Chapter 12 Payback

"Welcome back, young Miss." Butler John greeted her as Diana entered the house, to which she replied with a nod.
"My precious daughter, you're back from the office, why didn't you come back yesterday? You are a girl, your body is not made of stone. I have told you several times not to overwork yourself even if the company fails. We still have enough wealth to let us start anew." Diana's mother, Donna Williams, told her immediately she entered the house.
"Mother, what do you want me to do?" Diana asked in a slightly tired voice.
"Well, the thing is that I arranged a blind date for you, you don't need to worry. He fits your preferences and is from a wealthy family abroad, so his family status matches ours." Her mother said hurriedly, hoping that Diana would at least agree to this one.
"I am not going. I have told you several times I would settle down when the time is right," Diana said calmly.
"But Diane, mum...." Her mother wanted to say before she was cut off by Diana walking away.
After Diana walked away from her, Donna saw her husband chuckling around the corner and glared at him, "it's all your fault she's like this. You handed her the company at a young age. Now she behaves like a robot without feelings because of the dirty business world of yours." She ranted with puffed cheeks, her husband left the wall he was leaning against and a handsome young man who did not seem over 30 day-old came into view.
"You look so cute when angry, but you look old too. I don't want people saying my wife is some sort of old woman." Damon Williams said while pinching her cheeks.
"how dare you call me old! just because you look younger than 50, you father and daughter are Indeed the same thing," she said grumbling.
"Exactly if I didn't quit the business world I wouldn't look this young for you, and we could make a male child to take away your precious daughter's burden." Damon said smugly before carrying her horizontally towards their bedroom, "put me down the maids are watching." Donna struggled. "I pay them so they know their limits and besides you are only testing me more by squirming about." he said before opening the door and the rest became history.
After entering into the room Diana laid on her bed in daze as she glanced at the ceiling lost in thoughts, she couldn't bare to go on any blind dates, not after what happened that day. She just couldn't stand staying with men for long without getting the urge to dismember them.
Thinking about it, she remembered that she had to go to the Donald family daughter's engagement banquet. She didn't want to go at first, but a business partner requested to meet her there, so she had no choice but to go because she was not in the mood of dissing all those fox's eyes, not to brag, but her beauty was one of a kind, she had a small face with a pointed nose and a heart shaped lips. So she had to deal with suitors of every kind, even during business meetings. Diana got a suit out of her closet as she was not interested in dressing decently for Angela's banquet.
After dressing up, she put on a touch of makeup but later decided to wipe it off, she stood up and went back to her closet and picked a dazzling dinner gown and got dressed in it.
Diana was a very vengeful person as to the fact that Angela framed her at a ball putting on her pitiful innocent face to deceive people, she wanted to make Diana look bad, so she did that, but the person in question just looked at her and walked away.
So, at this thought Diana decided that it's not that bad to out dress the main character of the party itself, so she changed and put on a provocative makeup. It was soon time for the party, and Diana walked elegantly down the flight of stairs ready to leave.
"Where are my parents?" Diana asked a maid nearby, "ma'am and sir went into their room a few hours ago." the maid said with a flushed face.
Diana rolled her eyes inwardly, knowing what that meant. Her parents are always like this, not minding the fact she was at home at all "When they're done with whatever they are doing, tell them I went to a banquet of the Donald family." Diana said before heading out and getting into the Rolls-Royce parked at the entrance of the house.
Angela paced her room nervously, she had just heard that Diana is coming to her engagement ceremony, "she would definitely cause trouble as revenge for framing her back then." She thought she couldn't cause trouble for Joseph, he was just picking up in his business. Soon after the ceremony started, Angela walked down the stairs elegantly in a dazzling red dress.
"Omg, isn't that the dress Tiger the famous designer just released?" a guest voiced out loud.
"Yeah, it is, I heard that there is only one produced." another guest chipped in.
"Wow, I'm so jealous of Angela, but after all, she is the Donald family only daughter. After all, what do we expect?" a voice said filled with envy.
Their voices were not very low, so Angela heard them, causing a smirk to dance on her face. After being showered with praises, she head towards the guests with a gentle smile looking pleasant, but soon she heard murmurs that turned her smile upside down.
"I thought there was only one of Tiger's new dress, how come Diana has it too." on hearing that Angela turned back in shock only to see Diana in the same clothes as she is but the difference is that Diana's clothes were the real ones.
Angela had thought that Diana, would wear business clothes as usual, and she was sure other than them both no one could afford the dress, so she wore the fabricated one. Seeing everyone looking at her, Angela tried to salvage the situation.
"I didn't know that the great Diana wore fakes too." Angela said full of pride. She was sure that the authenticity of the clothes could never be revealed.
"How are we sure it's her wearing the fake, and not you?" Derek butted in from nowhere.
He had arrived at the party early, so he could steal the rings or try something else to disrupt the ceremony, but embarrassing Angela seemed worthwhile.
"Are you sure I am wearing a fake and not you?" Diana asked with an uninterested look on her face, Ignoring Derek's earlier words.
"Yes, I am very sure," Angela announced with certainty in her voice.
"Let me call Tiger then, I am sure he of all people knows who he sold the dress to," Diana said coldly.
"Why are you dragging him into a petty matter like this, just admit you wore a counterfeit." Angela said nervously but the latter just ignored her and took out her phone, dialing a number that picked up almost immediately.
"Hi... Tiger, it's me Diana, I want to ask who you sold your clothes to, the red devil to." Diana asked in an authoritative voice, putting on the phone's loudspeaker.
"You, of course, why would I sell my clothes to anyone else?" Tiger asked confused, "Well, someone is saying your clothes are fake." Diana glanced at Angela with a playful smile dancing on her succulent red lips.
"Who dares to call my clothes fake? Tell me and I will make sure to ban the person from purchasing any designer clothes again." Tiger said with his voice suddenly goin
