he collected the phone from her, "Missing person, Asami Cruz" he read and she looked up at him. "What do you want" she asked as she collected her phone back. "You're not gonna contact them" once again he was puzzled. "It's my life and my decision David, stop poke nosing " she sounded irritated. "Woah, ok I get it, but seriously Asami, you need to cut yourself some slack, you know I've been watching you, ever since your mom died, you acted like this strong person, but I know you're weak, you don't have to pretend to be strong Asami, not with me" he said and she let the tears glow from her eyes. "am scared, am scared my sister don't need me in her life anymore, am scared her life is already okay without me and if I walked into it, I'll destroy her once perfect life" she said and he held her hand, "you're am amazing person Asami, anyone that can't see that doesn't deserve your love, but am sure your sister can" he paused, "am sure you have a lot of thinking to do, I'll give you some space" he walked to the door but as he was about leaving she hugged him from behind, "thank you" she said in a whisper as she leaned on his back, he just smiled.

Lunch Break

Asami remained on Dave's back for hours. "Asami as much as I like this position it's lunch time and you really need to eat" he said while she hit his back "shut up and let's go for lunch, also never mention this to anyone" she said as she released him. They walked to the cafeteria, "can I get a pizza please" he asked the lady at the counter who was blushing hard "am sorry but that's not on our today's menu" she replied still blushing, "can you please make one, you see our CEO is having a bad day and she really needs one" he said and smiled at her. Asami watched as Dave ordered, he smiled at the counter lady often and that made her angry and he walked to the table with a pizza she couldn't help but say "do you know you smile too much" she said sulking, "no, people say I don't smile a lot" he said as she grabbed the pizza and ate "hmm it's delicious, I'll forgive you because the pizza is good" she said and smiled and he smiled back.
