Chapter 3:

POV CAON

Walking up to the pack house looks like a resort ... it has a 111 rooms so could fit 111 people to 400+ of our people in at one time , there's also a leisure centre attached that we can turn the courts into many different game courts including basketball , netball , soccer and so on with a gym and a pool attached . It's our centre and it keeps the youth entertained enough that they don't need to go look for trouble to starve off their boredom or their beasts.

I see the black Bentley pulling up with Kaydens wolf in the trees near by as I get into the receiving lounge and mentally go over the speech I do with all guests.

"Thank you Kayden for escorting them here. Please return to your post now" I mind-link him as he turns and trots away.

"Alpha Caon " - A well built 17 year old boy greets me . 5ft 9 or 175cm tall , he's got the muscles so he must be working out daily with his squad but still has that youthful skinniness about him , medium length sandy hair on top with short sides I think it's called a fade. Hazel eyes with eyebrows that look groomed, why do dudes do that?! Good smile , that must be what gets the ladies , that and his muscles I guess . "Thank you for your time over the next month to train us . We all are looking forward to taking in what you and your team can teach us" - said their Alpha Carter, while nodding his head down to show respect and gratitude.

"Alpha Carter, it's our pleasure to help where we can, as you know we have trained in this field for decades to ensure our kind could protect themselves against the ever growing population of rogues and packs that are becoming too big for their boots. "- said Caon, his voice sounded deep and rumbling compared to this young pup. When talking about these issues my voice becomes guttural .No matter what I do to stop the growing rogues they still manage to get more and more numbers it pisses me off.

So far Carters smiled and nodded along , the eyebrows came down in seriousness when talking about the overpowering packs out there , good sign to me.

"If you would sit , introduce us to your team and then we can go over your weekly plan will be . And finish with the rules of our territory while you are here with us . Must get the legalities out of the way. "- said Caon to Carter.

Carter moved towards the L shaped lounge suite , and his 3 companions follow. " I've bought Alexander our chief patrol officer , Trainer Ash and Theta our newest warrior who's climbed up in our ranks quickly . " , Carter explained with pride over his team .

"Nice to meet you all . I'm sure you'll all benefit from our program here and hopefully gain something out of it to take home with you" - I said looking each one over. As much as my Uncle has the tests we can never be too careful and my wolf has great instincts to newbies around us.

'Catori what do you reckon about the newbies to our land?' I asked my wolf .

'They smell like they are nervous and that's masking anything else they may be feeling . As you go through the rules with them I will keep my senses alert in any changes '. He says back in my mind .

"In this room right now we have my Beta Cain , Kayden our Patrol officer and Kai our trainer . Alexander you will be going with Kayden , Ash and Theta with Kai. Alpha Carter you'll be with me and Beta Cain for the first seven days then move to Kayden and Alexander for a week and a half , then with Kai , Ash and Theta for the rest of the time here. Tonight we have a dinner here at the pack house and tomorrow at 6am we begin . As for our lands rules I have them on the coffee table , I hope you all can follow them and respect what's been enforced while you're in our territory. They are straight forward and easy to remember ." - I said pointing at the table for them to read.

White Claw pack Rules as follows:

You will be respectful to all others regardless of rank.we do not look down on lower ranking wolves in this pack. We have sent notifications to our members of your arrival and expect the same respect to you from them.

Marking & mating with anyone that is not your mate is forbidden with exceptions where you can request the Alpha to asses your relationship on a case by case basis. This is mainly for ones that have travelled to many places in search of their mate and not found them, that said they have a mutual agreement with the partner and Alpha to forsake their true mate for their chosen mate if their case is granted, a ritual will be performed to ensure this happens in the future .

Ask for permission from the Alpha to leave the grounds for any errands or requests not given by the Alpha.

Ask for permission to hunt our territory if outside of our monthly hunt.

If rogues breech our territory we expect you to join in defending it , no exceptions.

Pups are to be protected at all cost and their innocence unharmed at all times.

If you harm a member of our pack you will be putting our alliance at risk unless you have evidence to support your actions. Our pack members will be punished if they caused harm without proof.

All members and visitors will complete the hour long training session at 6am sharp daily , unless on kitchen duty in the morning , these members will attend the afternoon session at 3pm to complete the missed training.

Visitors are welcome to cook in the pack house kitchen while here , notify the Alpha and will coordinate with the head chef.

No one will turn a human while they are with us, this is punishable by death.

If a rogue is found detain and bring to the Alpha immediately.

Above all else our Alphas word is law and this will be abided by while on this territory, failure to comply will be rejected from our territory and alliances broken with your pack.

Alpha Caon.

"I'm sorry Alpha Caon , what does the statement about mating and ritual mean ?"- Alpha Carter enquired .

"If the feeling is mutual and of age to bed each other then that's fine, but history has told us that this only leads to trouble in the future and unfortunately many packs have not learnt from this , so history just keeps repeating itself and we end up with more rogues as they can't stand to be in the pack with their true mate rejecting them. So we as a pack agree that if you want to mess around then do but consider marking and mating a chosen over your true mate needs a lot of thought and consideration first. This is why we have collaborated with our on-staff witch to preform the ritual of binding , after getting permission to go through with a chosen mate over waiting for your true mate. This was created for a few reasons first to make our members really think about the consequences of going with a chosen mate, two to stop the pain when they do find their true mate and have to go through a rejection process & three there is no way to break the bond you've forced against nature for and go with your true mate in the end. As we all know the Goddess Artemis has chosen a perfectly fitting mate for each of her recreations , to go against that never ends well."- I said it calmly and wonder if any other pack would implement what we've tried to do here. I have read countless of pack history and so many are from chosen mates or jealous lovers , power hungry people trying to be a mate to someone they shouldn't be with . It's why my vow to keep myself for my true mate has lasted so long. I don't want to meet her and cause her harm from my past actions.

'Catori , did their emotions change during the rules or the extra question from Carter?' I asked my wolf while they carried on checking the rest of the rules out.

'Other then a bolt of surprise from them not really , that little pup seems to be very interested in the sex part of the list though.'

'Yes , that little pup definitely wants to make sure that he can bed someone while he's here .. but as I said it's each to their own if it's just sex .. it's when someone wants to be more that we have to really get involved with what people do behind closed doors'

"Alpha Caon, if I may I'd like to do a kitchen duty this week , I enjoy making food . If I wasn't as good of a warrior I'd definitely request to be a chef back home . I have this recipe of a multi layered roast I like doing when I have the chance to be in the kitchen that I'd like to make for your pack while I'm here .. I call it the turducken it's chicken duck and turkey."- Theta said with passion as he spoke about this 3 beast meal he wants to do.

With a rumbling chuckle I agree "Sure Theta I will notify our head chef about your participation in the kitchen this week coming , it's a good time to be in there as we have Mabon coming up on the 22nd this month . We will have to make sure our dishes balance for this to give thanks for our harvest , and we need to know how long you'll need in the kitchen to complete it . We have around 400 pack members at the moment so you'll need to do enough for everyone to have a bit of it. You let us know the numbers and we can get the birds." - I say excluding 100 other wolves that are away visiting or on business. They don't need to know our total numbers.

Theta looked shocked and excited at once at the sheer amount of people he'd need to prep for .

"Does that conclude all the questions you have for now? "- I asked the men infront of me .

"Yes Alpha Caon ". All 4 said at once , I hummed like a low engine rumble accompanied by vibrations in approval.
