Chapter 5 SOLD AND ESCAPE 2

SCARLET'S P.O.V

"Leave". That's all she says, nothing more. She turns to leave my room but I grab her by the arm and she instantly stops.

"Why? Why can't you love me? What have I ever to deserve your hatred?" She looks at my tear stricken face and for the first time, I saw her walls break.

"You can't stay here Scarlet, it's not safe for you. I'm sorry that I wasn't a better mother to you but it was all for your own good." She mutters softly as tears well up in her eyes. She pulls me in for a hug and I'm too shocked to even reciprocate the hug but when I do, I break down in tears. How I've longed for this, her motherly love.

"You need to leave Scar, if you can escape then do it but you need to leave this place. Don't let them get to you." She says before removing her necklace, and putting it on me.

"I'm sorry for not being there for you, but I did it to protect you and in my own selfish way, I also hated you because you weren't a male child. But I regret my choices and wish I had loved you better. I had some money saved up, you might need it later so here." She places a bundle of cash in my hand and when I begin to refuse, she places a hand on my mouth, effectively shutting me up.

"You'll need it. If not now then later. I don't have much time, I've stayed with you for quite a long time and I'm sure they're getting suspicious. I need to go..... I love you Scar." She whispers tearfully and we hug one last time, I take in her scent knowing I might never perceive it ever again.

"I love you too, mom." I say but by then she was long gone. I put the necklace around my neck and stuff the money in my bag. Packing up my bag, I slide open the window and throw my bag down before climbing out the window. I needed to escape, I wasn't going to be sold to some unknown man just to become his breeder.

With determination coursing through my veins, I climb down the pipe next to my window before landing on the ground with a soft thud. I make haste for the woods, sunning as if my life depended on it because it did. I was going to escape no matter what.

ROMAN'S P.O.V

I had a feeling that Scarlet might not give in easily. I had a hunch that she might try to hide or escape. She was taking far too long to get her things.

"How much load does she have with her?" I ask Collins who had a frown on his face, it was clear he too, was getting angry. We were seated at the sitting room waiting for Scarlet to come down with her things for almost an hour.

"Not much Alpha, I'll go see what's keeping her." He gave me a tight smile before leaving"

'Alpha, I think she is on the run.' Lukas mind links me. I guess I'm not the only one who thinks she is hiding away.

"Where is she?" I hear Collins's enraged voice coming from upstairs. Seems like we have our confirmation, my little bride has run away.

"Raquel, where the hell is your bitch of a daughter?" He growls once more and I clench my fist.

He is despicable. Scarlet is beautiful, with her wavy dark hair and hazel eyes, and of course, curves that could make heads turn, she is beyond beautiful.

I see Collins stomp down the stairs with his wife behind him and she has a little smile on her face, but before Collins utters a word I hold up my hand.

"I see that your daughter has fled, you'll be hearing from me." I stand up, walking away and Lukas follows suit.

"What do we do your Majesty?" Lukas asks as soon as we get into the car.

"Lukas if you were to run away, where would you follow?" I ask cryptically while looking around the environment. He followed my gaze before responding.

"The woods my king, it will be easier to hide away that way." He answers.

"Do you have the chloroform here?"

"Yes." He answers, handing me a handkerchief that contained chloroform.

"Drive, I'll mind link you where to meet me." I step out of the car and watch as he drives away.

'Shall we go for a run, Alec?' Asking my wolf.

'I thought you'd never ask.' And we both smirk. Hahaha... Our little bride is in for a chase.

I pull off my cloth, placing the handkerchief in my trousers, as I wouldn't want to rip it while turning into my wolf. Picking up my clothes in my mouth, I make a run for it, loving the adrenaline. I sniff the air for her scent, following the footprints left on the ground. It isn't long before I hear sounds of feet hitting the ground and I know that she's close.

Swiftly turning back into my human self, I change into my clothes and make a run for it, tackling her to the ground when I got to her.

"You caused me quite a lot of stress my dear Scarlet, I see you're on the run." I mock her as her eyes widen tearfully.

"Please let me go your majesty, please I beg of you." She weeps.

"What about the payment I made to you father?" I taunt her and she goes silent at that, only making sobbing sounds.

"I can't be sold to you, I don't want to. You can't take me against my will." She raises her voice, I guess the little kitten isn't so tame after all.

"Well, that's too bad Scarlet because you belong to me whether you like it or not." I growl and she struggles against me, kicking me in the nuts. I wasn't expecting it so the pain got to me for a moment, allowing her to break free from my hold. However, that doesn't weaken me for long as I'm able to pin her down once more.

"I see you're a fighter. I'd love to have you wrestle against me in a different scenario, but for now, go to sleep, my little bride." I shush her before placing the handkerchief firmly against her nose, forcing her to breathe it in, she wrestles for a moment before eventually giving in to the drug. I take a moment to admire her beauty, she is so fucking beautiful.

"We'll have so much fun Scarlet." I mutter to myself, brushing her hair, I couldn't wait.
