Chapter 6 The CEO'S seat

Jessica Cruz walked through the halls of Silver Hotel in her wine skirt suit, her hair packed in a neat piny tail and her lucky bracelet on her wrist, she smiled as she walked to her office, she was resuming work that day and she was so proud of herself.

She saw Jane on her way and greeted her with a smile, "morning Miss Cruz" Jane replied and Jess paused, "please call me Jessica" she said and Jane nodded, and as she was about leaving she stopped, "Jessica, I think you have a visitor in your office" Jane added and Jessica nodded, she walked to her office wondering who are visitor was, when she entered the office she met the most annoying person in her world "you're late on your first day" he said in a mocking tone. "Damien Quinn" she called. "You really like calling my name don't you" Damien said and she frowned, "I hate seeing your face" she replied and his touched his heart, "Ouch that hurt" he said smiling, but she didn't move an inch, "you're in my seat Damien" she told him but he didn't move. "I don't see your name on it" he said and she was shocked. "Seriously are you blind, my name is clearly written on the desk" she pointed to her name on the desk. "I see CEO Cruz here, and for now you're just Jessica Cruz, so until you're done with your training, come early if you want to seat here" he said and she frowned, "so where am I supposed to seat" she asked and he shrugged. "I don't know, you can seat on the visitor's seat" he said and she was shocked. "The CEO on the visitor's seat?" She asked and Damien smiled. "Suit yourself" he replied and she groaned, "I hate you Damien" she sat in the cushion chair. Just then Jane walked in, "Miss Cruz" she called out but was shocked to find Damien on the sit, she turned to see Jessica in the solfa, "don't ask" Jess warned but Damien quickly explained it all to her, "she came late, so this seat is occupied" Jessica glared at him whil he smirked.

Asami sat in her office less busy thinking of what to do, then her mind ran to the he secret basement, she was about to go when she remembered, she didn't know the pass code, the last time he inputted the code she was too chickened out to notice the numbers, she also remembered that he held here hand when she was scared and blushed. "What wrong with you Asami, being afraid is nothing to be proud of, get your acts together" she scolded herself and sat back on the chair, just then Dave walked in. "Finally,. where have you been all day" she didn't let him answer, she dragged his hand but to her surprise he didn't move, "that's odd" she thought, she was really strong because of the training she went through at an early age so she could even carry most men, but she couldn't even drag him an inch. "Is something wrong" he asked as he looked down at her hand on his. "Yeah, I wanted to visit the basement but remembered I didn't have the pass code" she said as she quickly removed her hand from his. "You should have just said so" he paused. "you acted like you missed me" he concluded and she looked up at him, "why will I miss you" she asked and he laughed nervously, "I was only joking" he replied her and she nodded.

They entered the secret lab and she went straight to the technology room, "what are you doing" he asked and she stared at him weirdly, "what does it looks like am doing, am trying to come up with a machine of course" she placed her hand on her waist like a nagging mom. "Yeah, but who's going to finish the work you have on your desk" he voiced and she smiled at him, "isn't that why you're my assistant" she blinked her ling lashes at him and he sighed in defeat, "just so you know, your mom never left her work for me" he completed as he walked out of the secret basement. She remained there thinking of the kind of machine she wanted to come up with. "Why is this so difficult" she asked no one in particular as she gave up, she was about to leave when she saw a diary with the name Rachael Collins, it was get mom's diary, she picked it up debating if it would be rude to read the diary, she finally decided that since the person was dead, it was not rude, she opened the book and saw it was no diary, it was different machines her mother tried to build but looks like she couldn't, she kept reading the books as inspiration filled her head, "she could build those machines" she thought and smiled, "finally, work to do".

After a very annoying day for Jessica, it was finally closing hours, she packed her bag ready to go leaving only Damien in the office as Jane had already gone home, she walked to the door with her purse, "you're not gonna say goodbye" Damien asked in his mocking tone again and she glared, "I hope I don't see you tomorrow" she said and walked out the door, as she walked to the garage, she thought if what she said to Damien was too harsh but decided since he did complain, he knew she was only bluffing, she got to the garage and saw no sign if her driver,she reached for her phone to call him but didn't find her phone, she did a recount in her mind and remember she left it in her office, she quickly ran to her to office, reaching there, she opened the door to find only darkness and a pair of red gliming eyes.
