Chapter 4 IV

Annie's POV:

"Oh my, one explosion after another! I'm going to call Chan! I'm scared! "Bonnie shouted.

"Are you insane? Don't! You said that no one will watch over Billy! What if Chan sympathizes and something bad happens to him? Get ready, Bonnie! We can handle this!" I shouted at Bonnie.

The ground is constantly shaking due to terrorist bombings from Craig. I don't know why they're targeting Avalon but I'm sure of one thing, they have a plan to steal theexperiment. I can't let them take that away!

Also, it used to be hot between Avalon and Craig. There are many emerging issues between the two. But they shouldn't be doing it. Many people will die!

"Oh!" I hissed as we heard Bonnie's explosion getting closer.

We are already on the ground floor but Bonnie and I are afraid to go out because apart from so many shooters, we might even be kidnapped. We will not let our lives be gambled away. We carry life in our stomach, when we get hurt they can disappear! No mother would risk her child's life for no good reason.

"Annie, what are we planning? Where are we going now? I'm afraid, Annie. Something bad might happen to us. I don't want you or me to get hurt. I'm afraid of the terrorists, I'm sure the weapons they're carrying are no joke because they're not will rush in when they are not ready. The soldiers from Avalon might not be able to catch up with us either. Maybe later we will explode and we will both just die. Annie, I don't want it! What are we going to do now?" Bonnieasked in panic.

I bit my lip a lot. Bonnie's negativity is contagious! He's always like this when he's nervous, panicking. I, on the other hand, was trying to calm down but because of his unrestrained mouth, the nervousness was gradually growing in my chest.

"Annie, speak up," Bonnie whispered in tears.

"Come on, let's get out of here. We'll be in more danger if we stay. We don't know that there might be a bomb planted here where we live. It's good to be safe," I said to Bonnie and pulled her hand.

Our bags were slung over our shoulders and in front of us. We carry the documents and some valuables, even a few pairs of clothes.

Before we reached the door, I saw an explosion that was about seven streets away from where we were. I was right, it's possible that every building has a bomb. They intend to knock the Avalon down so that it will be difficult to get up again. That way, if they attack next time, our camp's defense will be weaker. They are smart, Avalon is not ready now.

"Where are we left or right?" asked Bonnie.

"Where did you last see the last explosion?" I asked Bonnie.

"Besides in front of us is on the right side, 15 streets away. Shall we run to the left?" I will ask.

"No, that could be a trap for sure. I know the soldier of our country will also sound about it. We'll pass behind, I don't hear much of an explosion from there. You probably know why," I explained to Bonnie.

"Because the location of the building we're working on is where the research facility for Project Melos is!" Bonnie said with wide eyes.

"You're right! That's their goal, so they won't target it and avoid it! I know the risk is also high that there are many terrorists who are already stationed there, but our army is strong. I'm sure we'll find someone who can help us," I said to Bonnie.

I squeezed his hand and we ran around the building together. There are no terrorists around yet, they haven't reached here yet. We immediately ran away from thebuilding where we live. We had run two streets when we heard an explosion on the left side.

"You're right, Annie. You're great!" Bonnie gasps at me.

"Don't scream, you gaga! I'll leave you here! Maybe there's a terrorist around and they'll shoot us all of a sudden! Praise me later when we both get out of here alive!" I whispered to him annoyed. Even I was tired, adding to the weight of my body because of my big belly and carrying bag.

We ran again until we reached the bubble car. Bonnie and I looked at each other, should we ride or run until we see aAvalon soldier?

"Shall we ride?" I will ask.

"Yes, but you will drive because I am really nervous. We might both die sooner because of me. Just drive low, don't go up. The enemies will see us," Bonnie answered me.

I waved at him and we ran towards the parked bubble cars. We positioned ourselves on the side and looked from my location to see which bubble car was not hit by a bullet. It looks like some terrorists have come here, there are some bubble cars with gunshot wounds. It's just that there are no people, it's surprising. Maybe inside the buildings. There were tRace of blood on the road.

We run to the central bubble car. Bonnie and I both turned. We went inside and I was insulted because there was even a payment before it started. We immediately sat on the floor and looked for coins in the bag.

"Annie, I didn't have my wallet with me! This is all I have left that I got from my pocket," he whispered softly.

I bothered Bonnie and took my wallet. I have stamped all thecoins we have. I breathed a sigh of relief when it came to life. Bonnie and I immediately sat down and put on our seatbelts.

I started running but immediately braked when we met three armed men with black hoods over their face. Bonnieand I widened our eyes and squeezed hard. Fortunately, thebubble car works even though it's not on the track they're running on. It has a five hours charge battery for emergency purposes. Good thing this thing was invented.

"Fly up, Annie!" Bonnie shouted.

I immediately raised the bubble car and drove it quickly. Now I know why there's a rail for bubble cars, it's hard to run when it's not on the line! It will definitely crash into thebuilding if the detour is not a sign!

The terrorists that Annie and I met earlier Billy at us. We were both really nervous and scared. Maybe later we will be hit. Even a blow hurts, can the bullet still hit?

"Annie, you're a great driver but I'm overwhelmed! Wahh, don't crash our bubble car! I'll fix you for the rest of my life!" Bonnie shouted while closing her eyes and clinging to both sides of her chair.

