Chapter 7 Lazy CEO

Jessica entered her office and saw only pitch darkness, she turned to put on the lights but was frightened by the pair of red gliming, before she cold screamed she quickly turn on the lights and saw inky Damien, "Damien" she breath if relieve. "Is there problem" he asked, no trace of mocking or teasing in his voice, "am fine, just scared of the dark" she replied thinking the red eyes she just saw was all her imagination. "Why did you come back, don't tell me you missed me already" his mocking tone came back.

"I forgot my phone, so don't flatter your self, by the way, why did you turn off the light?" She asked "I felt stressed, and relaxing in the dark is a way I calm myself" he replied and she nodded. "I'll get going now" she said but when she got to the door she turned, "can I ask a question" she asked and he shrugged, "you're eyes are blue right" she asked as he nodded. "Did you see something" he knew she saw something, "no, it must have been my imagination" she said and walked out the door. He breath in and out and his eyes turned red again, "that was too close" he said to himself, and as he closed his eyes, the light went off also.

Asami sat in her desk while Dave sat opposite her trying to finish her work. "You know, you're the laziest CEO I've ever worked for" get voiced and she glared at him, "you know Ii can fire you right?" She asked and he shook his head, "if you do, who will do your boring work for you" he asked and she scratched her head. "Whatever, just finish the work already" she hissed and he smiled at her childishness, he had never since her act this playful. "So your first family, what were they like" he asked and her smile vanished, "my parents we're cool but most of all I miss my little sister, she was really playful" she smiled weakly a hint of sadness showing in her face. "You never mentioned your little sister before" he paused, "did she die in the accident too" he asked carefully not wanting to hurt her more than the memories did. "No, I don't know anything about her anymore, after I was kidnapped, I never heard of her again" she said tears gathered in her eyes, she quickly changed the topic before they fell. "Anyways, it already past lunch break, let go eat something" she changed the topic and he looked up at her, "you alway pretend like you're strong" he said to himself, "okay, I know a good spot, let's go there" he replied her and she nod.

As they walked out of future industries, there was an awkward silence between them, so Asami tried to break the silence, "I told you about my family but you never once told me about yours" she voiced looking at him and he smiled, "my family's not that special, they were away busy, my dad was a technology wizard, e used to create weapons for terrorists bit when he stopped, they killed him and my mom too" Dave rapped without a hint of emotion. "Oh am sorry" Asami said but Dave shook his head, "it's not your fault, I heard the order was from a terrorist named dark..." He was trying hard to remember the name but Asami didn't needed to think at all, she could never forget the name of the man who separated her from her sister and forced her to be a murderer at the age of thirteen. "Dark Eagle" she voiced with hatred but Dave failed to notice the hatred in her voice. "Yes dark eagle, how do you know" he asked surprised, "I heard his name somewhere" she lied. "Anyways, I lived in an orphanage until your mom employed me to work at future industries as her personal assistant, she was really kind" he ended and Asami nodded, "yes she was", "I can help you find your sister if you want" he changed the topic. "No it fine, it's been ten years now, am sure she's forgotten about me already" she said her face filled with sadness.

The next day Jessica came very early to work just so she could sit in the CEO'S seat without Damien's trouble. "You're early, Miss Cruz" Jane smiled and Jessica smiled back. "Just wanted to go through the companies file before work begins, "okay then, you have an important meeting with a business partner today, so you might want to get ready " Jane informed Jess who nodded. "Thanks, Jane" she replied as Jane walked out the door, just then Damien came in, she looked at him with a smile on her face. "You're early today, is it because I threatened you" he was using his teasing tone, "no, I came early in my own will" she sat and she adjusted on the chair, Damien smiled at her childish action. He went to sit on the cushion chair and she gave a silent laugh, but he heard it, because of his abilities, "enjoying the cushion" she said out of no where. "are you trying to get on my nerves" Damien asked and she shook her head, "of course not, why would I need to, it not like you've been a jerk to me" she raised her brown and she nodded. "So this is how it feels to be teased" he said as no on has ever stood up to him before.
