Chapter 5 Encountering Her Everywhere

Dominik politely turned down Aydan's offer to stay over and made his way back to the Skytop Villa Area.

When the car came to a halt, Dominik's expression hardened. "Come out!" he demanded sharply.

Instantly, several figures materialized around him, each radiating a chilling presence like menacing predators.

"You seem to have a special relationship with Sylvia? Will you surrender peacefully, or do we need to force your compliance?" A man with an icy demeanor and piercing gaze stepped forward.

At the mention of her name, irritation flashed across Dominik's face. He shook his head dismissively. "I have nothing to do with her. You're making a mistake by targeting me."

"Oh, a mere prison guard dares to defy us? We are the Four Kings, serving under the Dreadlord!" The man scoffed, advancing towards Dominik.

His hand sliced through the air, aiming straight for Dominik's throat.

Dominik just shook his head. These so-called Four Kings were no match for him at all. Any prisoner from the Phantom Prison could defeat them easily, let alone Dominik, the prison guard who could make these atrocious prisoners tremble with fear on hearing his name.

He easily blocked this man's attack. Ignoring their shocked expressions, Dominik fought back, swinging his fist. The sound of impact echoed as the four fearsome attackers crumpled to the ground like discarded dolls.

"What a nuisance," muttered Dominik as he grabbed their legs and tossed the bodies off the cliff.

Shortly thereafter, Sylvia, drawn by the scent of blood, arrived at the scene. Below the cliff lay four mangled bodies.

"These are the Four Kings under the Dreadlord's command. These men have always troubled our military, and capturing them seemed impossible..."

The sight shocked Sylvia.

She could tell that these men were killed easily just now and then discarded like trash, which disturbed her deeply.

"Who could dispatch these four so effortlessly? The blood is still fresh; they were killed recently, yet there's no sign of a struggle."

A serious look crossed Sylvia's eyes. Whoever did this was probably stronger than she was!

She pulled out her phone and gazed towards the top of Skytop Hill thoughtfully. "Find out who's at Skytop Mansion and send a team to clean this up..."

The next morning, Dominik's phone rang. It was Aydan.

"Dominik, you and Ruby are getting close fast. It's time to solidify that bond. She's invited some friends to a sports club to introduce you. I'll send her over to pick you up!" Aydan chuckled.

"Okay," Dominik replied, a wry smile on his face. He couldn't really say no to Aydan's enthusiasm.

Soon after, Olivia arrived with Ruby in tow to fetch Dominik.

Upon seeing him, Olivia gave him a critical once-over and sneered inwardly. A simple prison guard, not especially handsome. Sure, he was physically fit, but without any real power or status, what good was he? How could he possibly be a match for Ruby, the esteemed daughter of the Harper family?

"This is my best friend, Olivia Sutton," Ruby introduced from the front passenger seat, her tone detached.

Dominik extended his hand with a friendly smile. "Nice to meet you!"

Olivia, however, didn't even glance his way and impatiently said, "Stop dawdling. Just get in the car. Mr. Warren and the others are waiting for us!"

She drove swiftly, soon pulling up to a place called Apex Club.

"Hey, Ruby, Olivia, you've finally arrived!" A group of affluent young men approached to greet them, led by a distinguished-looking man-Kristian Warren, a suitor of Ruby's and scion of the Warren family.

Kristian noticed the extra passenger and his face clouded over. "Who's this?"

"A man yearning for someone out of his league," Olivia sneered, nodding towards Kristian.

Kristian's eyes flashed with cold light as he assessed Dominik, dressed simply and unremarkably.

Could this man really be after Ruby?

Ruby, maintaining her composure, reassured, "Olivia always talks like that. Don't mind her."

Dominik gave her a brief look but remained silent.

"Well, since you're here, let's just be friends, regardless of status," Kristian remarked, his indifference evident. To him, Dominik seemed insignificant, merely an ant.

Turning to Ruby with a smile, Kristian said, "Ruby, you've been wanting to learn fencing, right? I won third place at the National Fencing Enthusiast Exchange Conference recently. I can teach you today. Also, I've started to reclaim the twenty million your family is owed by the Umbra Alliance. They'll likely respond soon. Don't worry. Despite the Alliance's power, they respect me."

Ruby's eyes lit up with gratitude. "Thank you, Mr. Warren!"

After securing a spot at the club, Kristian promptly invited another enthusiast for a fencing match.

"Wow, is that General Sylvia Hewitt?!"

"Indeed, it looks like Sylvia! Who knew we'd see her here."

"And who is she practicing archery with? Is that Lorenzo Stewart, the chairman of the Umbra Alliance?"

"Sylvia is truly my idol, excelling at everything. Look at those bull's-eyes!"

Sporting her athletic wear, Sylvia appeared both heroic and vibrant. She drew her bow, took aim, and released four arrows in quick succession, each hitting the bull's-eye.

Dominik felt a pang of irritation. Did he have to encounter this woman everywhere he went? How unlucky!

Yet, he couldn't help but chuckle seeing Lorenzo, also known as Mudskipper.

Back when Lorenzo was in prison, he had acted arrogantly, detested the cafeteria food, and caused a scene. In response, Dominik had beaten him up hard and chased him with a whip, causing him to escape, running and jumping back and forth like a mudskipper.

Thus, Lorenzo earned his nickname, Mudskipper, after the incident.

"I never thought I'd get to see General Sylvia Hewitt's skill firsthand. She's becoming the Goddess of War of Sruburgh. If only I could marry such a woman..."

"In your dreams. The Hewitt family is prestigious in Frutshire, and General Sylvia is a heroine. Who could possibly be a match for such a goddess?"

However, the crowd's focus quickly returned to Kristian as he took up his sword, cleared his throat, and started his duel with Miguel Reynolds, the wealthy man opposite him.

Kristian had some undeniable skill, which was evident from his third-place win. His opponent was clearly outclassed. Within moments, Kristian had knocked the sword from the man's hand and pinned him to the floor.

"Mr. Warren is truly amazing! He disarmed Miguel in just five moves!" Olivia exclaimed, her eyes sparkling with excitement.

Kristian moved with a grace and agility that made his swordplay appear both elegant and effortless, captivating several onlookers, especially the ladies.

Dominik, however, scowled and paid no attention to the duel.

He was eager to leave, wanting no further entanglements with Sylvia.

Despite the minor trouble caused by those four men yesterday, Dominik preferred to steer clear of conflicts.