"Bonnie, shut up because I can't concentrate! We're being shot at and it's hard to dodge! When you throw up, I'll choke you! Oh, I'll drop you here!" I shouted at her.

I shouted when a bullet hit my side door. It had a hole in it, I thought this car could take any kind of bullet!

When I saw a group in the distance of Avalon soldiers I lowered the plane. My eyes widened when the 'beep' sound of this bubble car started to sound. That's why it wasn't used by those who parked there, the meter was broken! The coins we used ran out immediately! Shit, I didn't notice that!

"Wahh, shameless bubble car! This is it!" Bonnie shouted, looking up and narrowing her eyes.

Little by little, our bubble car landed on the ground. We bounced and ended up breaking the chin so Bonnie and I were able to lift our feet. We stopped in the middle of theroad so we immediately got out of Bonnie's car.

Bonnie ran to the side and threw up. His nausea was so strong that it felt like my stomach was turning and I was throwing up on the side.

I almost ran out of energy because of that, this Bonnie is really cute! Add to that I'm tired, it will make it difficult for us to run and escape. First we need to find a place to rest. In the case of the current state and condition of the conflict between the two camps, it is dangerous to stop. We have tocontinue our escape.

"Bonnie, come on! Let's run again!" I shouted at him.

He came to me and took the water from the back of my bag. I winced and threw it away after he finished it. Gross!, throw up the drink directly from it. What is the taste and smell? Crushed and packed macaroni salad? Disgusting!

"Hey, come on! I'm about to run out of breath!" hecomplained.

We held each other's hands again and ran again. We heard the gun in the distance so my nervousness reached the sky. We are dead for sure if the terrorist sees us. I don't want to be shot!

We were about to turn the corner when I saw terrorists with captured civilians. Bonnie and I immediately hid on the side and looked at each other. It's gone.

"Where are we going now?" I asked Bonnie.

"I don't know, just anywhere. We'll be somewhere where we can hide and we won't be harmed. Just here in the building, I don't think they will blow up this part because theterrorists are also here. Your theory earlier was correct. Wait "Let's go down when they're gone. We won't get anything if we go back, it's more dangerous," said Bonnie.

"It turns out that what you say sometimes makes sense," I whispered to him in annoyance, so he tormented me.

We entered inside the building. We rushed up but I immediately stopped Bonnie from moving and we both landed. The wall on the side of the stairs is made of glass. They might see us.

"Why?" Bonnie asked weakly.

"They're already nearby, if we go up they can hear and see us. Let's go here first, let's see what they're up to," I whispered.

When we passed by the building where Bonnie and I were hiding the terrorists, we got even closer and squeezed in at the end. I found a door about half the size of a normal door,it looked like a small room.

"Let's go inside first to hide, it's too dangerous here where we are," I said to Bonnie.

"Alright, let's go. Just push slowly with your foot. Then you go first and I'll crawl next," he whispered, so I looked at Bonnie.

I find it difficult to move because of my big belly. I slowly pushed this sliding door in and we went inside. I even saw the enemies glance in our direction but I know they didn't see us. They immediately looked away.

When we got inside, Bonnie and I breathed a sigh of relief. We are in one room where the cleaners, mops, brooms, etc. are. I saw a locked door so I frowned. I took the bolt cutter to the side and had Bonnie help me break it out. We will pass through to get out of this building. Really pray that those terrorists don't turn around so they don't see us.

Why do they want to steal what our country knows about Project Melos? Why don't they just make them? Craig is also known for its intelligent citizens. Craig is inhabited by South American people.

When Bonnie and I got out of the door we opened we breathed a sigh of relief. We immediately quietly ran down the stairs to get out of this building. It's really dangerous if we run anyway, we need to find Avalon soldiers to help us escape from here. Make sure there is a safezone. We are only among the terrorists anyway.

When Bonnie and I got out of the building, my eyes widened when I saw the Avalon soldiers in the distance. Bonnie and I immediately looked at each other and ran towards them holding hands.

"Help us! We've been running for a while!" we shouted at the soldiers.

They took shelter with us, they must have been soldiers because there were black and white among them. They are also wearing blue army uniforms and have badges so they are surely soldiers of this country.

"What happened? Where are you from?" the man who looked like the leader of their group asked us.

"We were running about ten streets away from here. We were coming from our building when the explosion started and that's when we found out that there were terrorists. Let's get out of here, sirs. It's dangerous because it's an open field and maybe later Billy at us," I said.

There were two soldiers who took Bonnie and my bag. Soldiers were on our left and right to protect us. They said we are going to a park because their rescue vehicles are there. Bonnie and I held hands silently as we walked. Thenervousness in my chest still hasn't gone away.

When we got to the opposite side of the park, I frowned because the cars here didn't have the Avalon logo. They should have a sticker or an army vehicle!

Bonnie and I looked at each other and were about to run when these terrorists grabbed us. They immediately put handcuffs and gags on us.

"Hmmm!" I shouted while looking at Bonnie.

The terrorists put us in the same car. They just tossed us inso I was in pain when my side hit.

I was so stupid to think they were allies. I should have wondered if there were impostors and traitors in this country. But Avalon is fine. Why are there people who are able to defect and become terrorists who will fight against their own country?
