Chapter 8 Something Happen

Hana gazed at the numbers circled in red on a calendar, smiling with joy. Her fingers traced each date from today to the marked one-just three days left until her wedding with Kaji. Time seemed to fly, leaving Hana feeling a bit overwhelmed at the prospect of transitioning from a girlfriend to a legal wife.

That morning, Hana prepared to visit the cafe to give invitations to her boss and request time off leading up to the wedding. With enthusiasm, she entered Urahara's cafe, greeting other employees warmly while handing out wedding invitations.

"Has Urahara-san arrived?" Hana asked Sora.

"He's at the office," Sora quickly replied.

Without delay, Hana walked towards Urahara's office. She knocked on the door, and he came out a few minutes later, wearing a broad smile.

"What's up, Han?" he asked gently.

"This," Hana said, handing him her wedding invitation.

"Wow... looks like you beat me to it in this matter."

Hana smiled shyly, wishing her boss would find his own happiness. Urahara chuckled and promised to attend his employee's wedding.

"Also, Urahara-san, it seems I won't be able to work starting tomorrow, but I'll be back to work as soon as possible after getting married."

"No need to rush. Enjoy your honeymoon with your husband-to-be. As for the cafe, let me and the others handle it."

Hana felt fortunate to work for such a kind and understanding boss like Urahara. She promised to remain a loyal and honest employee.

The brown-eyed girl had just finished her makeup, smiling brightly as she looked in the mirror. Since arriving at the venue, her heart had been pounding so fast that it left her a bit flustered. Someone entering the room rushed into a hug, congratulating her.

"You look so beautiful; I just want to bite you," Mimi exclaimed, met with a gentle retort from Hana.

"I'm really nervous," Hana said, walking around.

"Just relax. Pretend everyone watching you at that moment doesn't exist. Focus on walking down the aisle, looking at Kaji. I'm sure you can do it."

"I'm glad you're here. Oh, have you seen Kaji? Is he looking handsome today?"

"I was just heading there. Wait for me here; I'll be back after checking."

Hana sat back down, continuously gazing at herself in the mirror. Her thoughts drifted into imagining the moment when she would make sacred vows in front of many people. Suddenly, the door opened, disrupting her daydream. Mimi returned swiftly from Kaji's room but seemed disappointed.

"How was it? Have you met Kaji?" Hana asked eagerly.

"Someone told me Kaji went to his apartment to get the forgotten ring. I'm worried he'll be late for the ceremony," Mimi replied.

"Don't worry; Kaji has been looking forward to this moment. I'm sure he'll be back before the event starts," Hana reassured, trying to convince both Mimi and herself.

The event organizers entered Hana's room, inquiring about Kaji's whereabouts since he hadn't returned after half an hour. Hana, hiding her anxiety, called Kaji but received no answer. Panic set in as the event organizers informed them that the ceremony was about to begin, and the absence of Kaji worried everyone.

"I'll ask someone for help; you stay here. I'll be right back," Mimi said, hurrying away.

Hana's phone rang, and when she saw Kaji's name, she quickly answered, bombarding him with questions without giving him a chance to respond.

"Excuse me, is this someone close to a man named Kazune Kaji?" a voice on the other end asked.

"Who is this? Where's Kaji?" Hana inquired anxiously.

"You can come to Tohoku Hospital if you want to see him. We're taking him there now."

"What happened? Why the hospital?"

"He just had an accident. I'm sorry, miss, I have to end this. The ambulance is here."

As the man ended the call, Hana felt instantly weak. Her phone slipped from her hands. Mimi and Urahara, returning to the room, were puzzled by the girl's behavior. Hana, regaining her senses, quickly got up, ignoring Mimi's calls, heading straight to the hospital to see Kaji, hoping he would be okay.
