Chapter 4 SOLD AND ESCAPE

SCARLET'S P.O.V

It had been a few days since my conversation with Zara, yet there had been silence. Collins hadn't mentioned anything about selling me off, which made me doubt Zara's words. She probably said it just to get to me.

I was cleaning the sitting room when I heard footsteps approaching.... It was Olga.

"Scarlet, we are expecting guests, so you need to be on your best behavior. Don't make any stupid mistakes, or you'll regret it." Olga says harshly as usual before walking away. I wonder who it was, we rarely had guests over, so I guess everyone was excited.

A few hours later, while I was assisting Olga in the kitchen, I was informed that the guests had arrived and were currently with Collins in his office.

Whispers spread around the halls that it was the alpha king.... The Alpha King? I wonder what he wanted that'd make him come all the way to our pack.

Almost everyone had gathered for lunch in the dining room, and surprisingly, I was asked to sit at the table; that's new! I saw two strange men accompany Collins into the dining room, they were colossal. I wondered who among them was the Alpha king. I quickly bowed my head before I was caught staring.

"My king, allow me to introduce my daughter, Scarlet." My father said as soon as we were all seated.

"Scarlet, show your respects." Collins smiled, but that was a warning to behave.

"It's a pleasure to meet you, your Majesty" I bow.

"Look at me" His deep voice echoes, the force of it prompting me to not disobey.

Looking up at him, I am faced with a man who could only be described as a god. A scar ran across his face above his eyes, which made him look more dangerous. His eyes were a beautiful set of metallic gray. He was beyond handsome, even with the ugly scar.

Without a word, he gives a silent mid and continues eating. We had finished lunch, and I was clearing up the dishes when a maid called out to me.

"The Alpha requests your presence in his office."

Without wasting time, I hurried to the office, wiping my hands on my cloth on the way. Thoughts of why he wanted to see me rang through my head. Taking in a deep breath, I knocked and waited for him to invite me in.

"Come in" He calls out, and I enter a moment later. With him were the Alpha king and the other strange man.

"Scarlet as you know, this is the Alpha King, Alpha Roman, and his Beta Lukas..... You...." He is cut off by the scraping sounds of the Alpha King as he walked up to me. His aura intimidated me, causing me to look down in fear.

"What is your name?" Huh? Didn't he hear my father call out my name?

"Scarlet, your majesty." I answer, still facing the ground, my feet seemed fragile at this point.

"Look at me when I talk to you." He orders in a louder voice, and I shiver in fear. Summoning up courage, I look up at him.

"I'm sorry, my King. My name is Scarlet." He gives me a brief look and without another word, he looks at Lukas, and they seem to have a mind link before looking at Collins.

"Deal." That's all he says as he sits back down, but for some reason that word instills fear in me.

"Wonderful, my King, Scarlet, you may leave." Collins says excitedly.

Walking out quietly, my mind conjured up a thousand reasons why Collins was happy. Then I suddenly remembered what Zara had said a few weeks back. Could it be? No, it's impossible. Returning to the kitchen, I tried to focus on my chores, but it was nearly impossible to do.

"Scarlet, the alpha wants you." This time around it was another maid.

Once again, I found myself in Collins's office, the Alpha king and his second were nowhere in sight.

"Scarlet, pack up whatever belongings you might have, you're leaving today." He says, and my heart beats faster at that.

"Leaving? Where am I going to?"

"To the Alpha King's pack, of course. I sold you to him. You're now his property, his headache. Goddess knows whatever he saw in you, but you're no longer my headache, so get packing girl." He says nonchalantly.

"Why?" I ask in a broken voice. "What have I ever done to you? Why would you sell me to him?" I couldn't control my tears any longer, I was tired, tired of everything. Collins walks up to me menacingly.

"You're a girl, you're worthless. The only good thing you've ever brought to me was profit from selling you. I guess the only reason he bought you is, so he could fuck that pussy of yours into nothingness. I bet he wouldn't even enjoy himself, you wouldn't know how to please a man. Shame I couldn't teach you, I would have fucked you right." I had always thought that I will one day see love in my father's eyes, I always wanted him to see me as his daughter, but right now, he disgusts me. He was nothing but a sick piece of trash. A pervert.

"You disgust me, Collins, I hope you rot in hell for the rest of your miserable life." All the anger and pain I had bottled up for years came resurfacing white-hot, and I couldn't control it anymore.

"Why, you little bitch." He goes to grab my hair, but I kick him in-between his legs, aiming for that spot before making a dash for it.

I run into my mother on my way out, who drags me up to my room without saying a word. Initially, I thought she wanted to help me escape, I had hope, but that hope was dashed when I saw her packing up my things.

"Mom? What are you doing?" I ask, looking so confused.

"Mom?" I call out to her, but she just ignores me. I watch as she packs up each and every piece of my belonging and when she was done, she looks at me straight in the eyes.

"Leave."
