Chapter 3 ABUSE FROM FATHER

Scarlet's P.O.V

I was asleep when I felt it, hands touching me. I open my eyes immediately to see that it was my father.

"Father? What are you doing?" I ask fearfully as I tries to sit up, but he just pushes me down and in one swift movement, gets on top of me.

"Shut the fuck up, Scarlet." He growls as he fiddles around with my dress. It dawns on me what was about to happen, and I shiver in fear.

"Father, you're not thinking straight, please stop" I beg but all I got was a harsh slap to my face, busting my lip open.

"I said shut the fuck up Scarlet, another word from you, and I'll rip your throat open" He threatens lowly. It was the dead of the night, no one would be awake by now, and even if they were, and they knew it was from me, no one would help.

"Father pl..." He grabs me harshly by the neck, and I could feel my face turn red from the force. I was a werewolf, but I was weak, like an omega.

"Don't you dare call me father, call me Collins." He frowns, his iris rimmed red. He was mad.

"Fath... Collins, please, let me go. You don't want to do this." Realizing that my pleas were falling on deaf ears, I resorted to fighting against him. With extended claws, I swiped my blade across his arm, cutting him deep, and he growls out in pain.

"You're ungrateful, you know that, Scarlet? I've given you everything, food, shelter, clothes, ever since you were a child, but you can't repay me with one simple thing. You're worthless." To hear my father say those harsh words to me cut deep. Tears welled up in my eyes as he got off me and left, slamming the door as he walked out. I couldn't sleep a wink all night, the fear of him coming back, coupled with what he said, demoralized me completely.

For the first time in a long time, I was glad to see that bright morning. I freshened up, went down to start my duties and got started on breakfast. Breakfast went by as usual, with Zara taunting me, my mother ignoring me and my father yelling at me more than usual. It was much later in the day, I was beyond exhausted, but I still had to finish up my chores.

"Look who it is, the unwanted child." Of course, I couldn't get a break.

"Lady Zara, do you need anything?"

"Oh no, dearie, I just came to tell you something that, I think, might interest you." She grins, that could not be good. She draws closer to me, lowering her voice while covering her mouth as if whatever she had to say shouldn't be overheard by anyone.

"I overheard Collins saying that he wants to sell you." My heart drops at that. Why would he want to sell me? I've done nothing wrong.

"What? You must have heard wrong, Lady Zara." I shook my head, unbelieving, I was his daughter. Although the events of last night wouldn't back up my thoughts.

"Perhaps, but maybe not. It'd be a delight to finally get rid of you." She says before walking away with a smirk. I couldn't be sold, at least here I knew what awaited me, but if I were to be sold, what would my fate be?

ROMAN'S P.O.V

I needed an heir, I wasn't getting any younger, and I needed a child who'd take over me. I could choose any female to bear me a child, but I wanted someone docile, someone I could tame to bear me a son. I had gone through a number of females, but none piqued my interest to bear my child.

"What about Alpha Collins? He has a daughter who is an only child. It'd be good for your reign, she's an alpha's daughter, so she must be strong enough to bear your heir." My beta, Lukas suggests. We were flipping through documents that contained information on suitable females for me.

"Alpha Collins? The alpha of the Crystal pack?"

"Yes, my King."

"I see, dig up whatever information you can find about her as soon as possible." I dismiss him.

Most alphas were close to their beta's, but I wasn't. Everyone was dispensable to me, allowing someone to get close to you would only increase your chances of getting hurt.

I was working on some documents in my office when I heard a knock on my door.

"Enter" I order and moments later, Lukas enters carrying a file.

"The information on Collin's daughter as requested." He says as he hands me the documents. Nodding my head, I flick my hand, and he takes it as his sign to leave.

"Scarlet Fairchild, 24 years old. An only child who doesn't have any friends and has never known any man." I smirk as I read, she was perfect, and she was easy to tame according to her file. Picking up my phone, I dial Collin's number, and he picks up on the second ring.

"My king, it's an honor to hear from you. To what do I owe the pleasure?" He sounds greedy, I could tell from his voice.

"Alpha Collins, I hear that you have a daughter. I want her." I go straight to the point, there was no need to beat around the bush.

"My king, of course, you can have her. For a good price, of course." I could hear the excitement in his voice. A good price? He was selling off his daughter? His only child? What sort of sick bastard would do that?

We negotiate the price and I soon hang up. We had agreed that I'd be there in two weeks' time to take her. Mindlinking Lukas, I ordered him to come to my office.

"You asked for me, my King?"

"Yes, I did, prepare for a journey. We'll be leaving for crystal pack in two weeks' time.

"Oh, tell Anabelle to prepare one of the rooms on my floor for me, I'll be bringing my bride soon."
